Regressor Instruction Manual

Chapter 1089: Rohen Continent (9)

“You damn thug! You bastard!” I shouted.

“M-Master…”

“You disgusting scum!” I yelled.

“Master! P-Please calm down.”

“Don’t tell me to calm down! How dare he mess this up for me. I even pierced my ears. Damn it! How dare he!” I continued.

“Master, p-please calm down. U-Use the tentacles… to calm—”

“What do you mean use the tentacles? They won’t help me calm down, damn it!” I interrupted.

I couldn't break the table or the chairs, so I grabbed the teacup on the table and threw it to the ground. However, I heard a dull sound instead of a clatter. I was getting a bit angry. I pulled out the Sword of Sunset and swung it at the statue, but I couldn't hear anything other than a dull noise. I even felt like my palms were being torn apart.

‘I want to break something, damn it. Only by doing can I relieve my stress.’

I couldn't see anything that I could break, so I eventually grabbed the cookie on the plate and threw it on the ground before stomping on it. I felt kind of better when I saw the crushed cookie, but…

[I-I’m sorry, God of Sacrifice and Revival. I-I…]

I got angry again when I heard Gharbia's voice.

“...”

[I think… there was some sort of mistake.]

"A mistake? Will that make everything okay? You think saying that will make me feel better?"

[I’m sorry. I have nothing more to say.]

"I waited over two and a half hours for that jerk. What were you doing instead of bringing him to me?"

[W-We couldn’t contact him either. He must’ve purchased a privacy screen at the coin shop… but I clearly heard him say that he was coming…]

“Security! I want the manager here right now,” I said.

“Y-Yes, sir?”

“Are you sure you delivered the letter to him?” I asked.

“Yes. I delivered the letter to a strange human with tanned skin and blond hair. I can still remember the tattoo on his shoulder,” the manager answered.

“And you saw him read the letter?” I asked.

“Yes. I heard him say that he’ll visit you at the time written in the letter. He looked at me with a bit of curiosity and waved his hand. It seemed like he was telling me to leave, so I said goodbye and returned… That’s all.”

“And he still ignored it?” I mumbled.

“...”

“He received the letter, and we even got his answer, but he decided not to come, anyway?” I questioned.

‘Is he crazy?’

Was he insane?

“I’m sorry.”

‘What was that bastard doing?’

[God of Sacrifice and Revival!]

"What? What? What is it now, damn it!"

[It’s Woo Hyo-Yeol. I managed to get a hold of him!]

"Really? What did he say? He’s coming now? Tell him that it’s already late… and that it’s no use."

[...]

"What? What did he say?"

[H-He said he fell asleep.]

"..."

[...]

[And that…]

[He changed… his mind… and doesn’t want to go anymore…]

"..."

[H-He said it’s bothersome…]

“...”

[What… should we do, God of Sacrifice and Revival?]

"Why the hell are you asking me that?"

[If I could, I would tear all of his limbs off right now, but…]

“...”

[The sad thing is that I can’t do that. How… how could he make the symbol of sacrifice and revival wait?!]

‘It’s really annoying to see him change his attitude in the blink of an eye.’

He started calling Hyo-Yeol a jerk instead of Mr. Hyo-Yeol.

I was sure he was frustrated as well.

I was the one who sent the invitation, but the incompetent administrator started all of this himself. It had only been a few hours since he showed off to me in an effort to earn my compliment, but the situation turned for the worse, so I couldn’t imagine how nervous he was right now.

If I had to make a comparison, it was like the new hire had scheduled a meeting with the CEO of another business, but the meeting was canceled for some ridiculous reason.

It wasn't his fault, but I was sure he felt like it was his fault.

Moreover, it wasn't like he made no mistakes as well.

[I’ll make sure he pays for this, God of Sacrifice and Revival.]

‘And how are you going to do that? Shouldn’t you take responsibility before doing that?’

The ones supporting Hyo-Yeol weren't Gharbia but the people in his faction. To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if the higher-ups considered Woo Hyo-Yeol to be more important than some lowly tutorial administrator. I was sure he'd never be able to pressure Woo Hyo-Yeol, even if the world ended up crashing down.

I couldn't understand why this faction had chosen him as their regressor, but all I could think about was that they had made a mistake. This jerk was just…

‘A bastard who does whatever he wants.’

He wasn’t a social misfit but someone who simply didn’t want to adapt to society.

He hadn't failed to adapt to society like our good-looking and nice Hyun-Sung due to some unforeseen circumstances. He was refusing to fit in with society. He had no intention of keeping promises, and he only made selfish decisions.

Even if we were to come to an agreement, there’d be no guarantee that he’d keep his promise. I was sure that he either thought that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to meet me, got annoyed at the administrator, or suddenly wanted to meet someone new.

I was sure that either of those was the reason he decided to see me once, but…

‘He stood me up not because he had no choice but to do so.’

He was suddenly sleepy, so he decided not to come. He was the type of person that Hye-Jin noona, Commander Jin, and I despised the most.

Actually, Commander Jin would hate him more than me. He wouldn't just complain and insult him in front of me; it was highly likely that he wouldn't even acknowledge Woo Hyo-Yeol’s presence. He was someone who deserved to be eliminated and left behind.

‘Guys like him are the most annoying to handle.’

The reason he had yet to be eliminated and left behind was that he was a genius.

‘Hee-Ra noona trained as well.’

She had told me that she wasn't the type to train, but I was sure she had done tons of research to see how much stronger she could get. There was no need for me to mention her outlook toward life. From afar, it seemed like she was always drinking, but up close, one could see that she was simply restraining herself.

Regardless of hangovers or whatever issues, she'd always stick to her schedule, and she wasn't ashamed of respecting those weaker than her. She was the type of person who had no need to fit in with society, but she worked harder than anyone else to adapt to society.

Now that I thought about it, she had a pretty big heart as well.

Wheew… damn it…” I mumbled.

Jerks who trusted only in their skills without knowing their place were bound to meet their end.

Whoo…

“What would you like to do, Master? How about we drag him—”

“No, there’s no need for that,” I interrupted him.

‘He might make a huge deal and say that I'm picking a fight with him.’

“...”

‘It’s your loss, not mine.’

His only strengths were his natural talent and the fact that he was a regressor.

I wasn’t even sure if he could make full use of that fact. I wasn’t sure if he could even remember each and every incident on the previous timeline and if he could even make an impact on this timeline.

I was sure the only incidents he remembered were incidents centered around him.

Unfortunately for him, the smallest change would change everything.

‘Because I’m here.’

The future was already changing because of my presence.

I was monopolizing the coins that were supposed to be spread out throughout the entire continent, and the higher-ups who were supposed to be GENIUSES of other people were supporting me.

Those who wanted to become stronger couldn't receive an opportunity to do so because of me, and they wouldn't even be able to create a familia due to the reduced funds.

The biggest change in this round was that a sunset familia had appeared from out of nowhere.

‘It’s better if I train some of them. I can choose someone among the players… or…’

'Make them come to me. If they’re not curious about me, I’ll make them curious.'

"Hey…"

[...]

"Hey, admin. Did you say this place has a report card system here?"

[That’s right, God of Sacrifice and Revival. When it comes to incidents considered mainstream, such as those similar to the tutorial dungeon, we divide the players into those who are active and those who are not, regardless of their contribution level. We line up the top ten players and reward them with coins for their performance.]

"That’s nice."

[...]

"What’s the current progress of the Beginner’s Trial?"

[I can’t tell—]

"What’s the progress?"

[It's about half-complete, but there’s still the hidden quest, God of Sacrifice and Revival. A-as I mentioned, the location of the hidden quest is not something that I can divulge—]

“No, that's enough,” I interrupted him.

“...”

The dungeon's design was grand, but I was sure the administrator of this tutorial wasn't better than me when it came to designing dungeons.

‘I have workers as well.’

I could use them while creating content and…

[The tutorial dungeon, Beginner’s Trial, is complete. We pay our respects to all surviving players. We will now proceed with the entry process into the Rohen Continent.]

[Mainstream Beginner’s Trial Raid Ranking.]

[1. Lee Ki-Young: 2,524,551 Points]

[2. Han Sora: 1,131,117 Points]

[3. Woo Hyo-Yeol: 1,016,133 Points]

[...]

[...]

[9. Jung Ha-Yan…]

[We’ll be giving out coins and items to the top players of the Beginner’s Trial raid.]

I saw Hyo-Yeol’s pitiful report card. His report card was so pitiful that even Han Sora managed to beat him.

Pfft!

“...”

Pfft! Hehehe!

***

“Lee Ki-Young? Han Sora? Who are these guys?”

***

Hahahahaha!

***

“Lee Ki-Young… who the hell is this guy? How… how did he…”

***

Hahahahahahahahaha!
