Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 1007: Requests From Other VIP Booths

Chapter 1007: Requests From Other VIP Booths

Feeling the burning gazes from multiple people, Xu Feng was rather uncomfortable. He had been keeping a low profile since he entered the VIP Booth. Nobody even paid any heed to him.

Yet Zhao Kai decided to oust him by constantly staring at his booth.

It would have been fine at the start because nobody really had a sense of his capability. However, now that he had defeated a seeded fighter in a shocking manner, his every move was scrutinized.

Thus, his repeated action of glancing at his booth would inadvertently cause others to ponder his identity.

Meanwhile, Allison seemed to understand Xu Feng’s concern and explained, "Rest assured, Feng. Every VIP ticket holder has their identity strictly regulated and protected. Not even the judges or the government could learn of your identity unless it was an emergency."

"Emergency is subjective when it comes to the government." Xu Feng rolled his eyes.

"It is, but I doubt the government is foolish enough to provoke all the VIPs here." Rebecca suddenly chimed in.

"Keep in mind that not all VIPs hail from third-graded cities. Some are from first-graded cities, so the government would think twice to investigate someone with such status." She added, informing Xu Feng of the hidden taboos.

Nodding, Xu Feng finally heaved a sigh of relief. Alas, it was only for a brief moment when Rebecca flashed a sly grin.

"Well, the government and others can’t discover your identity, but the same cannot be said for fellow VIP Tickets." She said and darted her eyes at Allison, seemingly indicating for the latter to finish the explanation.

Allison could only shake her head in defeat. Even if she wanted to conceal the matter now, it was impossible thanks to Rebecca exposing it outright.

"The booths here are interconnected," Allison exhaled softly. "It shouldn’t be long before we receive some messages from the other booth."

"..."

Although it was brief and not very explicit, Xu Feng understood that his booth would soon be bombarded by requests to meet or chat. He came here to spectate a fight without any intention of building any social network or interacting with others.

"The booth... does Kai know about it?" Xu Feng inquired. He held some doubts that such information should have been known to him. After all, Alfred was constantly by his side, acting as the mentor and elder to Zhao Kai.

Sure enough, Allison hesitated briefly before nodding her head.

Clenching his fist, Xu Feng realized Zhao Kai had been giving him some payback for ditching the latter to train under Alfred.

Zhao Kai might have been grateful, but as buddies, resentment was definitely there.

"How many booths have tried to contact us?" Xu Feng turned to Rebecca and asked. Almost all the time, Rebecca was the one controlling the screen while Xu Feng lay behind his back to relax.

His body had just finished some transformation, so he didn’t wish to exert himself too much.

"Around 70% of the VIP Booth has expressed interest in meeting with us. They wanted to discuss the competition together." Rebecca responded.

’That many?" Startled, Xu Feng couldn’t comprehend these VIP Ticket holders.

Did they all have that much free time to be curious about others?

Looking at Xu Feng’s frowning expression, Rebecca chuckled. "The 70% VIP Ticket holders are basically people like us, albeit very inferior. They are rich heirs who sought to make connections with fellow people of similar status to boost themselves. Only the remaining 30% are the influential people on par with Elder Alfred."

"I see..." Xu Feng nodded and said, "Then reject them all. I don’t want to lose my mood dealing with people like them."

"Ahem," Rebecca coughed and glanced at him.

"I mean inferior people like them. The very inferior kinds." He corrected himself. Without a doubt, Rebecca was somewhat offended by his grouping which included her into the category.

Satisfied, Rebecca swiftly rejected all their contacts, stating that they were occupied with another big person.

Although the reasoning was a bit lacking, the people from the other booths could only give up. They were also the type to refuse any sort of distraction if they were commanded to take care of an influential person on par with the elders in their family.

Hence, they weren’t offended by the refusal reasoning. And it also showed how shrewd Rebecca could be. In a mere instant, she managed to shut down all requests while offering them no chance of holding any resentment.

"Anyway, Kai finished his battle for the day. I’m going to retreat now." Xu Feng stood up and was ready to take his exit.

"You’re leaving already?" Rebecca was stunned. But her eyes widened in disbelief when she spotted Allison standing up already, almost as if she had anticipated Xu Feng to be leaving once Zhao Kai’s battle ended.

Since the two of them were leaving, Rebecca held no interest in staying further.

Sometime later, the trio exited the booth and was about to return to the lobby, only to be halted by the people from the other VIP Booths.

It appeared that some of them were waiting for a while.

"Miss Rebecca, it’s an honor to meet you here. I’m Jackie of the Carlson Family." A man identified as Jackie stepped forward and greeted Rebecca.

"Carlson Family?" Rebecca frowned a bit and looked at the man in front of her as if he was a buffoon.

"You mean the family currently involved in a huge sexual harassment scandal? Get out of my face before I have you detained as well." She hissed coldly.

People like Jackie were precisely the type that Rebecca despised and became heavily disgusted with.

Jackie’s expression darkened when he was told to scram.

"Is there a need to be that harsh, Miss Rebecca?" He gritted his teeth and asked. He could tell the people from behind were making all kinds of faces at him. His family was involved in a sexual harassment scandal, but he was cleared of such mess.

"Let’s go," Rebecca didn’t even bother with Jackie’s words. She turned to Xu Feng and Allison and suggested they get some food.

Allison nodded and Xu Feng was about to nod his head when he noticed Jackie stepped too close to them.
