Chapter 2343: Rescue
"Like this?" The girl asked.
"Perfect." Yu Qi nodded.
"What is she going to do?" The man asked.
Yu Qi did not bother to answer the question. She administered general anaesthesia to the old woman. She cleaned the area that she needed to cut. She tore the plastic with her teeth and took out the blade. She took a deep breath.
"Hey!!! What are you going to do?" The man shouted in horror. He was about to rush to Yu Qi.
Long Hui quickly grabbed his collar.
"Argh!!! Let me go..." The man shouted.
Yu Qi paid no attention to the noise. She focused her attention on the old woman in front of her right now. She was about to perform the tracheostomy procedure. She could not be careless.
Yu Qi carefully made a horizontal incision in the lower part of the front of the neck, through the skin and muscles. Then, she retracted the muscles to expose the trachea. Seeing the trachea being exposed, she made a small hole between the second and third tracheal rings.
She took the tracheostomy tube and inserted it into the small hole, then secured it with tape. She connected it to the pump. She began to pump the air into the old woman's lungs. She repeated the actions several times.
"Please.... Please... Breathe." Yu Qi said.
After a moment, Yu Qi finally saw the old woman's chest begin to move up and down. Yu Qi was relieved. Even though she was still unconscious, her life was not in danger. They needed to wait for the ambulance to come.
"She is fine now." Yu Qi said to the people around.
Long Hui finally released the man's collar from his grip. The man walked to his mother. Seeing his mother breathe, the man kneeled down and kowtowed to Yu Qi.
"Miss, thank you for your help. And I am sorry for my behaviour earlier." The man admitted his mistake and apologised to Yu Qi.
"No need to apologise. It is my job as a doctor." Yu Qi said.
"Oh... She is a doctor... No wonder."
"Look at the equipment that she brought. It seems she is prepared."
The ambulance and rescue team arrived at the same time. The rescue team was surprised when they heard what happened and who saved the people from the mudslide. The leader of the rescue team asked the people if they were imagining things.
However, the rescue team was also speechless when one of them showed the video that he recorded when the wolf and branches came and saved the people from the mudslide. This was something that they could not explain scientifically. Why would a wolf and branches come and save people? No one had the answer.
The paramedics took over the old woman's body. The paramedics praised the person who performed the tracheostomy procedure. They asked who was the one to perform the procedure. The people pointed their fingers at Yu Qi. The paramedics were surprised to see Yu Qi.
"Doctor Yu Qi? You are here? You are the one who performs it?" The paramedics asked.
Yu Qi nodded.
"No wonder. We will transport the patient immediately." The paramedics nodded and left the place.
The two people who were also trapped earlier are currently being brought to the hospital for further checkups. The family thanked Yu Qi and Long Hui several times.
The rescue team did not leave the place and continued their job there. Yu Qi and Long Hui returned to their car. Aoi and Xiaohua were already there, waiting for Yu Qi and Long Hui to come back.
Aoi had already changed his form to a normal dog. While Xiaohua was still in her plant form. After they rode the car, only then, Xiaohua change into her human form.
"Master..." Xiaohua hugged her master. "I felt like becoming a hero."
"Both of you, thank you for your hard work." Yu Qi smiled while patting both of them.
"We are happy to help you, Master," Xiaohua said.
"We can not return to FINN City tonight. The road is still blocked." Long Hui said.
"Yeah. There is another road. But it is too far from here. Let's return to Shixiang City and spend a night there. We can return to FINN City tomorrow morning." Yu Qi said.
So, they made the decision to return to Shixiang City. They arrived back at Shixiang City around 10 p.m. After searching for a hotel on the internet, they found one. They went to the hotel. The hotel looked decent.
Long Hui handled the check-in process. They went up to the hotel room. They took a shower and changed their clothes.
Then, she opened the window. From her window, Yu Qi saw that there was a food stall not far from the hotel. Many people were there. The smell was also good.
"Brother Hui, let's go there." Yu Qi showed it to Long Hui.
"Don't you feel tired?" Long Hui asked.
"No. Let's go." Yu Qi pulled Long Hui's hand.
Long Hui had no choice but to follow his beloved Qi Qi. The stall was lively. Yu Qi spotted an empty table and sat there. A girl came over and asked Yu Qi and Long Hui what to eat.
"What is the special here?" Yu Qi asked.
"Our speciality here is Char Kway Teow and Honey chicken." The girl said proudly.
"What do you want to eat?" Yu Qi asked Long Hui.
