Rebirth: The Fake Heiress Stuns The World!
Chapter 55 - Lin Yun Has Changed
Chapter 55: Lin Yun Has Changed
“But are you investigating her whereabouts to get rid of her?” Luna asked curiously.
“I don’t have the time! If it’s a handsome man, I might be more interested!” Lin Yun quickly replied.
“Eh? Handsome? You… Could it be…” Luna revealed a surprised expression.
Lin Yun didn’t answer. She only sent a smiling emoji and went offline.
Luna stared blankly at Lin Yun’s profile picture. “Could this guy be… a woman?”
“How is that possible! From the way he acts, he’s a cold-blooded man with no feelings!”
“Ah! So scary, so scary!”
Luna couldn’t help but tremble. Then, she slapped her thigh and began to edit the program to track Ling Na’s communication.
Lin Yun closed the computer and sat on the sofa to study the research materials in her hands.
The research team would hold another meeting in two days. This time, Lin Yun was the one who brought up the topic, so they had to make special preparations.
Lin Yun worked until late at night before stretching and preparing to go to bed.
…
The next morning, at dawn, someone knocked on the door.
Lin Yun frowned and looked at the door. “What is it?”
The person outside the room pushed open the door and looked at Lin Yun, who was still lying on the bed. “Miss Xiao Yun, we agreed to go to the hospital for a follow-up today!”
Lin Yun frowned at the person who came. “Where’s Aunt Xu?”
Lin Yun was no stranger to this person. She was an old servant of the Lin family and was called Aunt Ning.
Aunt Ning and Aunt Xu entered the Lin family at about the same time as Lin Yun.
However, Aunt Ning did not take care of Lin Yun like Aunt Xu. Instead, after Lin Yu returned home, she treated Lin Yun like an outsider like everyone else.
In her previous life, Lin Yun had been bullied by these servants.
Lin Yun knew that her status in the Lin family was special, so she did not think of fighting for herself.
However, everything was different now!
Lin Yun would not let these scumbags have the chance to put her down again!
Aunt Ning revealed a helpless smile. “Aunt Xu was sent by Madam to Old Master’s house to help take care of the courtyard.”
“So Madam asked me to accompany Miss Xiaoyun to the hospital today.”
Lin Yun nodded and thought of why Wang Lan would do this.
It turned out that Wang Lan was angry about Lin Yun yesterday, so she got these servants to cause trouble for her.
It was just that poor Aunt Xu had to go all the way to Old Master Wang’s place to be ordered around!
Seeing that Aunt Ning had no intention of going out, Lin Yun said, “Get out! I want to change my clothes!”
Aunt Ning was stunned for a moment. She didn’t expect Lin Yun to be so unyielding.
But in the next moment, she obediently walked out.
After all, this was the Lin family. No matter how unpopular Lin Yun was, she was still the adopted daughter of the Lin family.
After Aunt Ning left the room, Lin Yun sat up from the bed.
She checked the time on her alarm clock. It was not yet six.
Lin Yun sneered. She got out of bed and washed up before leaving the room.
When she saw Aunt Ning waiting outside the door, she asked , “Is breakfast ready?”
Aunt Ning hesitated for a moment before saying, “Master, Madam, and… Miss Xiaoyu hasn’t woken up yet, so breakfast hasn’t…”
“You woke me up before breakfast is ready?” Lin Yun raised her eyebrows. “What time is the appointment?”
“Ten!” Aunt Ning replied without hesitation.
“What time is it now?” Lin Yun asked again.
“Six… six-thirty!” Aunt Ning lowered her head slightly, her hands already twisted together.
Lin Yun didn’t force him anymore and only said, “Alright! Then you still have time to prepare breakfast!”
After saying that, Lin Yun walked towards the dining room.
Aunt Ning secretly heaved a sigh of relief. She actually felt an unprecedented pressure!
After all, Lin Yun had never interrogated the servants like this in the past.
She had always treated everyone kindly. Even when the servants made mistakes, she had never scolded them!
No wonder Miss Xiaoyu had warned them repeatedly that Lin Yun had changed!
Aunt Ning couldn’t help but sigh and quickly walk towards the kitchen. She didn’t want Lin Yun’s questioning aura to suppress her again!
Lin Yun sat quietly at the dining table and looked at the unread message on her phone.
There were two or three feedback messages from the research team members, and one message was from Luna.
“The communication content has been bound. Check it at any time!” Luna said simply, and Lin Yun smiled.
