Chapter 1871 Chapter 1863: Contest For Tiny Heaven (4)
Among the various forces of the Utmost Purity Galaxy, the alchemy organizations were clearly defined, with levels ranging from Academies, Institutes, and Towers. Academies were helmed by Earthly Saint Alchemists whose lineages had been appraised as 'genuine' and of 'appropriate standard' by their respective Utmost Purity Halls. Institutes were led by Worldly Saint Alchemists, such as White Sky and Mei Xiaoyang. And finally, Towers were restricted by the Heavenly Saint Alchemists.
The Utmost Purity Galaxy was regarded as the apex of the Alchemic Dao within the Holy Void of Fortune, the four greater galaxies, with very few extraordinary exceptions. They didn't just have seven Heavenly Saint Alchemists, but much more, and had other 'unofficial' Tower-level forces. The 'much more' regarded retired Zeniths, including the Ancient Zenith.
The Great Unity Sage Tower led by the Great Unity Alchemic Saint belonged to the Seven Towers of Heavenly Sages, which represented a hot topic of discussion amongst the galaxy as they all possessed what the galaxy considered 'inferior' alchemical lineages, and dared to use their strength as Supreme Sages to maintain their title as a Tower despite losing every All-Alchemic Clash against the Seven Utmost Towers.
But given that their Mystic-Heaven graded Lineage Products were often inferior to some peak-tier Mystic-World grade alchemical products, it was hard not to see why they were regarded as such.
Moreover, many of those Heavenly Saint Alchemists were Supreme Sages. Unlike the Ancient Zenith, they lacked an Alchemic Soul or had used extraordinary methods to transform their Spirits of Cultivation to more streamlined spirits that can cultivate normally and demonstrate terrifying strength.
Meanwhile, each of the Zeniths was an Alchemic Soul Alchemist in one way or another, and they were incredible. Just from how they could concoct Edict Potions and the Abstruse Spiritforce Pill in such a hostile environment with great success showcased how monstrous each of them was despite their cultivation bases. They were genuinely human-shaped demonic savants of the Alchemic Dao!
Even Wei Wuyin, based on the limited knowledge he had with Enlightened Sage Springfield, had considered that defeating them fairly was outright impossible. If not for his many restrictions, his advantages of the Alchemic Stars of Unparalleled Creation, and their overconfidence, which was justifiably earned, he might have struggled to defeat them going all out with their strongest foundations.
There was a reason they were the foremost authority of the Alchemic Dao across every galaxy within an entire galactic cluster!
The Utmost Purity Galaxy didn't just have twenty or thirty Heavenly Saint Alchemists to their name, and due to many Heavenly Saint Alchemists simultaneously existing as Supreme Sages, they rarely died, and created an incredible number entering the three digits. And while the majority of them had either left to enter the other three greater galaxies of the Holy Void of Fortune or establish their own individual Heavenly Worlds out in the vast Void-Blank Space between galaxies, there were at least three dozen Heavenly Saint Alchemists active.
Out of those active, over two dozen were Supreme Sages. One of them was Suo Haoran. Another was the Elephant-Tigress Sovereign; her earlier experience of saving Heaven-Saint Refining Skies from detonation was a clear sign of her familiarity with handling this sort of backlash.
Out of the nine Dao Enforcers of the Zeniths, three of them were Heavenly Saint Alchemists by decree of the Alchemic Dao, often acting as assistants to their Zeniths, yet they rarely flaunted their status as they were deemed amongst the inferior variety.
Moreover, they knew it too.
It wasn't a point of pride for them.
Especially for the Elephant-Tigress Sovereign—Dongfang Yue, who was unable to consolidate her foundation after so many years of effort, unlike Suo Haoran, who had accomplished full consolidation of his phase.
As for Supreme Sages, they were only higher in number. And out of those existing, more than eighty percent had not consolidated their cultivation at the Microheaven Phase and were in deep secluded cultivation to make little progress. This was a core issue. Without a steady supply of quality products like the Abstruse Spiritforce Pill or their acquisition of a True Soul Cultivation Method, they were often stuck using the most difficult path of consolidation: raw infusion of energy and essence.
This was no different than a Qi Condensation Realm cultivator cultivating by ONLY absorbing essence from the world, and this would be the lowest form of mortal essence, not astral essence. Their cultivation path and realm's growth would be egregiously slow. It was to be expected.
This high degree of Supreme Sage presence was not due to the ease of cultivation, given the absurdly horrific ratio of cultivators to Supreme Sages, or even closer, the number of True Sages or higher were well within the thousands across a greater galaxy. While that might initially seem to suggest a 0.1% chance of ascending, given the massive lifespan difference, where some Supreme Sages with unconsolidated foundations had existed for over a million years, it was more like 0.000001% of every True Sage became a Supreme Sage.
Opportunities to ascend were rare, and higher-grade resources were hoarded by Supreme Sages to push themselves higher due to their greater needs for cultivation. At the very least, countless were desperate to consolidate their foundation, allowing what could be equated to an inactive generator that had to be continuously rotated via a wheel for power to an active generator that could produce power continuously without any input.
The difference was massive, and the loss of hundreds of thousands of years of effort by the Elephant-Tigress Sovereign just using her resonant qi to the fullest extent was a true sign of that.
The Seven Towers of Heavenly Sages had seven Heavenly Fathers and Mothers, a rather grandiose title given their controversial positions. Among them were the Four Father Sages and Three Mother Sages: Oakfather, Skyfather, Seafather, Littlefather, Rainmother, Earthmother, and Darkmother. They were all Heavenly Alchemic Saints, and they ruled over their own Heavenly Realm and six World Realms between the Galactic Zones, establishing themselves as 'outside' the Galactic Zones of the Seven Utmost Towers' Zenith, and as independent.
They often dealt with lesser galaxies alongside the other organizations within the galaxy.
From what Wei Wuyin knew, the Yin-Yang Dao Union Pills were the joint product of the Skyfather and Earthmother, who were one of the few Dao Companions at the Supreme Sage level!
As for this Oakfather Sovereign, he was an ally of the Incandescent Star Palace Lord, but even his subordinates didn't dare to refer to him as Heaven-Saint Oakfather, given the controversy. The Zeniths rarely involved themselves too heavily with the Incandescent Star Palace, given their propensity to operate almost exclusively within the galaxy, and if someone needed to have a shipment sent to them, they would pay for the escorts or the Incandescent Star Palace's Star Bridge, not them. They would just deliver it to a nearby pick-up location.
However, organizations such as the Seven Towers of Heavenly Sages often associated with the lesser galaxies and organizations existing outside the galactic domains, such as Void Pirates and Void Hunters.
Because of this, the Incandescent Star Palace Lord had numerous relationships with other Supreme Sages, True Sages, and Mystic Overlord-level forces, gaining significant trust and name recognition. Even the leaders of the lesser galaxies trusted and knew of their name and the illustrious Star Bridge.
However, non-alchemy organizations exist at all levels within the Utmost Purity Galaxy as well, and while there were no Imperial Dao cultivators at the Heavenly Saint Phase or higher, they welcomed and accepted a rich culture that took training talents and growing in strength seriously. After all, an alchemist can not single-handedly nurture talents by feeding them products and hoping for the best.
The Knightly Dao Pavilion was an example of this as they trained Alchemic Knights, even future leaders of entire regions of a galactic zone. They had given birth to three True Sages, and while they had been a part of a grand game of Mystics, they were a genuine organization with extraordinary influence.
They were designated as Palaces or Pavilions, depending on their purpose. Palaces, such as the Incandescent Star Palace, operated upon niche business ventures, often involving unique qualities like nurturing specific materials for sale, cultivating planetary agriculture, or construction of Void Vessels, Void Gates, and reinforcing World Realms.
Pavillions, on the other hand, such as the Knightly Dao Pavilion and the Primal Peerless Pavilion, focused on the development of lineage and legacies, cultivating unique combat-focused Cultivating Methods. They were military might. They often deployed Void Hunters, Void Pirates, and Alchemic Knights, largely originating from these organizations.
Among the top-tier non-alchemy organizations, those with Supreme Existences, excluding Seers, Oracles, and the Arcanids, who avoided the public eye, were known as the Seven Star Palaces and Seven Peerless Pavilions. The number seven held great reverential significance in the Utmost Purity Galaxy. Even the illustrious galaxy-specific rankings included only lists of seven, seventy-seven, or seven hundred and seventy-seven, such as the Seven Rising Heavens Alchemic Ranking.
The seven top palaces are: the Incandescent Star Palace, the Honeygold Star Palace, the Forged Star Palace, the Endless Star Palace, the Whiteborn Star Palace, the Shattered Star Palace, and the Talisman Star Palace.
The seven top pavilions are: The Peerless Sword Pavilion, the Peerless Moon Pavilion, the Peerless Shadow Pavilion, the Peerless Primal Pavilion, the Peerless Earth & Sky Pavilion, the Peerless Fortune Pavilion, and the Peerless Poison Pavilion.
The Peerless Primal Pavilion ranked second out of the top seven, while the Peerless Earth-Sky Pavilion, ranked sixth out of seven, had the overt backing of both Heaven-Saint Skyfather and Heaven-Saint Earthmother, led by their daughter, the Dual-Lotus Sovereign!
They were a family of not one, not two, but three Supreme Sages! Unfortunately, due to the segregated status, the Peerless Earth-Sky Pavilion officially had only a single Supreme Sage.
-----
Traveling through the Dark Void, the Incandescent Star Palace Lord transmitted a brief overview of the cultivators they'll meet, including their personalities and relationships to the Incandescent Star Palace.
'Finally, time to meet the elites of the Utmost Purity Galaxy.'
