“Are you joking? Kill him!” Evilmoon roared furiously at the Earth Cauldron’s words.

Long Chen hesitated, his blood boiling with frustration. He had just defeated Long Zaiye, reducing him to a vulnerable state where only a few moves would finish him. And now, the Earth Cauldron was telling him to stop? How could he let such an opportunity slip away?

In theory, since it was the Earth Cauldron speaking, Long Chen should listen to it.

However, Long Zaiye was powerful, cunning, and exceedingly dangerous. Defeating him was one thing, and actually killing him was another. In normal circumstances, even if Long Chen bested him in battle, he would just escape. So, now that Long Chen had exhausted all of Long Zaiye’s energy, rendering him unable to run, this was the best opportunity to kill him.

What if this opportunity slipped through his fingers? Long Chen wasn’t afraid of facing Long Zaiye again, but if this beast targeted the Dragonblood warriors, the consequences could be catastrophic.

“Long Chen, ignore him! Entering the Jiuli Divine Stele is more important!” shouted Feng Fei.

Jiang Yue’e brought the Jiang clan’s experts rushing back, and Long Zimo was also charging over without caring about Long Zaiye’s condition.

The Ye and Zhao clan’s top experts did the same, rushing toward the Jiuli Divine Stele with all their might. Seeing this, Long Chen realized that whatever was inside the Jiuli Divine Stele was of utmost importance to the descendants of the Jiuli race.

Although he didn’t fully understand its significance, the behavior of the four divine clans left no doubt about its value.

Clenching his teeth, Long Chen made a swift decision. Lightning wings erupted from his back as he abandoned Long Zaiye and shot toward the Jiuli Divine Stele.

Back then, Feng Fei had told Long Chen about it but hadn’t explained the specifics. Knowing Feng Fei, it was likely because she feared Long Chen would be drawn into danger and killed by Long Zaiye.

Yet, even now, as Long Chen stood on the verge of killing Long Zaiye, Feng Fei was urging him toward the stele. That could only mean whatever lay within it was more crucial than Long Zaiye’s life.

BOOM!

The ground where Long Zaiye lay erupted into a violent explosion. A black ripple surged outward, transforming the area into a swirling black hole.

“Fuck, he’s still playing dirty!” Long Chen cursed, his heart pounding.

Long Zaiye truly had many dirty tricks. In his peak condition, Long Chen might not care about this. But in his weakened state, it could be lethal.

From the center of the black ripples, Long Zaiye emerged. His left hand was as black as ink, withered like a shriveled chicken’s foot. He had most likely activated some kind of mechanism and paid a certain price to unleash this move. However, he didn’t end up hitting Long Chen.

“Long clan, block him! Don’t let him enter the Jiuli Divine Stele!”

Long Zaiye’s furious roar echoed as he gave chase, but Long Chen was already closing in on the Jiuli Divine Stele.

Ahead of him, countless experts from the Long clan were rushing forward. Hearing Long Zaiye’s command, they stopped, their hands instinctively reaching for their weapons.

Though Long Chen was terrifying, he was visibly exhausted. If they coordinated and stalled him, even briefly, they could buy Long Zaiye enough time to turn the tide and potentially kill him.

“My grudge with Long Zaiye is personal. If you dare to interfere, I guarantee you won’t see tomorrow’s sun,” Long Chen said coldly, his eyes glinting sharply.

Hearing this, the Long clan’s experts trembled. Although Long Chen was a wanted criminal of the clan, he still carried the blood of the divine clans—a member of the Long clan by birth.

His overwhelming strength was undeniable. If the clan elders realized just how powerful Long Chen truly was, they would likely do everything in their power to win him over. If they could do so, wouldn’t the Long clan soar beyond anyone’s reach? After all, he was an existence that even Long Zaiye couldn’t beat.

To offend Long Chen now would mean giving up any hope of him joining the Long clan. Furthermore, this was a personal duel. They had no obligation to get involved in it.

Then, they recalled how Long Zimo had not done anything to help Long Zaiye in his crucial moment. Clearly, he had realized this.

Realizing Long Zimo’s stance, the Long clan experts exchanged glances and made a decision. Instead of blocking Long Chen, they stepped aside to create a path for him. In doing so, they subtly expressed goodwill, hoping to sow the seeds of favor should Long Chen ever return to the Long clan.

When Long Chen got close to the Jiuli Divine Stele, a powerful resistance slammed into him. It felt as though he was moving through a raging current. He immediately understood why everyone else’s speed had dropped so dramatically upon approaching the stele.

Suddenly, seven-colored divine light surged around him as his Supreme Blood activated of its own accord. The oppressive resistance lessened instantly, and Long Chen felt as though he was no longer fighting the current but moving with it.

Long Chen quickly withdrew his thunderforce and astral energy, realizing that these energies were being repulsed even harder by the surrounding pressure.

As Long Chen advanced, he suddenly felt barriers materialize in his path, each composed of countless swirling runes.

Passing through the first barrier felt like pushing against a thin, elastic membrane. Despite its thinness, it possessed astonishing flexibility and strength, nearly rebounding Long Chen backward.

He only managed to get through this layer by unleashing his seven-color Supreme Blood. Once he passed through, countless runes surged into him, imprinting themselves deeply into his mind.

Passing through these barriers lets you absorb their runes?

This was Long Chen’s first time encountering such an extraordinary phenomenon.

Looking forward, he saw countless experts of the divine clans charging through the barriers. He had long since lost track of Long Zimo.

“I have to move faster, or they’ll claim all the treasures,” Long Chen muttered, his determination surging.

Long Chen still didn’t know what secrets lay hidden within the Jiuli Divine Stele, but the desperation of the four divine clans told him it had to be something beyond imagination.

With a burst of effort, Long Chen pushed through four barriers in rapid succession. Each time, a torrent of information flooded into his mind, but there was no time to process it. All he could do was keep advancing.

Long Chen noticed that ninety-nine percent of the Long clan’s experts were blocked by the fourth barrier. Pressing their hands against the barrier, they stood still, their eyes closed in deep concentration. The power of their bloodlines flared around them as they tried to resonate with the barrier.

What are they doing? Long Chen wondered briefly but dismissed the thought. He wasn’t here to analyze their methods. Focusing his Supreme Blood’s power, he charged forward again.

However, as he approached the fifth barrier, his momentum faltered. A sudden backlash forced him to retreat, and his blood churned violently within him.

Long Chen muttered, “Damn it! I’ve burned through too much energy! Even though I’ve been conserving the power of my seven-color Supreme Blood, my energy reserves are too low to effectively unleash my bloodline power!”

Just as frustration began to set in, a familiar voice called out.

“Over here!”

Looking up, Long Chen saw Feng Fei waving at him in the distance. Feeling relieved, he prepared to move toward her when, without warning, a seven-colored chain shot out from deep within the Jiuli Divine Stele’s world.

The chain pierced the barrier in front of Long Chen with ease and coiled tightly around his waist.

“What the—?!” Long Chen cried out in shock as the chain yanked him forward, dragging him through the barrier with terrifying force.
