Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 302 - Final Battle

When Shane heard that the Boreas mercenaries were coming, he couldn't help but be confused.

'Where is mankind's elite force when you need them? Are Aisha and Miriam the only human prodigies of the Basic-Dimension that dare to support the RadiantRing shelter against four Overlords??'

This felt wrong, but Shane also knew that there was the high possibility that the other prodigies were either on a mission deep within a different dimension or simply doing something important which led them to deactivate the system notifications!

As such, Shane's mind remained calm due to his [Hunter's mind] passive skill, while he tried to analyze the current situation.

At the same time, they were already rushing to the southern walls where the combined forces of two beast tides with several million beasts was currently wreaking havoc.

The moment the entire battlefield came into his view, Shane couldn't help but gulp nervously.

There were several tens of thousand elemental attacks flying through the air, while the sounds of beasts and defenders clashing with each other resounded in the surrounding area.

The battlefield was filled with blood, organs, and dead corpses.

Other than that, the painful roars and shrill cries of dying people occasionally pierced through the air and tensed the atmosphere in the entire battlefield.

Meanwhile, Shane's Sword of Blood, Mydra was greedily devouring the bloody aura permeating the air.

Taking a deep breath, he searched for the best position to initiate their attack. This took less than two minutes and he ordered Cosmo to manifest a spatial portal at the exact location he pointed out to.

After that, he and the others jumped through the spatial portal once Umbra, who was clearing a path for him, had emerged through the spatial portal first!

Upon activating the [Mana Membrane(lesser)] skill while simultaneously exerting both the Light step and Slaughterer's path technique in addition to fully unleashing his bloodlust killing intent that enveloped his whole body, Shane's strength skyrocketed.

He restricted himself from using lots of mana which he had stored within the Hidden Paradise. But he released its full absorption rate while transferring a small amount of mana to his mana pool in order to circulate it through his body.

It was only a small amount and nothing in comparison to what he had utilized before.

As such, Shane was able to move unhindered without feeling any pain which was advantageous.

'So my body can endure everything else as long as I don't circulate too much mana in my body in addition to using every other means to increase my strength?' Shane wondered, glad to have figured out how to utilize all of his skills at once!

However, there was no time for Shane to celebrate this achievement. Instead, he had to look after the beasts around him.

They were already fiercely attacking Umbra and himself without a single thought of holding back.

Compared to the first beast tide Shane had fought today, the current situation seemed to be more desperate, with both sides wanting to end the battle as quickly as possible.

Shane didn't think that there was a reason for the beasts within the tide to be as desperate as the defenders who tried to protect the shelter and Dimension Portal.

But, when he looked at it, this was exactly the case, which reaffirmed Shane's assumption that there was something else he had yet to figure out!

Nevertheless, more important for now was to kill as many beasts as possible.

The number of defenders was too small in comparison to the number of beasts that were still alive, and a short glance at the shelter was enough for Shane to determine that the situation was barely under control there.

That was mainly due to the fact that reinforcement was sent to the RadiantRing shelter once someone was free to go.

The military was already short of sufficient guards and military units, and now the RadiantRing shelter faced a crisis that was extremely bad.

If the shelter had not been placed in an important dimension, the government would have ordered everyone to retreat and leave the shelter before severing the radiant mountain ring dimension's connection with Igra!

Though, the dimension was too valuable for mankind to give up because of the enormous number of elemental crystal caves that were scattered through the entire mountain ring.

Unfortunately, mankind had yet to reap benefits from the radiant mountain ring dimension, and in Shane's opinion, they were reluctant to accept that their investment might be wasted if they were to retreat now.

Shane acknowledged that the RadiantRing shelter was valuable to mankind, but right from the construction up until today, multiple incidents had happened, and it hadn't even been a year since the shelter had been established!!

From a rational perspective, the Radiant mountain ring dimension was extremely valuable, but the threats the RadiantRing shelter had to encounter until today were too high.

The ratio of the benefits to that of the dangers was difficult to figure out and Shane would have rather abandoned the Radiant mountain ring dimension and the newly built shelter.

In the end, the dangers were unpredictable and mankind had yet to reach the standards of common basic races, whose heritage was more than 1000 years at the bare minimum.

Shaking his head, Shane diverted his attention from the thoughts of abandoning the shelter and dimension to surviving the beast tide without losing a single member of his Starlight guild.

This was important and Shane was sure that the experience everyone would gain today was invaluable.

It was possible that some of his people would start fearing battles and bloodshed, but after he spent some time with them, Shane was sure that this wouldn't be the case!

As such, he was able to remain calm and composed while lashing out with Mydra.

Shane was not even sure how many beasts he had killed until now but never had he felt like he was doing today.

Deep within the pits of his heart, Shane felt uncomfortable, but the beast tide and the fact that their chances to survive were low reenergized him!

A bright smile had already emerged on his face and Shane did not even notice that his mind had been influenced by the wild instincts of a predator!

Both of his tamed beasts were connected to Shane, yet, he had not even once noticed that their instincts were able to overwhelm him.

It was only now when he was in a huge battle with millions of beasts that Shane began to notice what it truly meant to have a connection with wild beasts!

They might seem to be tame, but that was only the case as long as Shane was unscathed and able to control them.

If strangers were to release hostility or even the desire to kill towards Shane, his beasts would tear apart everyone obstructing their path to obliterate Shane's opponents!

Time passed slowly and Shane noticed that his proficiency with both the [Light steps] movement technique and the [Slaughterer's Path] martial art technique increased by a large margin.

This increased his combat prowess once again and the Elite stage beasts in front of him were obliterated like flies.

The final battle had started and Shane barely noticed the Four Element eagle soaring into the sky before it abandoned the shelter.

However, Shane's relief was short-lived because instead of retreating, it landed next to the injured Bloodlust Thunder wolf and Golden Centipede King, reuniting with them once again.

The three Overlords seemed to join their forces and Shane could only frown upon seeing this.
