Angelica finally lowered her book and looked at the young man who had just yelled out. Her eyes were ice cold as she raised her hand. She opened her mouth and slowly spoke: "My family has a tradition, you see… Those who deserve a life worse than death will be burned in the flames of the eternal cycle of death and revival. I am not as good as my Mama, but I can still try…."
Jill, Samie, and Ulia all watched as Angelica made a reaching motion with her hand. The young man who yelled out suddenly stopped moving and let out a horrific scream as his soul was torn from his body. The soul then floated over to Angelica's hand where a flame suddenly lit up engulfing the soul and causing it to scream out in pain. Angelica then wrapped it into a crystal void and put it in her lap before taking a ribbon out of her space and tying a neat bow around the crystal void and then storing it away. She planned to give it to her Mama the next time she saw her. The body that once housed the soul dropped to the ground just like the other one.
Everyone stood motionless as they watched the scene. Jill, Samie, and Ulia were shivering in fear. Their new roommate was very scary! One of the last two young men hurried out of the room, not daring to say a word, and ran to Instructor Ivy's room and knocked on the door. Instructor Ivy, who had been trying to sleep all night but kept getting bothered by the students, opened the door and stared at the young man coldly. "What the hell is a boy doing here in the girls' dorms!?"
"Instructor Ivy! The girl… Killed two…." The young man was unable to spit all his words out until he finally calmed down and finally explained what had happened. From start to end he spoke truthfully since he also did not agree with the way things were being dealt with, but he did not think it deserved death.
But to his surprise when Instructor Ivy heard everything she only snorted and said: "Let this be a lesson to you. Do not sneak into the girls' dorm, or you might end up dead! Now leave before I decide to kill you myself!"
Instructor Ivy slammed the door and stood there with a smile on her face. "Humph! Don't mess with Kana's family no matter how many they kill, they can do as they please." She knew from speaking to the girls that they were all kind, so unless things like this happened, they would not do anything to anyone.
As for the young man, he stared at the closed door pale faced, unsure of what to do. Two of his friends had died tonight, and no one was willing to do anything about it. Thinking for a moment, he decided to try his luck at the Academy Master's office. With this thought in mind, he rushed off. He had completely forgotten his other friend he had left in the room. This young man was ready to wet himself as he looked at Samie for help.
"Just go! Why are you still here? Do you want to end up like the other two!?" Samie yelled out. She wondered just how dumb this boy was to still be standing there.
Once the boy left, Angelica turned to her three roommates, who looked to be unsure about what to do with the bodies. "You girls do not need to be scared of me. I will only harm those who wish to harm me. One tried to touch me, while the other called me a bitch. These things deserve death, especially when I am reading. But… if one of you girls were to tap me or something, I would not harm you as long as you do not have any bad intentions toward me. I do wish to be friends with you all… It's just that I am a bit weird and am an avid reader who will get lost in anything I read. Knowledge is power."
"Ah…. right…. Ummm… we just wanted to throw you a welcome party and…." Samie began to tear up. Angelica smiled and put her book down, and got up. At first, Samie flinched, but when Angelica hugged her and patted her head gently, she realized that Angelica was indeed not a bad person. She was just quick to react to those who wish to do her harm.
"Thank you for the thought. Tomorrow, we can have a small party here. Just us girls, what do you think?" Angelica asked. She did wish to get along with her roommates, after all.
"Okay!" Jill nodded and smiled. She could care less about the deaths of the two young men. They were rude, after all. She was just happy that Angelica was not as scary as they thought.
"Then let's do that. For now, please get rid of those…. Just toss them out the window. I am sure someone will handle them in the morning." Angelica yawned and patted Samie and Jill on the head before looking at Ulia, who was staring intently at her. Angelica chuckled and reached up and patted her head as well. Ulia smiled but still did not say anything.
"I am going to finish this book. If you need to shut the lights out, go ahead. I can see perfectly fine in the dark." As someone who dived deep into ruins, she would sometimes need to see in the dark in order to not make certain monsters aware of her presence. This allowed her to create a magic that allowed perfect sight in the dark.
Not long later, two bodies were tossed out the dorm room window. They flew down past the window below them, causing the girl whose bed was right next to the window to stick her head out and scream. "Dead! They are dead!"
Her cries fell on deaf ears. Even as morning came and the girls came out of their dorms to head to class, the two bodies lay there on the ground until Instructor Ivy got up around noon time. And she only set them on fire and let them burn to ash.
