"Elders, do not stop me. I must break out my new wife!" The young master of the Dollen family slammed down his pickaxe without caring for their warnings. A loud clanging sound was heard, followed by a scream. "Ahhh!" The young master of the Dollen family's hands shook from the vibration, causing him to lose his balance and fall off the crystal void.
"Young Master!" One of the elders cried out, but the other elder stopped him. "We are not here for him. The Grand Ancestor told us to bring the crystal back!"
"Right." The elder nodded and quickly walked over to the crystal void. They both lifted it and began to fly away when the young master of the Dollen family suddenly yelled out. "Stop! What are you doing!? How dare you steal my bride!" He jumped up from the ground with his nose bleeding and flew in front of the elders, blocking their path. "Put it back!"
"Young Master! Stop now! This is the Grand Ancestor's order! If you dare get in our way you will be stripped of your title as the heir of the family and kicked out for going against the Ancestor!" The elder yelled back, causing the young master of the Dollen family to flinch, but he seemed bound and determined to take the crystal void back.
"No! Drop it! I do not care if I get kicked out as long as I get a wife as beautiful as this girl. I will save her and make her give birth to many babies and start my own family!" The young master of the Dollen family's voice was firm as he went to take the crystal void back, but how could the elders allow such a thing? Their entire clan was in a mess, and even the ancestors refused to do anything about it.
"Since you refuse to listen then sorry for not being polite!" One of the elders couldn't take it anymore and slapped the back of the young master of the Dollen family's neck, knocking him out. He then tossed him to a young man standing not too far away and yelled out: "Send him back to his room. The grand ancestor will deal with him after!"
With these words the two elders flew off leaving behind a bewildered crowd that had formed. Most of them were youths who could not fight in the battle that had been going on. Why the Dollen family was letting their young run around when hundreds of their people were dying in the other parts of the estate is beyond anyone's understanding. This just goes to show how much they care for their own family's protection.
Kana stood in the meeting room looking at the elder around her with her arms crossed across her chest in deep thought. She did not understand why all the powerful people were here and not helping the fight outside. "Hey, old man, question."
"Yes… Yes?" The grand ancestor was a bit angered by how Kana called him but he swallowed it.
"Why are you all here when there is a war outside? Your people are dying, but all the strong guys are here as if hiding to keep their own lives while the rest of the family, even the young ones, fight to protect the family. Isn't your thought process a bit messed up?" Kana really did not understand this. She looked at the old man in front of her with sharp eyes. She was trying to decide if she should just kill these old guys so the young can stop fighting and put down their weapons so they could live to see another day instead.
"This… We were having a strategy meeting when you came." The grand ancestor replied. He felt this woman in front of him was nothing but a headache. Already asking the questions everyone wanted to ask but dared not to.
"You need so many elders here to make a strategy? Are you all dumb?" Kana asked in all seriousness. "Not to mention, you did not even have your people stop fighting when I showed up and agreed to wait for my daughter. You are just letting them become lambs to the slaughter. This really makes no sense to me. How can you allow such a thing to happen?"
"I…. We….." The grand ancestor had no way of answering such a question! He looked at Kana and wished she would just take her daughter and leave. "Ahem…. Tell everyone to retreat back to the inner part of the estate and stay there until further notice!"
"Yes!" One of the elders yelled out before flying out of the room. Kana snorted and continued to stand there. She wondered if these idiots realized her family would still destroy his estate because she was not going to tell them to stop any time soon. Not that she would even if she could. Which she certainly could, but she needed to vent her anger still.
Five minutes passed when two elders returned with a crystal void in their hands. They carefully placed it down in front of Kana, who snorted and placed her hand on it. She was about to release the crystal void when she saw a scratch mark on the top of it, along with footprints. "Who did this!? Who dares to try to harm my daughter!? Bring them here now!"
The two elders wanted to faint. Their stupid young master really was helping them dig their Dollen family's grave! "This…."
"Just do it! Go bring whoever did this here!" The grand ancestor didn't care who did it. He just wanted to end all of this now!
Outside in the front of the estate, Mei Ling watched as the people who were fighting her teddy bears began to retreat and frowned. "I guess it is ending?"
"Mei, never let the enemy fool you. They may be retreating. This is probably just a hoax. You should order your army to destroy all the buildings until we find Big Sister Rain!"
