The battle after Nethar took his dragon form was quick and decisive. Yi Lai never even had to do anything. She just stood there, keeping her eyes on everything, watching them scream.

It was a chaotic and devastating display that left them all screaming before they succumbed to death. In the end, only Lady Oracle remained alive.

Yi Lai did say she would keep one of them, and so she saved the strongest.

She wasn’t stupid; she knew that if anyone had the means to deliver her master’s message to the Hand, it would be the leader of one of the world’s most dangerous organizations—not anymore—but she held some authority.

To some extent, she does again, and so she knew Lady Oracle would be able to deliver Kent’s message.

“Nicely done, Nethar,” Yi Lai praised her only undead and then turned to the only surviving member of the Oracles… their leader.

“I know you’re probably angry… I mean, when the previous leader was ascending, she probably told you one day you would be joining her and continuing your perverted legacy in the high worlds.

Guess what? She was wrong, and you are proof of that. You watched your entire organization get slaughtered. That means you are a failure…and there is no denying that.

However, don’t worry, I don’t have much energy to waste on trash-talking you, so let’s get down to business, shall we?”

Veera shook her head, hearing Yi Lai’s sassy words. ‘It turns out getting her revenge made her more relatable and a little sassy…’

She turned and looked at the Lady Oracle, smirking. “Are you sure we shouldn’t kill her and wake her up? That would be much more convenient,” Veera asked, causing the poor Oracle to shudder in her bones.

Yi Lai thought about what Veera said for a second, then she smiled. “She is not destined to die today… But the next time we meet, she will die for sure.”

Veera just smirked and turned away. Since nobody else was dying anymore, she lost interest in the rest…

“Listen carefully. The only reason you are alive now is because my master wants someone to deliver his message to the Hand. Naturally, that will be your job now…

Go to them and be sure not to leave out even a single word. Tell them, and I quote, ‘You have three years to open the Gate of the Apocalypse. Failure to meet this deadline will result in severe consequences. Kent Madson sent his greetings, by the way.”

Yi Lai walked closer and stared her daggers in the eye. “No word less, not a word more. And if you want, you can come for revenge… Killing you won’t be too hard… Lady Oracle.”

With that, Yi Lai left with her people. What she had come there to do was over, and now she had to get back to her master.

Since they were connected to the tower, they merely vanished, leaving the Oracle Lady to ponder what to do next.

But pondering on what to do was the least of her worries now. What she had spent years working to build and maintain was destroyed within a couple of minutes.

That was both shocking, devastating, and disgraceful.

She claimed to hold the power that could cause kingdoms to respect her. She claimed she had the power to be known as one of the strongest organizations in the world of Sonox.

She held the power to make sects bow to her. She held the power to make powerhouses shudder before they even thought of going against her.

The kind of power she held was supreme in this world and perhaps every other medium world out there. However, it took only three people to destroy everything she had built.

The shocking part was that these three people were able to destroy everything she had built and developed over several years without even breaking a sweat.

Some things she thought could never be destroyed. Something she thought could rival other powerful organizations was destroyed, leaving her in a state of shock.

Devastating because, while she could fathom losing to the Hand, who are also known as the strongest in the world, she never expected her ending to come crashing down like this.

Then came the disgraceful part, where at the moment she had been reduced to an errand girl. It felt too disgraceful.

She could accept the shock and devastation, but accepting the disgrace was eating at her pride.

This led her to break down. However, the deed had already been done, and after a while, she left. She wanted to deliver the message and then plot her revenge.

The artificial island where the Hand’s headquarters were located wasn’t accessible to just anyone. It is a place much like the Oracle’s headquarters, accessible only to members of the Hand.

However, unlike the Oracles, not everyone in the organization can just walk in. Only the top-ranking members of the Hand get to come there or even know it exists.

Today, someone outside the Hand entered, and this person was the last person the Hand wanted to see.

Instead of attacking her, they chose to hear what she had to say, as she claimed to have a message for them.

Now she was having her audience with the Hand, who were accompanied by the Seven Fangs of the Hand.

“Well, Lady Oracle, what brought you to the Hand?” the Hand asked, looking as beautiful as ever. Though she is in charge of one of the most notorious organizations in the world, one can’t deny her good looks.

Lady Oracle doesn’t pale in the beauty department. However, the Hand is just too gorgeous by all standards.

“Kent Madson has a message for you. And before you ask if I am affiliated with him… the answer is no. However, I just lost my entire organization when he sent his associate, whom I am sure you all know all too well—the Hunter.

He said I should tell you, and I quote, ‘You have three years to open the Gate of the Apocalypse. Failure to meet this deadline will result in severe consequences. Kent Madson sent his greetings, by the way.”

The moment she was done, she stood up and started walking away. But before she left, she turned and gave them one last good look.

“If you have what it takes to kill him, then do it fast… However, leave the Hunter for me… she will die at my hand.”

With that, she left, leaving the Hand and her seven generals in a state of shock and anger…
