Chapter 231: Loaded with Treasures

Chapter 231: Loaded with Treasures

Lady Luck was on Lu Mingshu’s side; after getting the Fairy Gravel, Brother Six sent over the remaining two materials.

Lu Mingshu contacted the tool refining master and sent the materials over. “Miss, when will it be ready?”

“Six months at the latest, three months at the earliest.”

Lu Mingshu furrowed her eyebrows. “I’m in urgent need of it. I need the sword before three months, are you able to get it done faster?”

There was a short pause before the master replied, “I’ll see what I can do.”

After making the deal, they ended the conversation.

Lu Mingshu didn’t exit the Heavenly Wheel immediately. Instead, she started buying a bunch of things.

To convince Lu Mingshu to help, the Bon Voyage Fleet spent a lot on her. Not only did they get her the Fairy Gravel, but also many spiritual medicines.

These spiritual medicines were acquired from the fleet’s hunt. It was rare in Lu Mingshu’s world, but it was even rarer in the other worlds, letting her exchange for a lot of good stuff.

As for the things she got from the Treasure Assembly, they were the real deal.

One item was a carved bone that was broken in half. It was unknown which beast the bone belonged to, but there were weird and mysterious patterns carved on it. In a certain sense, it looked like a talisman. It was just a pity that it was broken in half, so there wasn’t much energy left.

The second item was a broken sword. The blade was nowhere to be found, leaving behind only the hilt.

The last item was a ring covered with patterns. It was dull, so it was hard to tell what it originally looked like.

She spent some time in the Heavenly Wheel to exchange for various items.

As for the three items she got, they gradually showed their true features after she had cleaned them carefully.

Now, the bone carving was back to its creamy white colour, faintly emitting a little bit of power. She copied the patterns on it and passed the bone to Brother Six.

Brother Six was elated to see the patterns. “Little Sister Seven, you got some good stuff here! This should be something left behind by witches during the early days, and it has profound power! Do you want to sell it?”

“Yes. I’ll need to trouble Brother Six for help.”

“No worries, I’ll find you a good buyer. As long as we find the correct person, this could be sold at a high price.” Brother Six was now on cloud nine. As the middleman, the higher the price was, the more he would get too.

After ending the call with Brother Six, Lu Mingshu took out the second item. The sword hilt was solid. Since she couldn’t recognize the material used, she just passed it to the tool refining master.

The tool refining master got back to her quickly. “How did you get this?” She was pleasantly surprised.

Before Lu Mingshu could even reply, the master realized that her words were rude, and she immediately changed her tone. “This must’ve been given by a senior. It’s made out of three materials....”

She talked non-stop about the sword. This tool refining master was generally quiet, but when she spoke about forging, she became another person.

Hearing what she said, Lu Mingshu pondered for a while. “So, can my sword use this hilt?”

“Of course!” The tool refining master sounded eager to try. “This hilt has a peculiar smelting technique. If you don’t mind, may I do some research with it? If we could use it on your sword, it will enhance the quality.”

“Sure, sorry for the trouble.”

The tool refining master went off happily.

Lastly, the ring turned out to be silver after cleaning it. The craftsmanship was simple, but not rough. The material was a rare one that didn’t exist in her world.

Lu Mingshu copied down the patterns and slowly figured them out.

The research took her three days. After she finished, she realized it was a mysterious and powerful rune.

She wore the ring on her finger and activated her mystic force according to the pattern on the ring.

The mystic force was exerted, and mild golden mystic light surrounded the entire room. Lu Mingshu thought of a move, and the sword-energy moved like a rainbow, scattering like mist. Everything within the mystic light was slashed into pieces.

Lu Mingshu couldn’t believe what was happening.

She was aware of her ability. In order to manipulate sword-energy so finely, one needed very precise control. It wasn’t impossible for Lu Mingshu to perform such a move before, but it was extremely difficult. However, she did it just now without much effort.

Silence filled the room for a moment. She reactivated the ring, and it gave off light. A ray of sword-energy scattered the light and moved like a fish in water. Lu Mingshu was able to feel everything within the light with great precision.

The light lasted for an hour before it started to dim.

Lu Mingshu heaved a sigh of relief.

This is indeed a treasure! That light is like a barrier. Anything that enters will be totally under my control, and my sword can move freely like a fish in water!

If I had this before, I would’ve lasted longer during the fight with Wei Chunqiu.

The only con was that her mystic force could only power it for a very short period.

Such a powerful thing would violate the laws of nature if it could be activated for long periods.

In the Heavenly Wheel, Lu Mingshu was focusing on increasing her power, but she was unaware of the disturbance she had caused outside.

...

Ancient Jade Summit, in a snowy cliff cave:

A young lady was sitting in the cave, feeding some red-crowned cranes.

She was fair and sweet. The shirt she was wearing was as white as snow, making her look like an icy beauty. However, she was different from Lu Mingshu because of her outstanding features and politeness. She looked graceful, which dissolved the chillness, giving her a gentle and kind aura like jade.

This was Ling Wuxia. Anyone who met her in person would agree that her name suited her perfectly; perfect like jade.

“Senior Sister, are you even listening to me?” Beside her stood a girl in black clothes who had been talking non-stop for half an hour. She was now stomping because she was angry at the lack of response.

“Why are you so worried?” Ling Wuxia chuckled while looking at the red-crowned cranes eating.

“I’m not worried, I just feel angry for you!” The girl huffed. “After the Qilin Festival, these blind people only talk about Lu Mingshu, Kou Wei, and Wei Chunqiu, saying how interesting their fight against the barbarians was. Some even call it ‘the three elites against the barbarians!’ Pui! Where do they even put Senior Sister at? No matter what, you are the best in the top three sects. Ability-wise, only the two Wei’s are able to fight you. Other than them, who in the Harmonization Realm can? When they both breakthrough to the Spirit Realm, the Harmonization Realm would be all Senior Sister’s! That Lu Mingshu is just plain lucky. How could she be comparable to you when it was her first time?”

“And look how pretentious she is! Senior Sister likes to wear white, so she does it too! Senior Sister does not like to talk, so she does the same too! Everything she does is copied from you, is she not embarrassed? Why doesn’t she look at herself in the mirror? She’s nowhere near you!”

Ling Wuxia facepalmed. “Yi Lan, Nine Jade Palace’s uniform has always been white.” Being situated on a snowy peak, Nine Jade Palace’s clothing had always been white. In Ling Wuxia’s case, Ancient Jade Summit’s uniform was black, but she preferred white clothing.

As for looks... she took a glance at the drawing that Yi Lan brought and shook her head. The girl in the drawing was skinny and looked reclusive, which was very different from herself. Ling Wuxia wore white clothes because she was conscious of her appearance, unlike Lu Mingshu, who was born with the icy-beauty aura.

“Senior Sister!” Yi Lan whined after her Senior Sister’s retort. “I’m going to leave you alone if you keep acting like this!”
