The little girl killed and broke down a hundred thousand Gods into energy particles as though they were nothing, and then took their energy to create a being that was much larger in power than even all hundred thousand Gods combined.
All within seconds.
She was like a three dimensional human being compared to a series of two dimensional drawings.
She could do anything she wanted.
“See? If I wanted to harm you, I would have done so already. So quit being so suspicious and please step aside.” The little girl said with a sigh. “I don’t quite like you. I don’t want to give you any gifts. But I do like this brave young man right here. And so I will shower you with gifts. Hmph. This will teach you not to be so suspicious of a kind soul like me.” The little girl said with a pout.
She didn’t wait for Aleyria to say anything before gently but irresistibly pushed her aside with a wave of invisible energy.
“It’s alright, Aleyria.” Alexander finally spoke up. “I am fi-.”
Without waiting for Alexander to finish his sentence, the girl touched Alexander’s forehead with her index finger.
CRACKLE!
Strange lightning arcs coursed down the little girl’s finger and entered Alexander’s forehead.
“UWAH!” Alexander’s eyes bulged out in surprise at the sudden influx of sheer, unimaginable power into his soul.
“Wow! Your soul is pretty developed for a little lifeform from the lower heaven! Interesting!” The little girl shouted in excitement. “I knew it! There must be something good here! Hehehe… Here! Let me give you more!
Let’s see. Well, there’s a saying not to give fishermen fishes but to give them rods or something. Let me give you the ability to do as I did. To break down lifeforms and absorb them! It’s my secret bloodline technique. You should be honored that I am actually giving you this. But it’s not like I have a choice. I need you to be strong if I want you to help me find THAT thing. Hehehehehe…” The girl’s thoughts appeared in their minds completely unfiltered and uncensored except for the final thing which she was looking for.
Aleyria gritted her teeth in slight annoyance, exasperation and irritation. But mostly, it was in helplessness.
As she watched the little girl inject power into her husband’s forehead, she suddenly realized that… the feeling of utter desolation and doom had actually disappeared!
And she had no idea when it happened. It was still there at full force when the eye appeared. But when the girl’s voice suddenly appeared in their minds, the feeling had very slowly and gradually subsided.
It was so smooth that Aleyria didn’t notice it happening!
“Does this mean that she isn’t dangerous? I mean she obviously has the strength to destroy this realm countless times over. But does she have the intention too?
And then, before she could analyze the situation further, the worst sound Aleyria could ever dream of hearing in that moment suddenly sounded from the little girl.
“HUH? Why is…”
A bright golden light suddenly appeared from the girl’s eyes!
And then, both Alexander and the little girl crumpled down in a dead faint.
“ALEXANDER!!” Aleyria screamed in horror as she immediately caught him in her arms.
Magius blinked forward and gently caught the little girl as well.
With the little girl in an unconscious state, the massive spatial gash from which she entered their realm also collapsed within itself and closed with a very loud SCLEB!
Elliot immediately opened up a portal to their location and stepped through along with Jessica Sands in tow.
“How is he?” Elliot asked as soon as he reached them.
“His pulse and his bodily functions are fine. In fact, more than fine! At this very moment, his body is still absorbing the energy from the two devils. However, his soul strength is extremely faint!” Aleyria cried out frantically.
“Soul strength?” Elliot said thoughtfully. He was a peak Hegemon, and although he was more than powerful enough to kill Ancients, he hadn’t developed an active soul which could help Alexander.
However, the strange beast which the little girl had created, Leiget, suddenly stepped forward.
“Their souls have been sent to a different place. I have no idea why that happened, but apparently, she triggered certain forbidden laws when she tried to gift her bloodline power to a being of multiple souls such as Master.” Leiget said.
“Where exactly have their souls been sent to? And who was the one who did the sending?” Aleyria asked Leiget sharply.
“I do not have any idea.” Leiget shook its head slowly. “I could sense their souls departing earlier when the forbidden law was transgressed and its consequential runes appearing within Master’s soul.
“Runes?” Jessica Sands cocked one eyebrow. “Show me those runes.”
Leiget turned to look at Jessica Sands calmly.
“Do as she says. She is a rune expert.” Elliot said to Aleyria.
“Do it.” Aleyria said.
Leiget nodded and obeyed his Master’s wife without hesitation.
With only his mental strength, he conjured up an image of the rune he saw within Alexander’s soul.
Jessica Sands studied it for a quick moment, and then frowned.
“Can you understand it? Is it too complex for you?” Aleyria asked her urgently.
“It isn’t too complex for me. It’s just that… It’s gibberish. This rune doesn’t make any sense. It’s as though it isn’t a rune, but merely meaningless complex lines clumped together in a strange pattern.” Jessica Sands said. “The energy structures aren’t there, and there is no function to these lines.”
“It’s not an energy based rune. This rune is based on Laws.” Leiget said calmly.
“Laws? What do you mean?” Jessica Sands asked curiously.
“Energy provides the power for work to be done. It can only be manipulated. It cannot be created or destroyed. Laws are the creation and destruction of energy.” Leiget said.
“Creation and destruction of energy… That’s why she could kill the two devils so easily! And that’s why she could create you so easily!” Elliot cried out in understanding.
