Chapter 994: Where’s Xu Feng?

As Xu Feng’s body began to change and receive a tremendous upgrade, back at the ascended platform, it finally stopped at one of the highest floors.

The door in front of them opened up a glamorous view.

"Welcome, holders of the VIP Ticket." A server quickly greeted them and smiled politely. "The seniors and seeded candidates are waiting up ahead. Do keep in mind to understand the candidates might be focusing their mindset on the upcoming competition."

The crowd nodded their heads in understanding. Naturally, none of them were foolish enough to disturb the candidates.

They were only here to converse and greet the candidates’ seniors. Each senior was a reputable and influential figure whom even their family elders had to respect.

While they were being guided along by the server, the crowd was soon greeted by many other people who were holding glasses of champagne and chatting among others.

These people arrived even earlier without the need for a VIP ticket. This difference alone was enough to depict their standings.

"Hmm, where’s Xu Feng at?" Amidst someone at the front, a woman frowned upon not spotting a familiar figure.

"Uncle Alfred, are you sure you gave him a VIP ticket?" The woman was none other than Allison, who quickly darted her eyes at Alfred.

Alfred was also confused by the situation and turned his attention to Zhao Kai.

Upon feeling their intense gaze, Zhao Kai raised his hands up innocently. "Feng told me that he will come. I don’t know why he’s not up here."

After saying that, Zhao Kai took out his phone and wanted to call Xu Feng, only to end up going to voicemail.

"I told you that the design of this is crap." Allison glared at her uncle and said in annoyance. "If Xu Feng really made it to the exclusive lot, we wouldn’t know either because there are no services in that particular section."

"Let me go forward and ask a few of the newcomers to see." Without a choice, Alfred stepped forward and inquired a few people.

Had they known beforehand, then they would have risked everything to inform the latter to hurry up to the platform.

Not only would they have done Xu Feng a great favor, but they would also be recognized for their good deed in Alfred’s eyes.

Seeing the two behaving like they had just missed a pot of gold, Alfred’s expression turned slightly cold.

Rather than questioning these two men, his attention soon shifted to the woman, Hua Lian.

Upon hearing that, Alfred nodded his head.

"Thanks for the honesty." He calmly said and noted down Hua Lian’s name in his mind. As for the other two young men, Alfred was disappointed in them.

It was fine to secure your own future, but to attempt to conceal or stay silent about an incident proved that they weren’t the type to own their mistakes or take responsibility.

Such people were destined to always cower in fear and wouldn’t be able to reach a higher state.

With the information on hand, Alfred returned to Allison’s side and informed her of the matter.

Sure enough, Allison’s expression showed a baffled look.

"You mean that he took a nap and missed the platform?" Even when asking that, Allison found it hard to believe Xu Feng would miss it.

Not to mention Allison, even Zhao Kai was stupefied and wondered if the elder brought in some fake news.

Just when Vera was about to connect with the emergency unit and drive toward a nearby hospital, Xu Feng’s voice halted her.

"Disable the protocol, Vera." Xu Feng exhaled deeply and said somewhat in a daze. "I’m just practicing some technique. My body and health are fine."
