To everyone's surprise it was Camilla that laughed and responded. They had never experienced something like this, normally the man would be the one to comment or avoid the comment.
"Ming is a very important person in China." Camilla used his first name to show the intimacy of their relationship, she was sure that the gossip mongers would be able to pick up on that one. "It's only natural that after a decade of not seeing each other he would be matched with other fine women."
Guan Ming smiled at the woman in his arms. He knew that she was a quite the business woman, he just didn't expect her to be able to handle the media so well.
"So Miss Montero, you are not bothered by Miss Han Ai's presence tonight?" A reporter bravely asked.
Guan Ming shook his head at the man's stupidity. Had he not realized that if Guan Ming didn't take action against him for harassing Camilla, Cedric was sure to do something.
"Of course not, why would I be?" Camilla asked.
The reporter seemed to want to ask more questions, but Camilla turned to Guan Ming and invited him to go.
"We are holding up the line, Mr. Reyes brought his entire family, it's best if we clear the way. We don't want to become collateral damage." She said with a smile as Guan Ming pulled her through the doors.
Just as the reporters were about to shout after them to get more questions answered, the white Rolls Royce pulled up and their attention was diverted.
"I thought you wouldn't want to miss out on the fun." Ian grinned as he pointed at a tablet in his hands that was showing a live feed of the commotion outside.
"It's not everyday that the Reyes Family arrives in full force." Camilla chuckled as she looked at the screen.
She watched as Cedric helped Adrianna out together with a tiny little boy in a mask.
Camilla wanted to laugh at how silly the mask looked, but of course it only added to the importance of the Reyes Heir.
What shocked the press more was when a bodyguard approached Cedric and Adrianna with a stroller. The twins had been riding in one of the security vehicles behind their parents and older brother.
"I was worried about you with the press earlier." Guan Ming whispered into Camilla's ear as he wrapped an arm around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder as she continued to watch the scene outside.
"How come?" Camilla asked, confused by Guan Ming's worries.
"You're a businesswoman, not a celebrity." Guan Ming commented. "These things don't normally happen."
Camilla threw her head back and laughed.
"It might not be normal in your country, but here business personalities are celebrities as well." Camilla shook her head as she realized the reason for Guan Ming's odd behavior the whole time. "As Cedric's assistant I had been hounded by the press more than once. It became worse when I was VP of Mor Co."
"I'm sorry for underestimating you. It seems every time I think that something is too much for you, you just decide to turn things around and give me the shock of my life." Guan Ming praised.
"Then stop underestimating me." Camilla chuckled. "Have faith that I'm quite capable on my own and that I know when to call for help."
"Ming!" A sweet female voice called out, making Guan Ming, Camilla, Ian, and Nicole turn to look at who had called Guan Ming by his first name.
"Miss Han." Guan Ming said coldly as he kept his arms around Camilla.
Camilla was tempted to shrug him off, she didn't enjoy public displays of affection. But seeing as Guan Ming seemed to want to send a message, she let him be.
"Ming, no need to be so formal." Han Ai pouted. "We used to date, you should at least call me by my first name."
"Miss Han, it was a business proposal between my father and your company, we didn't date, we met so that you could be my companion to an event." Camilla's jaw dropped at how savage Guan Ming's words had been towards Han Ai.
"Ming, you don't need to be so harsh." Camilla said in a soft tone as she placed a hand on Guan Mings.
"I'm only speaking the truth." Guan Ming proudly said.
Han Ai frowned at Guan Ming, but was quickly distracted as she noticed Adrianna and Cedric entering the lobby with their children.
"Wu Jun, come, introduce me to the Reyeses!" She shouted as she pulled Wu Jun towards the direction of the Reyes Family.
"Does she not listen to the news?" Nicole asked as she chuckled at the scene that was about to unfold.
Cedric was overprotective when it came to his wife and children, everyone knew that suddenly walking up to Adrianna and Yoyo was a bad idea and yet Han Ai seemed to have a death wish.
"Such a cute-" Before Han Ai could even finish what she was saying, several bodyguards quickly took hold of her and pulled her away.
Camilla shook her head and pried herself away from Guan Ming.
"I should save your ex." She teased as she walked up to Cedric and Adrianna.
"Let go of me! Do you not know who I am! Wu Jun help me!" Han Ai began to scream at the top of her lungs, attracting the attention of the other guests to the event.
"She's harmless, you can let her go." Camilla told the guards.
To Han Ai's shock, the guards did as Camilla asked, releasing her.
"Don't go near the Reyeses, they won't look too kindly at you next time." Camilla said with a frown as she walked over to greet Cedric, Adrianna, and the children.
"How?" Han Ai turned and glared at Wu Jun. It seemed that there were things that he did not warn her about.
"You're lucky I don't have your woman dragged out in shame, Wu Jun." Cedric said in a loud voice, making sure that everyone in the room heard it. "Aside from attempting to take my son she also offended Camilla. You should know better."
Wu Jun looked down as Cedric reprimanded him, infuriating Han Ai.
"What are you even doing here, Mr. Wu? Should I have you escorted to the airport once more?" Ian said, not missing the chance to throw some shade at the man.
