Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 305 - Worth Of A Hardworking Architect

Shane was excited about the opportunity he and his Astral Artisans had obtained, and he immediately messaged Maya that she should focus on creating the design of a three-layer shelter with as many defensive measurements as possible.

The radiant mountain ring dimension was extremely dangerous and Shane was sure that the government wanted to turn the RadiantRing shelter into a huge fortress.

When Maya heard this she was astonished and felt a huge pressure weighing her down.

She felt that it was extremely important for the Astral Artisans to receive the opportunity to build the RadiantRing shelter because it would increase their reputation and fame within their own race.

Consequently, it would allow them to hire even more Artisans and the funds they would obtain by building a three-layer shelter would be more than enough to awaken the great discounted mana awakening of his Hidden Paradise!

Shane felt the same, and it was obvious for Maya to be more than a little tense.

As such, he told her to give her best and that it wouldn't mean she was bad if her design were to be rejected.

In the end, the government would prefer to construct the shelter with their own artisans either way. Thus, Shane thought that the chances to receive permission to build the entire shelter were minuscule from the beginning.

Nevertheless, Shane was happy about the opportunity, and it was only when he read through the other system notification he had received that his thought averted from the RadiantRing shelter to the things written in front of him.

[[Taming|Uncommon|] Upgrade-Mission |★★| → Increase all tamed beast's loyalty to 80%[2/2] accomplished! Reward:[Shared mind] Allows the host to share his mind with his tamed beasts!

Remark: This skill can be activated at will!

Re-Remark: Sharing one's mind with wild beasts is dangerous. Control instead of being controlled!]

[[Upgrade-Mission] |Uncommon ★★★|<Unlocked> →Let one of your tamed beast's race against a 'lightning gazelle' (Three tries per tamed beast)

[Go to the tracking field?] [Y/N?]]

The new skill [Shared mind] his Innate Skill 'Taming' had received seemed to be great while fighting against other opponents.

He would be able to understand his tamed beasts' thoughts and they would understand everything that was on his mind. As such, it was a great asset.

However, he was also able to understand its dangers because he had already felt how overwhelmingly strong his tamed beasts' wild instincts as predators were!

Even with the common connection, he had established with his tamed beasts, it was already quite strong. What kind of thoughts would he have if he were to fight for several hours after activating the [Shared mind] ability?

This would have been a great ability to test at the end of the Overlord beast tide, but the tide had already passed and Shane was happy about that.

He wouldn't have been able to fight any longer.

When Umbra reached the proximity of the destroyed RadiantRing shelter, everyone collecting the corpses of friends and foes tensed up.

It was only when they saw that one of their kind was lying on top of the huge snake, that they sighed in relief.

Though they were still a little apprehensive of the gigantic snake, and Shane noticed this.

As such, he moved his sore body to get up from Umbra.

Jumping on the ground, he noticed just how shaky his legs were. He swayed a little before regaining his balance and asked Umbra and Cosmo to enter the Hidden Paradise.

Then, he manifested a portal to the Hidden Paradise and both of his tamed beasts vanished before Shane continued to approach the RadiantRing shelter.

When he had accomplished the Innate Skill mission, Shane had taken a glance at Cosmo's loyalty that had reached [81%].

This was already great, and Shane hoped that it wouldn't take too long before Cosmo would attain a loyalty of [100%].

Nevertheless, this wouldn't fulfill the Hidden-Occupation's requirement.

As such, Shane began to wonder as to when he would be able to tame a third beast as required by the Hidden occupation's threshold.

'Maybe, I'll receive an extra slot by reaching a higher rank with my Innate Skill? It could also involve reaching a higher mana purity… Like 80% or even higher?'

Shane was interested in figuring out the truth, but he knew that this would take some time.

As such he could only sigh, and he was on the verge of thinking about what kind of third tamed beast he wanted to have when Shane sternly reminded himself that it would be a futile effort right now.

It was more important to rest for the next few days while inquiring more information about their opponents.

Not only was this important to solve the Hidden-Universal mission, but even more so because his Astral Artisans might rebuild the shelter.

Shane didn't want anything to happen to them during the several months his Artisan group would require in order to rebuild and enhance the shelter with several walls, dozens of Greater Astral towers, and so on!

'First things first! Let's figure out more information about the Destar race! Maybe the races that had officially announced an alliance with them are my targets?'

There were many things he had to pay attention to, however, before he could do so, Shane decided to enter Masua in order to increase the stored amount of mana within the Hidden Paradise once again.

He had used up quite a bit and it was better to have stored more mana than too little!

**

Several days later Shane's Astral Artisans received the permission to build the entire RadiantRing shelter, which astonished him quite a lot.

'They accepted the Astral Artisans unconditionally?'

When he thought about the message Aunt Kia and Uncle Lars had sent him after Maya had finished the shelter design by spending three sleepless nights and four entire days on creating it, Shane couldn't help but smile proudly.

Maya had worked extremely hard and even the government thought that it was good!

As such, they'd accepted Shane's conditions too! Not only would they receive all materials, but their income would also be 20% higher than what the system would evaluate the shelter to be worthy of!

This could be seen as a gamble, but Shane was confident in his Astral Artisans' capabilities.

They had constructed several Greater Astral towers that were evaluated by the system and deemed extremely sturdy and great, strategically usable assets worth 400,000 gold coins each!

Those 400,000 coins were just the average of all Greater Astral towers his Artisans had constructed, and if they were to be fully focused on their creation, the system wouldn't deem even a single tower's worth to be less than 500,000 coins.

With that in mind, it was extremely difficult to suppress his excitement as Shane mumbled.

"The first shelter wall already has four towers, the second wall has around 12 and the third on the outskirts is the first defensive line that has to be protected the most! We will earn a fortune solely from building the Greater Astral towers!!"

Yet, Shane couldn't be entirely happy because the intel he had acquired about the Destar race was neither extremely beneficial nor entirely useless to know.

There was nothing special on their PrimWeb forum, but there was something else that piqued his interest.

Even if it had only been a small forum thread, Shane had found it after searching for the smallest hints to find out more about his opponents.

As such, the thread he was reading through right now was the best option he had!

[Dozen destroyed shelters found! Are beasts finally retaliating or is there more than what meets the eye??]
