When the images on the floor finally stopped playing, the room became incredibly silent. Adrian and Frey looked at each other and silently agreed that this was such a bad ending. Adrian himself thought that the Divine Blacksmith Aurgelmir becoming his godly self again was terrifying. He saw the divine blacksmith summon his entire body from another dimension to destroy all life in the northern continent.

“That is just one of the many futures of the northern continent that I have seen. Some futures were too bleak to even see clearly and some end almost just the same.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“Are you sure that you want me or rather us to stop this? You know that telling us will land you in trouble. The Laws of Causality will take a toll on your body and even the Three Sisters of Fate will definitely curse you for interfering in such a big event.” Adrian stated as he worries that the Great Star Gazer will definitely die if she gets afflicted with the punishment of messing with fate.

“Do not worry too much, Mediator Equinox. The Three Sisters of Fate has told me to actually call for you as someone has interfered with fate itself. A being was able to actually twist fate and make it lose control. It is also the reason why I am seeing many branches of the future itself when it usually only comes to me in one vision. Also, beings such as yourselves are outside the predictions of fate which means you are able to interfere.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“Wait! If you said that we can interfere then is it possible that a being such as us also interfered with fate?” Frey suddenly asked as she managed to determine the clues that is given by the Great Star Gazer.

“It is possible but incredibly rare to be honest. Only those blessed by the gods can hide from other gods. The Three Sisters of Fate are different from other gods though as they usually stay out of mortal affairs. The fact that they called for me meant that another mortal must have messed with fate itself. They are very angry at those that disturb their work after all, and I almost got blasted out of existence because of it.” Adrian stated.

“They did mention that to me in passing. They also said that you must deal with this anomaly as this is an extension of your test. The initial one was merely too easy for you to achieve. They also said that you must not expect any help from them as it will turn disastrous should they show favor to a mortal. I actually saw in some of my visions of beings that the Three Sisters of Fate helped. They did not end well is what I can only say.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“I see. If that is the case, then I shall deal with the problem as we did come here to do so. It would be nice if you can point me in the right direction. It will make our quest easier as the problem is the Primordial Beast of Gluttony, right?” Adrian stated.

“The mediator is correct. You just need to do what you need or rather was asked to do by the gods.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“If that is the case then we will go once you tell me the general direction. You can give that much without incurring any punishment after all.” Adrian stated as he proceeded to hold Frey’s hands.

“Unfortunately for the mediator, the maiden must journey on her own.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“Pardon?” Adrian exclaimed in shock as he believed that he and Frey would join hands to defeat he enemy.

“Your battle is with the Primordial Beast of Gluttony, but the maiden has a different battle entirely. She must battle with an adversary that rivals her patron goddess. That adversary has been waiting for her in the coldest mountain of the north.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

Frey immediately looked shock as she does have a quest that details of a fight that she must never lose. It was a fight that lets her change the course of the current disagreement with the Aesir Gods. Not all of the Aesir Gods are in favor of the will of the God Odin. Some are merely sitting on the fence and waiting if the mortals can fend off the gods. This was one of the challenges that Frey herself must do to help the mortals.

“Will my destined fight be helpful to protecting this kingdom?” Frey asked.

“Yes. The winner may ask a favor, and that favor must be done without question.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“I understand. I leave the Primordial Beast of Gluttony to you. Please protect the people in my stead.” Frey stated as she looked at Adrian and nodded towards him before leaving.

“You must go west, mediator. Your destined fight will be located there. Better to bring half with you while the rest are stationed here.” The Great Star Gazer stated.

“Okay. Thank you for the help.” Adrian stated as he also left.

The Great Star Gazer then proceeded to cough up blood as she defied causality by actually helping. As soon as Adrian and Frey accepted what they must the done, the futures she was seeing suddenly diverged into two paths. One where they emerge victorious and one where they lost. She did expect to get some backlash, but it made her incredibly weak.

“I pray to the Three Sisters of Fate that both of you be victorious.” The Great Star Gazer stated as she once again entered sleep as her life’s end draws nearer than ever before.

Adrian prepared and had those that can handle the cold come with him in hunting down the Primordial Beast of Gluttony. He also alerted the guild alliance that he might summon them all for battle in the northern continent. The guild alliance was shocked that the Pantheon Guild already found a lead and is approaching the enemy, but they are known for their fast information.

[The Sleeping Tundra has awoken!]

[The cold winds of the north have become more powerful.]

“What just happened?!” Adrian exclaimed as the entire northern continent suddenly started to rumble.

The continent felt the shifting of the ground and a powerful gust of cold winds lowered the temperature even more. Even the protections casts by the gods that now protect the villages, towns, and kingdoms suddenly waned for a moment. A powerful being that represented the northern continent has woken up.

A small snow tornado suddenly appeared before Adrian and the Ice Queen Elona manifested in all her beauty and majesty. She looked around and saw Adrian was there which prompted the latter to suddenly become afraid. Adrian saw that the death of the Ice Queen Elona is one of the reasons why the northern continent became an icy graveyard.

“Equinox, you are here. I must ask for your help for the moment. My scouts have told me that the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra has marched its way for us.” The Ice Queen Elona stated.

“Is that what that large beast made of ice and snow was? The one that was as big as a mountain?” Adrian muttered as he did saw a large ice beast destroying the kingdom of ice.

“Did you already know? Did you? No, do not tell me. Telling me might impact the future and make what might happen be worse.” The Ice Queen Elona stated as she is a dear friend of the Great Star Gazer and knows of the ‘rules’ regarding the prophetic visions.

“Do not worry, your majesty. I have already set up the plans for now and leave half of my guild here. The other half will be dealing with the one that might have woken up the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra. But why is it coming to your kingdom?” Adrian replied.

“It is coming to for the Frigid Ice Core that lies in the depths of my kingdom. It is actually the heart of another primordial beast that was slain ago. Rather, the Frigid Ice Core is the heart of that primordial beast. If the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra gets a hold of the Frigid Ice Core, then it could either revive the primordial beast sealed in it or devour it to become more powerful. Either way, the destruction of the kingdom is absolute if it happens.” The Ice Queen Elona stated.

“No wonder the beast could contend with the full powered old man.” Adrian muttered once more as he did see that the real form of Aurgelmir was gigantic but the beast that he battled was about the same size.

“When do you think it will arrive?” Adrian asked.

“With its speed, it will reach my kingdom within the next three days. It will bring the blizzard with it and coat everything in ice and snow.” The Ice Queen Elona stated.
