97 Bad News! (1)
I took a sharp breath as my eyebrows twitched in annoyance.
“CAN I HAVE SOME FUCKING PEACEFUL TIME?!” I shouted in rage without even opening my eyes.
I admit I rarely exploded like this, but this time, I was seriously annoyed!
My chest raised up and down in sync with the thump of my heartbeat. I really wanted to kill someone right now!
As I didn’t hear any voices or sounds after I shouted, I opened my eyes and stared at the open door. No one was there.
No.
No human was there, but a ghost... yes, there was one.
The poor ghost was staring at me in fear, his whole transparent body was trembling. Beside him was two of my white-clothed men, lowering their heads, avoiding my gaze.
I was pretty much aware that my eyes were shooting death glare right now, that was why sometimes I regretted the time my rage was over the top. Innocent people would feel the side effect of my rage.
.....
But, for now I couldn’t care less. Even though I had slept for a whole day, but considering all the bizarre incidents happened to me, I needed to blow off some steam.
Not that I did it intentionally.
I took a deep breath to stabilize my heartbeat. I was still annoyed, but I needed to stay sane and cool headed in order to solve any problems that came to me. Pushing my body into sitting position, I looked at the three of them.
“What is it? Who are you?”
“Milady, this one here is trying to break into the chamber.” One of the men answered with his head was still lowered.
I shifted my gaze to the ghost. As my eyes met his, his body trembled even more. He was on the verge of tears and ran away if my men didn’t hold him in place.
“Spare me! I’m just curious to see the person who stays in Sanjaya’s room.” He knelt almost automatically while begging. His eyes had tears it it.
I frowned hearing his lame excuse. “Are you the ghost who resided in here?”
“Yes, yes, yes. I’m Sanjaya’s friend.” He nodded his head quickly.
“No, you’re not.” Sanji’s voice came from the next room as the door creaked open.
His sleepy face coupled with his messy short hair didn’t make him look like a man in his thirties. Instead, he looked like a wild young man in his late twenties.
So tempting. So hot. So irresistible.
If any of his fan girl ever saw him like this, I was one hundred percents sure that she would die of nosebleed.
My mind was distracted for a second because of his appearance. When I noticed him smirking, I knew he caught me staring.
Damn, being in rage was really not good for me. I was too impulsive! I couldn’t hide my expression at all! How could I get caught staring at him out of all people? So embarrassing!
“Sanjaya, how could you...” The ghost was now in tears as he looked at Sanji in disbelieve, like a wife being wronged by her husband.
Eh? Why did it sound strange? I frowned.
Sanji pinched between his brows, obviously feeling irritated. “You’re just a confused ghost leeching of me. I obviously had kicked you out several times, but you came back over and over.”
Confused ghost? I raised my brow as I got down from the bed. Dismissing the white-clothed men, I stood in the door frame, crossing my arms in front of my chest.
“What do you mean confused ghost?” I asked to Sanji.
“He obviously doesn’t have any grievances left in this world, but he still stuck here. As he doesn’t know what made him unable to proceed to a better place, he is still wandering outside. He even wants to have his own house here! But because he doesn’t have any money, he insists to live with me.” Sanji explained.
“Sanjaya, we’ve known each other for what, fifteen years or more. Do you have the heart to let me live in the street? Don’t you know there are frightening women out there? Not only frightening, they are also UGLY! Do you know my struggles?”
At first, he spoke in aggrieve tone, silently pleading. But then his voice was the image of a man suffering injustice. He was the only man that I have ever seen full of expression. If only he were still alive, I bet he could be a very good actor.
Seeing his horror expression when he talked about ugly women out there brought smiles to my face. He was talking about Kuntilanak, I knew that. But, to find a grown-up man, err ghost, feeling afraid of the Kuntilanak was funny for me.
“What’s your name?” I asked the man.
He looked like in his late thirties. He was not particularly handsome, but he was not ugly either. He had the standard face of Indonesian people. I guessed he must be a native of Indonesia, without any mix of blood in his bloodline.
“Bima. My name is Bima.” He answered quickly.
I nodded. “Are you afraid of Kuntilanak?”
“Who wouldn’t?” He replied almost instinctively.
I chuckled. “Sanji, he is an interesting fellow. Why do you not want him?”
Sanji frowned when he heard me. “Do you want me to live with a gay ghost?”
