Chapter 1046: Phantasm Sea
As soon as Xu Feng sailed the gold ranked warship to enter the Phantasm Sea, the system swiftly issued a severe warning and notification.
The notification was something to be expected. If a player were able to access their system map while out in the sea, then the sea navigation and sea map would be pointless.
As for the vision being limited, that was also very natural. The sea was filled with the same water scenery, and due to the environment, it was difficult for players to see far in their ship anyway.
Even in the real world, sailing ships experienced the same thing or possibly worse.
Hence, Xu Feng was very chill with it. But what caught him by surprise was the system warning.
"The region is too high level for me?" A smile soon crept up on his face. He was surprised because he couldn’t believe that such a good thing was actually happening.
What he wanted more was to face even higher level sea creatures that resided in the Phantasm Sea.
After all, it was time for him to get rid of his low level status.
’I wonder if I can skyrocket straight to the level 60s in this venture.’ He was hopeful about his objective being reached. Because, unlike others who only dared to boast without any substance, he could actually back them up.
Sometime later, Xu Feng realized the Phantasm Sea deserved its reputation.
Despite not having an environmental debuff, Xu Feng could feel his stamina draining quickly. His health was also depleting because of the seawater itself.
The phantasm sea had a unique property that wasn’t recognized as an imposed debuff from the system. Instead, it was a natural debuff that dampened the sailors once they set into the sea.
"Phew, this is going to be fun." He commented and glanced at the Phantasm Map.
As the ship continued to advance, the map would update in real time.
Soon, there were four red dots fast approaching his ship. Needless to say, they were the sea monsters that dwelled in the Phantasm Sea.
Amused, Xu Feng quickly decreased the knots by a few numbers, purposely slowing the momentum of his gold ranked warship.
With the speed decreased, he then shifted his attention to the weaponry available in the warship.
This particular warship didn’t require ammo to fire any powerful shot. Instead, it utilized the water as its ammo reserve. By having a rune that automatically converted the water absorbed into a powerful cannon-like substance, one could say the weaponry in warships was unlimited.
Of course, there was still some downside. One of them was being careful when using the cannons to fire repeatedly.
After all, unlimited didn’t mean the weapon itself wouldn’t overheat.
Oftentimes, amateur players would fire without giving the cannon some resting time, which inadvertently overloaded the cannon.
As Xu Feng angled the cannons to direct at the four red dots, his eyes narrowed in a glinted light.
"Enjoy some hydro cannons." He sneered and fired as soon as the sea monsters underwater reached the range.
BOOM!
A total of four shots were fired at different angles and trajectories. The water also exploded upon impact from the powerful hydro cannons.
Simultaneously, Xu Feng’s slow experience bar was starting to rise dramatically.
In the blink of an eye, his level instantly went to 40, and it didn’t seem to have any intention of stopping any time soon.
Just when Xu Feng thought he would continuously level up, the bar stopped at 80% at level 40.
System: You have killed four Phantasm Lobsters!
As the system prompt popped up, Xu Feng hurriedly checked what levels the Phantasm Lobsters were.
"Level 58... no wonder my experience skyrocketed even though I have the experience debuffed from the hidden class." A look of exhilaration colored Xu Feng’s eyes. His experience points had always been very slow despite killing so many monsters above his levels.
However, this was the first time when his experience points were rising like the morning sun.
Even with his proficiency in controlled emotion, he lost himself in the joy momentarily. He was the only player at the Phantasm Sea anyway.
Who could see him behaving wildly?
Absolutely no one!
With the Phantasm Lobsters being killed, Xu Feng made sure to sail the ship closer to the corpses and pick up their bodies, along with the possible drop loot.𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Utilizing the warship facility, Xu Feng soon reeled in the drop loot onto the deck.
His eyes glistened in joy when he saw what he managed to obtain.

The lower rarity items might not be much, but the fact that he managed to obtain a blueprint for an aquatic set from his first kill spoke volumes.
"My luck is finally turning around." Xu Feng nearly went to his knees and cried tears of joy.
Not only was his level quickly catching up to the mainstream players, but he was also reaping a ton of loot. If it continued at this pace, then Xu Feng was destined to widen the gap between him and the rest by a gigantic margin.
"Time to resume the journey!" He exclaimed and hurriedly turned up the knots.
