Chapter 6045 Dragon Slaying Weapon

Chapter 6045 Dragon Slaying Weapon

Lei Linger appeared just like Huo Linger—without warning—and slapped Ba Ta across the face.

The opportunity Ba Ta had created by sacrificing his core essence blood was shattered in an instant.

Lei Linger’s slap was even more vicious than Huo Linger’s. Her violent thunderforce charred half of Ba Ta’s face black, and lightning runes visibly spread from his skin to the rest of his body.

He was left half paralyzed.

At that moment, Long Chen and Huo Linger also returned to the battlefield. Now it was three against one.

“Fine, I’ll go all-out against you!” Ba Ta’s roar almost sounded like weeping.

Ba Ta had once been a major figure during the primal chaos era, with countless glorious battle achievements to his name. Though he had ultimately died at the hands of the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign, that very fact had preserved his legacy. After all, dying to such an existence was itself a testament to his power.

However, today, he almost cried from how brutally bullied he was. He had countless world-shaking divine abilities but couldn’t use any of them.

With Lei Linger joining the fray, the three of them relentlessly pushed Ba Ta back, reducing him to a wretched state.

The spectators were completely dumbfounded by this turn of events. Seeing Ba Ta so enraged and aggrieved, they couldn’t help but find it funny.

But more importantly, they finally realized just how terrifying Long Chen’s full strength truly was.

Two powerful elemental spirits—each with strength rivaling that of their top ten heavenly geniuses—stood at his side. Had Long Chen summoned them earlier, Xue Tu might have been forced to kneel long ago.

“Go all-out? With what?” Long Chen provoked as he launched another attack.

Ba Ta gritted his teeth, his fury reaching its peak. Suddenly, a ruthless glint flashed in his eyes. He roared, “Even if I die, I’ll drag you down with me!”

With that, a golden dragon spear appeared in Ba Ta’s hand.

Gasps erupted across the spectator stands.

“A dragon-slaying weapon!”

This was a weapon crafted solely to kill dragons. Every rune carved into it was tailored to slay members of the dragon race.

When they saw the dragon slaying spear, they instantly realized Ba Ta had kept it in reserve to break through the Dragon Domain’s barrier and escape.

However, on the martial stage, this spear’s full power was restricted. Using it here might allow him to kill Long Chen, but he’d lose his chance to flee.

No wonder Ba Ta had been so confident at first. Despite knowing that there were terrifying existences in his surroundings, he had still said such arrogant words. It seemed that everything was within his calculations.

Unfortunately for him, those calculations had been wrecked by Long Chen. He had no choice but to gamble. If he didn’t, he would die here.

Could this spear break through the martial stage’s barrier? No one knew.

But Ba Ta didn’t care anymore. The humiliation he suffered wouldn’t let him leave quietly. Before anything else—he had to kill Long Chen.

The dragon slaying spear hurtled down at Long Chen. Its terrifying Sovereign might froze space itself, and the martial stage beneath Long Chen’s feet started to crumble.

Startled cries rang out from all sides.

This power had exceeded that of a double-body Sovereign Lord. Just how would Long Chen block such a devastating blow?

As the attack descended, Lei Linger and Huo Linger vanished, as if they had abandoned Long Chen and fled.

Yet, a cold smile crept onto Long Chen’s lips.

With a wave of his hand, a bronze cauldron appeared before him.

“Idiot, do you think a fake Earth Cauldron can stop me? Die!” Ba Ta roared.

As expected of a remnant from the primal chaos era, his knowledge and experience were extraordinary. He actually recognized the origin of the Demon Moon Cauldron.

However, unbeknownst to Ba Ta, what Long Chen had just taken out wasn’t the Demon Moon Cauldron.

BOOM!

The dragon slaying spear smashed into the Earth Cauldron. The cauldron’s runes instantly blazed with light, unleashing a wave of divine might.

Ba Ta’s expression shifted wildly—pale, then red, then purple. Time itself seemed to freeze.

There was no massive explosion. The Earth Cauldron remained perfectly intact, and even the spear was undamaged.

Suddenly, Ba Ta coughed up a mouthful of blood—black blood. Within it were twisted black runes, and a sinister qi erupted from his body.

The Earth Cauldron vanished, unwilling to let itself be tainted by that vile blood. With it gone, Long Chen stepped forward and seized the dragon spear by its shaft.

“Hand it over!” exclaimed Long Chen.

With Ba Ta’s soul already in tatters, Long Chen easily pried the spear from his hands.

The dragon spear’s runes lit up as it tried to resist. But after being shocked by the Earth Cauldron, it became a bit sluggish.

Before it could resist, Long Chen tossed it into the primal chaos space. Once the dragon spear vanished, Ba Ta spat out blood once again.

This time, his blood wasn’t entirely black—it was partially red. One of his dark eyes flickered and turned red again.

“AHH!”

Ba Ta suddenly clutched his head and screamed. From within him, Xue Tu’s aura started to rise.

“No, I don’t accept this…!”

He struggled violently, but the damage he had suffered was too severe. He couldn’t stop Xue Tu from seizing control.

As black qi surged from his body, Xue Tu’s aura returned. His will and soul started to devour Ba Ta’s, absorbing his soul, memories, and dragon race techniques.

The tables had turned once more.

“To think things would develop like this…” muttered one of the dragon experts.

The spectators were stunned.

Long Chen had beaten Ba Ta, or perhaps it should be said that he had conned Ba Ta to death. The one to benefit the most was actually Xue Tu.

Ba Ta was after Xue Tu’s body, but Xue Tu also desired Ba Ta’s ancient soul—his divine abilities, his magical arts, and his lifetime of combat experience.

It had been a deadly gamble. Just when Xue Tu seemed doomed, Long Chen intervened and turned the entire game on its head.

In the end, Xue Tu won.

Xue Tu blinked in confusion, looking around at the wrecked martial stage and the shocked crowd. Feeling a sharp sting on his cheek, he let out a puzzled cry.

“What happened? Why does my face hurt?”

In his memory, he had only just been fighting Long Chen. What had happened?

Just then, the martial stage quivered. The shattered platform rapidly reconstructed itself, and a barrier reappeared.

At its center, a black spot formed and then expanded. The barrier slowly faded.

“The battle’s over? No, it’s not!”

Xue Tu held his face and shouted resentfully. His dragon blood power was still at its peak, so how could the battle be over?

However, the martial stage ignored Xue Tu’s call. The platform trembled once more. Then, with a final pulse of energy, both Long Chen and Xue Tu were flung into the air.

The martial stage vanished.

“Again!”

Xue Tu suddenly shouted and lunged at Long Chen midair. But before he could reach Long Chen, he coughed up blood and plummeted.
