SSS RANKED REINCARNATION: DARK DRAGON LEGACY
Chapter 412 - 412: Demon LordSilva’s will aura had started causing extreme turbulence in hell as it kept growing in size and danger. Zareth stood watch; she was protected by the presence of Terra, who stood next to her.
When the aura reached a certain limit, Silva finally moved. He stabbed his blade into the ground. The aura that had reached into the sky flowed down into the sword at a rapid speed and entered the ground.
As it entered, the ground began trembling and cracking, spreading like webs, and white light burst out of the floor.
The entire hell was shaking and breaking apart. Zareth watched in shock; she could not believe how easily the world she knew was getting ripped apart right in front of her eyes.
Silva wanted to destroy the entire hell—no alter realms anymore.
While Silva was destroying hell, a powerful presence approached them at an outstanding speed.
Terra moved the instant she felt that energy. She flew up and stretched out her hands; a sword of light appeared and fired at the incoming being.
The Demon Lord saw the attacks. He stretched out his hand, and a sword appeared in his grasp. It seemed like a normal sword, but it held so much power.
The Demon Lord moved with grace and speed, blocking each of the swords of light. With each blocked attack, there was a massive explosion. The Demon Lord was pushed back a little, but he suffered no hit.
Zareth was shocked when she saw the Demon Lord, the strongest demon they had, in all his glory. What shocked her even more was the fact that Terra held back the Demon Lord.
“Your strength is impressive, but I will not allow you to take down my empire,” the Demon Lord spoke in his deep, reverberating voice.
He suddenly disappeared and reappeared right in front of Terra, his sword driving toward her abdomen, but a barrier of light came between his sword and her. The barrier absorbed the full attack and returned it with a blast.
The blast pushed the Demon Lord back, rolling. He used his wings to regain his balance. He didn’t stop after that. He dashed in again and attacked with a slash out of nowhere, but the barrier blocked it again.
Though he thought fast this time, dodging before the return pulse from the barrier would shoot out, he managed to evade while attacking, but none of his attacks worked.
Seeing this, he retreated a bit and pointed his sword at her. Black flames swirled around the sword and then compressed at the tip.
He fired a black beam at Terra. Terra summoned a sword of light and grabbed hold of it. She used it to block the attack. She was pushed back a little, but she wasn’t hurt.
The Demon Lord watched as she blocked the attack. It was hard to tell if he was pissed or not due to the fact that his face could not be seen.
Hell had started shattering at a faster pace. If he didn’t get past Terra, he would not be able to stop Silva and save his empire.
He raised his sword into the air. The black flames erupted and covered the sword as well. “I call upon the power of the Seven Generals,” he said in a low tone.
All the generals around hell, in their different castles, felt a tug on their souls. All their powers were drained temporarily.
The generals all fell into panic; being powerless at a time like this would cause their death. But the Demon Lord didn’t care about that. They were expendable.
Their powers flew to the Demon Lord and entered his sword. The black flames on the sword soared higher this time. He swung it in one big wave, and a gigantic flame arc shot out, the heat burning everything alive in its path.
Terra didn’t fret at the sight of this. She raised her hands to her side. Swords of light formed—thousands of them—and then they merged into one big sword that shot for the flame arc.
Both collided, and a massive explosion happened, blinding both of them. Terra used that to her advantage. She moved the instant the explosion happened.
Because she could control light, she was able to see through the brightness. She pushed forward with a sword of light in her hand.
The Demon Lord didn’t expect that while he was blinded, a sword would come for his neck. Luckily, he was able to react fast. He moved to the side, and the sword grazed his armor, melting where it touched.
The Demon Lord retreated immediately. That had been a close call that would have claimed his life. It was now that the Demon Lord understood the difficulty of the issue.
In a few minutes, the entire hell would shatter and crumble. He needed to stop Silva, or else that would be the case, but Terra was here, easily holding him back.
The Demon Lord let out a silent growl. “Even after taking my power back from the Generals, you are still holding me back. That is absurd. I will not allow it,” he said and charged again.
Terra didn’t move. She just created light swords and then fired them at the demon, but just before they hit, the Demon Lord vanished.
She turned around immediately and saw that the Demon Lord was headed for Silva. She frowned at this and gave chase.
Her speed was so great that she was catching up in seconds. The Demon Lord looked back, saw her coming, and was shocked.
He coughed out another flame arc to slow her down, but she cut through it with ease. When she caught up, she stabbed down with her sword of light.
The demon rushed his sword to block as well, but the impact from the attack sent him shooting down. He slammed into the ground and created a crater.
Terra didn’t stop there. She followed in with her sword in hand, ready to finish the job right then and there.
