[Flashback ends]
A single drop of tear trickled down her cheeks.
'I should have never chosen him' she thought. She always knew about it… always knew of his selfish nature. Yet she chose to ignore and trust him. Her love had made her blind unable to see his faults. Her kind and caring nature had led to her downfall.
'Is there no way to revert all of this back? I want to start anew'
"Verona… I just had to do this for both of us!"
'Both of us? Do you think that I am some bloodthirsty woman who needs her own friends to die?' Every word that Dant spoke, she misinterpreted it in the wrong way. She had grown to be paranoid of him.
*Swish*
"Ugh!"
With no warning… and without a moment's notice, Verona pierced his chest with Bret's sword.
*cough*
Dant coughed out blood. All of it happened too suddenly for him, he wasn't even able to react. He turned his gaze to the sword impaling his chest. Blood tickled through the length of the sword as it ran to the wielder's hand and drizzled through it.
*Drip*
As if by instinct he pulled his hands closer and held onto the sword's blade, doing his best to pull it out. His palms got cut on the sword's blade which added to the already dripping blood. But to no avail, he couldn't pull it out. The wielder had held onto the sword firmly. To his horror, Dant looked up trying to figure out what had happened. His face was ashen from what he saw.
There she was, holding onto the sword with both of her hands not letting it loose. Her eyes blood-red from the tears she had shed and from the anger, she felt towards him. She was taking quick breaths as her plentiful chest heaved up and down and her nostrils flared.
"Ve…Ro… Na…"
Dant tried to get that name out of his mouth but to no avail. His body fell limp as his soul got out of his body. With the sword now being his only support, his shoulders limped and so did his head. His limping face had lost all colour as blood had drained from it.
Verona had struck him when he was most defenceless, not letting him have any chance to defend. The guilt that Dant felt towards his deeds and his desire to persuade Verona rendered him defenceless to the oncoming sword. That resulted in his death.
"This is the end…"
The blood gushing out from his chest was increasing more and more. Verona let go of the hilt of her sword as she sidestepped letting the body fall.
*thud*
The body jolted as the sword was impaled further inside it with the fall. But he neither squirmed nor cried out in pain. It was already as good as dead. Verona stood there watching the body motionlessly as her chest heaved up and down.
She was driven solely by her intense emotions. The killing was definitely not for her. It took a great toll on her mind to kill, after all, she was not a shameless murderer like him.
She took out an arrow from within her inventory and put it close to her neck. She could feel the coldness of the metal brushed against her neck as she closed her eyes cutting off some of her other senses.
"This is the end…"

Klautz got back his sanity as his head stopped spinning around like crazy.
[Initialization complete]
[User has been granted the demonic class: Vassal Lord]
Klautz opened his eyes that were tight shut due to the pain. The system message in front of him, he almost choked.
'Demonic Class?'
Before thinking of the possibilities such a class might possess, he first chose to curse his luck for not getting the puppeteer class. After all, that was his goal from the very start.
After all, what was the puppeteer class? A secret class. Anyone who had a secret class was a powerhouse in himself back in hell.
"Tch, why this?" Not able to get his hands onto it, Klautz clicked his tongue. Klautz always felt annoyed when a random variable came in and ruined his perfectly made plan.
'Looks like there is nothing I can do. I have to give up on puppeteer class.' Klautz was quick to move on. He wasn't the type to whin for long for he had much more to do than whine about his failures.
Klautz looked around. What he saw next was completely out of his imagination, causing his eyes to be shot out wide.
'What is she doing?' Klautz thought. Verona had stuck a sword in Dant's body making it limp.
*thud*
The body fell to the floor. Klautz watched as Verona took out a rather sharp arrow and placed it on her neck. She pushed the arrow forward piercing her neck, blood flowed out from the small orifice she had created.
But her hands shook. She closed her eyes but it was no better, she couldn't kill herself.
She is not the type to kill. But her anger for Dant was so huge that it had surpassed everything and made her move. But could she kill herself? No, that was too hard for her. Her palms shot open as she let go of the arrow. She felt scared even to hold onto it.
*shing*
It made a shrill sound as it fell to the floor.
"What the… what are you doing?" Klautz shot out.
His voice crept into her ears. In this turn of events, she had completely forgotten about him. She slowly opened her eyes.
'Now he would think that I am a killer as well'
She sighed. But one thing is confirmed by both of them. It is that she cannot kill herself. She is not courageous enough to do that.
'Maybe he can?'
