Kent smiled and then decided to go deeper into the Flame Valley’s core region. The danger started to show as he moved deeper.

If anyone were to find out that Kent was roaming freely in the core region of the Flame Valley, they would probably claw their faces raw, peeling every layer of skin off in utter disbelief.

Such recklessness was unheard of—no one dared tread that scorching inferno without overwhelming strength or a death wish.

The sheer shock that would riddle them would be too much for their minds to comprehend, shattering their sense of reality and making their hearts pound with terror.

They would probably end up fearing Kent.

Why that?

Because before anyone dared traverse the scorching expanse of land, they had to come in teams. Teams of able and capable warriors dared to venture into the core region of the Flame Valley, not a single human.

But even with a team, not all managed to come back alive. That is how harrowing the core region of the Flame Valley is, and because of that, if they found out Kent was alone and freely walking through the domain of fire, they would probably picture him as a devil.

The heat alone is something that many had to invest millions of spirit stones in flame resistance pills before they dared enter the scorching depths of the Flame Valley.

However, the Chaos Dragon was moving even deeper into the core region, which, if he managed to cross, would put him inside the inner area on the other side and eventually find himself in the outer section, where he could continue his journey.

The next beast Kent faced was a “Burning Mantis.” It was a rather beautiful creature that would have been left alone to wander the vast scorched valley, but it attacked first, so Kent killed it.

He didn’t gain a flame spirit from it, but it dropped a core filled with flame energy.

It was the first time Kent came across a beast dropping a core, so he quickly absorbed it. Right then, he felt the change.

With this new resolve, Kent started moving deeper into the core region, looking for the next beast to kill and the next flame spirit to devour…

However, even after moving for several hours and killing dozens of Flame Beasts, he never acquired a single flame spirit. However, he gained two more cores, which provided a boost to his fire resistance.

Not that he needed to resist anything…

Of course, aside from gaining two more cores, he also discovered that his resistance to attacks from flame skills had improved slightly.

Aside from resisting harmful attacks, he essentially allowed the weaker ones to land on him, gradually building his resistance.

Kent had to distance himself three kilometers before the Void Cleave was able to penetrate the body of the beast. It was one tough bastard that wouldn’t just die.

Of course, Kent didn’t use too much force, as he was learning to wield his skills with minimal effort. He wanted to gain a much deeper understanding of them, since, aside from attaining seven-sword enlightenment, he must also lay the foundation for the three-sword moves.

So while using techniques like the “Nine Calamities Sword Strike” could have killed any of the beasts he faced easily, he focused more on combat experience and understanding, which in the long run will come in handy.

After getting the flame spirit, Kent fed it to the Chaos Flame, which became much more powerful; however, it still hadn’t reached the sixth Tier.

But Kent pressed on and eventually came across another beast…

This time it was a “Firemane Lion,” one terrifying beast. But it took Kent a minute to handle it. Then, from there, he began to follow the path that led deeper into the core region.

The Chaos Flame was almost at the Tier 6 stage, so Kent was pushing to at least get there before his time to leave the Valley arrived.

He had spent over a day there already, meaning he had less than two days to get to the Half-Elf Kingdom. He wanted to arrive a day early so he could get accustomed to the place before venturing out.

Eventually, Kent came across another beast, and after defeating it, he fed the spirit flame to his Soul Flame. He finally managed to raise his soul flame to Tier 6…
