Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class
Chapter 455 - 455: Comprehensive Changes, Update? In the second layer, the Regalon progressed secretly and swiftly, pouring the entirety of their resources and all possible retrievable benefits.
None of them were going to be left behind. After getting intel from Lily about how everything worked in the third layer, Almond decided to turn all loyal Earthlings who hadn’t broken the law into Regalons.
The number of law-breakers was extremely low thanks to the current state of Earth. It was a mix of democracy and dictatorship.
There were strict laws, strict rules, and an unforgiving punishment system.
Since everyone was going to ascend, Almond made considerable changes in the lives of all people, creating new activities, increasing work, and reducing the time wasted on other stuff.
The first thing he did was to create and plant a Regalon seed into every single person, no matter how young or old.
All those above sixteen years old evolved into Regalons.
All kids above ten and under sixteen were required to have daily training sessions of combat for 6 hours instead of the previous 4 hours.
All those above sixteen years old who became Regalons must go to the Starry Horizon Academy as well as go on House Regalon-owned wild planets for adventures, accompanied by the Eternal Slaves, creatures having the power of Mythical-rank and above, who were previously enemies of House Regalon, resulting in their flesh and blood becoming eternal slaves of House Regalon.
Those wild planets were fully surveilled, so committing crimes there wasn’t possible either.
Most importantly, no one was thinking of breaking the law because of the racial changes birthed with Regalon’s bloodline.
Almond had doubts before, but after reports from Astra, he found that those who became Regalons had a significant boost in how they put effort and change in their mindset.
It was like an improvement in psychology brought by genetic changes.
Lily had told him Chiefs and God Councils of the Deity Familias could put rules and every member couldn’t break them, which was basically an ultra-high version of genetic-control use.
Fortunately, the understanding was high, and even stupid people became better after becoming Regalon.
The flaw of humanity hadn’t been completely erased even after Grimworld’s Tutorial descended. High intelligence that tried to understand everything, yet obeyed the seven sins for progression and selfishness….this was the doom of Almond’s first world.
Humans may have survived thousands of years, but that was all on a single planet. In the world outside amidst the the grand threats, internal conflict was a fool’s errand that would only invite doom to the entire race.
And he absolutely didn’t want something like that to happen again where the idiots escaped and died somewhere in space, probably the Hollowstar’s people got them, while the billions just died alongside the planet for failing the tutorial.
Hence, All Regalons had two distinct traits. Unity and a sense of ambition to make the House Regalon rise.
The initial Regalons were already united and were ambitious because of Almond and Lily, so it wasn’t clear at that time.
But this trait revealed itself when the progress and development of hundreds of thousands who became Regalons had a dramatic shift and boost.
With the significant increase in the number of Regalons, the overall progress was off the charts.
And since Almond knew they wouldn’t be taking anything with them when ascending, not even the planet, there was no need to hold back or waste time on useless developments.
The main goal was to make everyone as strong as possible by using all resources and benefits that were available here before ascending.
Because only Regalons would be able to ascend alongside Almond. However Almond did plan to store some things into his Spirit Realm after turning them into metaphysical data, so he could revert them back in the third layer.
For now, Almond knew he would be taking Astral AI like that. Buildings and other stuff could be built there easily with Krala and Neo’s powers. They were ultimate architects and builders, so he didn’t need to store any buildings.
However, there was a need to store the facilities that made people strong.
Big D wanted Almond to store the Vitalis Crucible Tower, Devil’s Playground, and other useful facilities for people to get strong in the third layer.
After all, there would still be many people who were not Immortal Emperors yet and would require this type of progress to get strong. Moreover, new life birthing there wouldn’t start at God-rank lifeform. For that, the Deity Familia must upgrade the Geneline further.
Still, it was significantly easier for Mortals to get strong fast in the third layer due to its fundamental structure, and Grimworld Shops sold resources in exchange for God Essence.
After he had learned all of the things about the third layer from Lily, especially the part where people could be produced by using God’s Essence, Almond figured the third layer was the main focus of the Grimworld Tree, and the rest was just to make things running and get souls regularly.
Because he felt that all those people who died and their souls were absorbed by the Grimworld Tree were simply used for people of the third layer to summon using God Essence, with no past memories, and modification done to their fundamentals by the Grimworld Tree.
What Grimworld Tree wanted were souls that had become the pinnacle of power and refined to perfection with powers cultivated to the peak. It wanted to devour them, not the random useless weak souls, so it just recycled them.
But one thing was nagging Almond and he made a theory.
Grimworld Tree was utterly powerful. It and its master could destroy this world of 9999 cosmoses, but instead, it modified this world to nurture souls.
From this, Almond made one thing clear. Grimworld Tree couldn’t produce souls that could gradually become powerful and invoke potential.
These souls were birthed by this world of 9999 cosmoses.
Grimworld Tree was using this world after influencing its foundation, tweaking it, and creating this grand system.
From human science, Almond knew that energy is not destroyed in a closed system, but just transforms into another state.
Souls were also energy, after all, and sentience was the experience of life, that potential that could allow for the souls to gather and utilize more energy to a higher level by comprehending elements, creating conceptual powers and actualizing them, turning thoughts into actions—Intents, Genelines, and so on.
Ultimately, the Grimworld Tree wanted these souls to struggle, war, and progress in this grand system it created to make them reach the peak refining and strongest potential energy in core parameters to have the once-in-a-while delicious meal so it could progress.
…
And so, six months passed by since Almond slaughtered the Supreme Emperors of the Big Ten.
Everyone was working.
The Big Ten was preparing bodies for 200 Supreme Emperors to descend. The resources required for the bodies of 200 Supreme Emperors were massive and weren’t work of days but months.
Lily was progressing herself and the deity familia in the third layer, climbing the floors gradually while winning challenges, and events, and getting stronger.
Meanwhile, Almond was making all Regalons powerful, including himself, so that he and Lily could simultaneously launch attacks.
Lily would attack the Myriad Stars Alliance while Almond and Big D’s forces would destroy the Big Ten here.
Just that, nobody knew something from Grimworld Tree would trigger soon.
In the depths of this three-layered Grimworld, in a realm seen by no one, a mini tree with eyes all over it glimmered.
‘A new update from Master? It has been a long while since the last one.’
