98 The Cabal Strikes Again
Inside a room, a tall man with orange, spiky hair sat in front of a desk with his hand clenched into a fist.
He was on the phone with someone and judging from the expression that he had on his face, the discussion was upsetting. His hand was clenched into a fist, and he wore a stern look on his face.
The tall man with spiky was the famous Vincent Walker. And after a few seconds of listening to what the person on the other end was saying, Vincent’s loud voice rang out.
“I asked you to do one thing, and you screwed it. You should keep your mouth shut because if anyone ever finds out that I was involved in this with you, consider yourself done for.”
Bang!
A second after Vincent spoke, the room door was slammed open, and two figures stepped into the room.
When Vincent saw the two that had just entered the room, his eyes twitched, and he abruptly stood from his seat. He flashed a rough smile at the three of them and then said.
“Hmm... To what do I owe this pleasure.” Vincent said, and the smile on his widened.
The pale teenager with light hair and pinkish eyes stared at the young man beside him, and as he shifted his gaze to Vincent, his lips curved inwardly.
.....
“Nothing much.” Glenn responded, “We just came to meet the young man who didn’t heed our warnings, and perhaps our existence itself means nothing to him.” Glenn said.
Vincent’s mouth opened loosely, and a horizontal wrinkle appeared on his forehead. He stared at Glenn and the man with black straggly hair and maniac red eyes that was beside him and said.
“I believe there is some misunderstanding.” Vincent blurted. “I don’t think I have crossed part with the cabal or any of you before.”
“Whatever it is that occurred that made you have this impression of me, it is false. So, please kindly walk yourself out of my room, I won’t be entertaining either of you.” Vincent said.
For some reason, when Glenn and the young man beside him heard Vincent, an expression full of mockery appeared on both of their faces.
“Didn’t I make myself clear!” Vincent raised his voice, and he then excluded a bit of killing intent from his body.
However, his killing intent was soon dismissed by a casual wave of hand from the young man with straggly hair. The man then took a step forward, and while Vincent didn’t move from where he was, the look on his face became grim.
“Vincent, we know about what you did, and whether you choose to accept it or not, you’re going to face the consequence of your actions,” Glenn said.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, but if it’s a battle you want, then I won’t back out from that.” As Vincent spoke, several tentacles appeared behind him, with each one of them looking extremely ferocious.
He assumed a battle stance quickly, and after glaring at Glenn and the young man, he said, “You should think carefully about what you’re about to do.”
“You’d be attacking a core member of the council and even though an agreement exists between the cabal and the student council, I’m certain it wouldn’t hold a thing if one of their members is attacked.” Vincent blurted.
Glenn raised an eyebrow and a second after he burst into laughter.
“Haha hahaha!!!!”
He continued to laugh, and it was only after a few seconds that he stopped laughing. “Fool!” Glenn exclaimed, “One would think the older you become, the wiser you would become, but that isn’t true in your case.”
“You’re just becoming more foolish as the days goes on.”
“Y-You...” Vincent stuttered, he wanted to speak but was soon interrupted by Glenn’s voice that rang out.
Glenn sneered, “The student’s council must have made you assume that the cabal gives a shit about the agreement. We simply went quiet because we wanted to lie low, and not because of that agreement that was made.”
“We would have not acted against any of you if you had simply listened to us. But, you didn’t, and you will pay for the consequences of your action.” Glenn said.
While it was Glenn’s voice that rang out, he wasn’t the one who made a move. Instead, it was the young man beside him.
Vincent was already prepared, and as soon as the man dashed towards him, the tentacles that were behind him moved quickly. They moved in different directions, but their target was the same.
Despite being in the face of the tentacles, the young man didn’t back down, and he continued to charge forward. Both of his hands had transformed, and a razor-sharp claw appeared on the tip of his finger.
It wasn’t then just his hands that changed, and as he opened his mouth slightly, sharp fangs had emerged.
Vincent’s eyes twitched, and he moved a step backward. He knew his opponent was extremely powerful, but seeing how the tentacles were being chopped into pieces, he realized that he had underestimated the man.
And before the situation would even become dangerous for him, Vincent immediately gathered more dark forces around him. He went offensive without holding anything back, and at the same time, he was on his guard.
“We don’t want him entirely dead, just both of his hands and legs would do,” Glenn spoke.
When Vincent heard Glenn, he gasped heavily, and he was soon drenched in sweat. He stared at the person who was destroying every tentacle that came his way, and after giving it a thought, Vincent shifted his gaze to the room window.
“I can’t go all out because of this confined space, I’m going to have to flee,” Vincent said inwardly.
Once that decision was made, he didn’t waste any more time and immediately moved. As one of the tentacles broke the window, Vincent hurried out quickly.
However, Vincent had only taken one foot out of the room and was about to move the other, when he was suddenly held.
Panic instantly swept through Vincent’s body when he felt that hand on his leg. He quickly sent the tentacles around him towards the young man that just held him, but similar to his other attacks, the tentacle’s efforts were all fruitless.
As they came in contact with the young man, they broke down. The man didn’t even have to lift his hand, as merely brushing through his body was enough to destroy them.
Thud!
With a bit of force added, the man pulled Vincent back and then slammed him heavily to the floor.
Cracks formed all over the floor, and blood flew out Vincent’s mouth in an arc manner. The slam hit Vincent so hard that he wasn’t able to lift a muscle around his body.
“Argh~!”
The attack didn’t just end there for Vincent, and what followed after his body was slammed on the floor came a full-force kick right at his rib cage.
Vincent’s body hit the wall in the room, and before his body could even hit the floor, he was raised by the young man and then given a powerful choke slam.
“Pffftttt!” Blood was oozing profusely out of Vincent’s mouth. Every attack was brutal, and before he could recover from the pain that was coursing through his body when he felt a leg placed on his abdomen.
He was able to open his eyes and as he saw that same straggly-haired man in front of him, his mouth opened slightly. He wanted to speak, but when the words left his words, it wasn’t what was expected.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!” Vincent screamed loudly as his right hand was being pulled by the man in front of him.
The sound of bones cracking rang out, and Vincent could also feel his shoulder tissue tearing apart. Vincent’s scream only got louder and louder than his hand was being torn apart.
There was absolutely no remorse or pity on the young man’s face and in order not to let Vincent break free from his grasp, he applied more force to his leg.
Not only was Vincent finding it difficult to breathe, but he was also dealing with the pain of his hand being pulled apart.
Vincent’s body suddenly trembled violently, almost as though he were having a seizure. “Argh~!” And followed by another loud scream of agony, Vincent’s arm was yanked off his body.
As blood gushed out of his hand, a sadistic smile appeared on the young man’s face. The cries of anguish from Vincent seemed to be completely irrelevant to him, and a few seconds after the right arm was gone, he moved to the left hand.
Crush!
The man stomped his leg on Vincent’s left hand, crushing every piece that was present there. And once the bones were crushed, he pulled out the hand at full force.
Vincent’s body shook, his body was covered in blood, and his breathing only became rougher with each second that passed.
Despite the brutal state that Vincent was rendered in, there still wasn’t any expression of pity on the young man’s face and instead, he appeared to be disgusted by the way Vincent was screaming.
“Please...” Vincent spoke in a low voice.
His words, however, didn’t hold any weight as after the young man referred to as the ripper seized him up, he shifted his gaze to Vincent’s leg.
The young man was about to make a move on the leg when Glenn’s voice rang out.
“That’s enough, ripper.” Glenn said, “I’m certain he wouldn’t dare make the same mistake again.” With a bone-chilling smile on his face, Glenn said.
“Inform the council that this is merely a tip of the iceberg, and if any of you try to make a move on Raphael again, the cabal would be waging war on the council.”
With that said, Glenn and the ripper walked out of the room.
