Chapter 3055: It’s About Forging an Unyielding Will

At first, Ning Shu thought this job would be relatively easy.

But on her first day, she encountered kids barely taller than her waist—both boys and girls.

They were dressed in Taekwondo uniforms, chattering noisily, and running around the gym, chasing each other.

Their movements were sloppy and uncoordinated, showing zero seriousness. They ignored Ning Shu no matter what she said.

Repeating herself over and over made no difference. The chaos was unbearable.

Frustrated, Ning Shu stomped her foot hard on the ground and yelled, “Quiet!”

The noise stopped, and all the kids stared at her in stunned silence.

“No matter what you do, perseverance and discipline are key. Learning Taekwondo isn’t just about building a strong and healthy body; it’s about forging an unyielding will. Now, who dares to keep messing around?”

With that, Ning Shu chopped a thick board in half with her bare hand.

Even the gym owner was startled by her, rushing over and saying, “Don’t be too harsh. If the parents complain, my gym won’t survive.”

Ning Shu: …

“Waaaah…” One little girl suddenly burst into tears.

Her crying triggered a chain reaction, and soon, all the kids were wailing. “Mama, she’s so scary!”

Ning Shu: …

She suddenly felt that she wasn’t cut out for this job and needed to find another one.

These parents were probably wealthy and spoiled their children, sending them here to learn Taekwondo just for fun.

She couldn’t even be strict even though learning martial arts was for the sake of strengthening both one’s body and mind.

Ning Shu stomped her foot again. Since things had already gone south, she decided to go all in. “Why are you crying? Stretch your legs, now!”

Her yelling scared a few kids into hiccupping as they sniffled and began stretching their legs.

Ning Shu rolled her eyes.

After class, the parents came to pick up their children. Seeing their teary-eyed kids, they immediately confronted Ning Shu and demanded she apologize.

Ning Shu: Unbothered…

She wasn’t a kindergarten teacher and didn’t need to be gentle and caring with these kids.

The gym owner apologized to the parents on Ning Shu’s behalf, which somewhat placated them before they left, still dissatisfied.

The owner sighed. Ning Shu asked, “So, should I come back tomorrow?”

The owner nodded. “Of course.”

Ning Shu was surprised. She thought she had done terribly, yet they still wanted her back.

Owner, you’re such a kind person.

“Tomorrow’s the weekend, so there will be a lot of white-collar women coming in. You should teach them self-defense techniques,” the owner said.

“As for the kids, don’t be too strict with them. It’s pointless and just causes trouble, as you’ve seen from their parents’ reactions. Just teach them a few flashy moves and that’ll be good enough.”

Ning Shu: …opportunist.

But she understood. These kids came here to learn Taekwondo but didn’t want to endure any hardship.

“Leave the kids to me,” the owner said.

Ning Shu nodded. “Thank you. I’ll do my best.”

The next day, Ning Shu taught white-collar women and older kids. It was a much better experience— at the very least they understood what she said.

Furthermore, the white-collar women were paying to learn, so they took it seriously and wanted to get their money’s worth.
