128 The Son Of Universe

(Tom’s PoV)

I quickened my steps, afraid that I would lose whatever it was behind the rock. Whatever it was, I had a hunch that it was connected to the chain around my wrists.

“Hm? Why is it here?” A voice belonged to a young boy was heard, overlapping with the previous voice that I heard.

As soon as I stepped behind the rock, I was stunned as I was greeted by the presence of a young boy around fourteen to fifteen years old, wearing only a piece of cloth over his body but his skin color was dark with red lines, really similar to the chain around my wrists. His hair was tied in a bun on his crown with a gold hairpiece holding it in place. As he looked up, I noticed his eyes were red and there were streaks of tears on his face.

He was also wearing gold bands around his wrists with intricate patterns on it. He looked like ancient kingdom’s child; no, abandoned ancient kingdom’s child. He was barefoot with a pair of gold ankle bands around his feet.

The young boy looked at me and I watched as his eyes turned wide. He was getting flustered and starting to stammer. “You, you, you...”

His hands trembled and he took a step back, as if I was a frightening ghost in his eyes. I wish I could tease him, making him really cry must be amusing. But, I was attracted to the chain in his hands.

“Yo.” I greeted casually.

Suddenly, the young boy jumped in fright and tossed the chain away before he ran away while screaming loudly.

.....

“Go away! Go away! Go away, you filthy human! Wuaaaa...”

The way he rejected me made me cold. I could feel my eyes darkened. Grabbing the chain in my hands, I threw it towards to boy. “Go, and capture him.” I said.

Strangely, after I said that, the chain moved towards the young boy and quickly wrapped him in a tight bind.

Huh? I snapped to my senses right after the boy shouted for being bound.

The chain listened to my command? How?

I looked blankly towards the chain which was now dragging the kid. He struggled to get free from the bind, but it was useless.

“Traitor! How could you do this to me?! I am your old friend! I’m your family! How could you do this to me after you come back?! Traitor! You even sold me to the human! How could you let him defiled me?! You traitor!” He yelled in rage. His feet were kicking around.

Eh? This kid surely has a ‘good’ interpretation, right?

My lips twitched again. “Hey kid.” Crouching beside him, I poked him with my finger. “Who defiled you? I’m not interested in children or boy. I’m a genuine man who loves woman. I have a girlfriend, just so you know. So, don’t overthink things or I’ll beat you up.” I glared at him.

As soon as I started speaking, the young boy stopped kicking and looked at me. “But you poked my eyes earlier. Even though it’s not my real eyes, still it hurts. Then you stepped all over me. You even rubbed my body!” His voice got even louder as he looked more wronged than before. Tears started to form on the corner of his eyes.

If he was really the volcano in human form, I guessed I really did what he accused on me. But, when did I rub him? I tried to think hard under his aggrieve glare.

“I didn’t rub your body.” I frowned.

“You dare to lie, you filthy human!” He shouted loudly. If only he was not bound by the chain, I was sure he would have pointed his finger at me. But, his glare was enough to show how much he despised me.

“Then, tell me why would I rub your body?” I peered into his eyes.

“I don’t know. M-maybe you are attracted to my flawless body.” He stammered. “That’s right! You must be envious towards my flawless body.” He looked up confidently.

This kid seriously...

I had the urge to smack his head. Where did his assumption come from? Who the hell taught him that? Why should I envy his body? What flawless? Flawless black? Huh, don’t make me laugh.

“Kid, you... who taught you that?”

“The old man told me that people would drool when they meet me, that I should protect myself not to be defiled by human. You obviously have bad intention towards me, you filthy human!” The young boy seemed to be getting more and more angry.

The frown on my face got even deeper. Whoever this old man was, he must have messed with this young man’s mind.

“Who are you? Why are you here?” Decided to ignore about the kid’s absurd reason, I asked about his identity which I should have done before. Even though I knew that his identity would not be ordinary, I still needed to confirm it.

“Putra Semesta [1].” He answered arrogantly.

My eyes twitched. His name was surely... something. Whoever named him must be bad at naming. Who would name someone as ‘the son of universe’? Wasn’t it too overbearing? It was okay if his name was just ‘Putra’ but adding ‘Semesta’ behind it was too....

I sighed. Never mind. I would not analyze into it too much.

“Why are you here?” I repeated my question.

“What do you mean why I am here? I’m always here. I was born here and have been living here all my life. Where else should I go to?” He retorted back.

This child really lacked of manner. The old man of his surely didn’t put much effort in educating him properly. I knew that he was not human, but at least teach him some manner!

“Are you the Death Volcano?”

The child, Putra Semesta, stared at me with tight lips. His eyes quivered but he closed his lips tightly as if he was afraid he would say something.

But, never mind. From his expression, I already knew the answer.
