122 Caring Classmates

Zhou Lan laughed so hard that she was in stitches at the sight of Chu Jia running away. “Qiao Yue, between YQ’s tormenting and your threats to schedule extra training sessions, Chu Jia ran away.”

“No way! Am I that scary?” Qiao Yue doubted Zhou Lan’s analysis of the situation.

“As long as you don’t drag me to train with you, we’ll stay good friends.” Zhou Lan did not want anything to do with Qiao Yue’s hellish sparring sessions. While she had no trouble enjoying the suffering of others as they trained under Qiao Yue, Zhou Lan did not wish to be in their shoes.

Qiao Yue eyed Zhou Lan speechlessly. Why did she make it sound like she was a ferocious wolf, tiger and leopard all in one?

After Chu Jia departed, Zhou Lan went to do other things. Qiao Yue was so bored that she began playing games while in bed. Similarly, Qiao Yu was so bored that he decided to stay in Qiao Yue’s wardroom.

In the evening, a new wave of guests arrived. They were Qiao Yue and Qiao Yu’s classmates. Qiao Yue searched the crowd of newcomers but did not find the girl she had saved.

Baskets of fruit cluttered the room, forming piles on the ground with each of her peers wishing her well.

Xu Hao asked Qiao Yu about the rescue details while many concerned girls surrounded him.

“Qiao Yu, I thought we were bros! You didn’t even call me when you rushed to save the girl,” Xu Hao joked, punching Qiao Yu’s shoulder.

Qiao Yu reacted indifferently, his gaze falling on Qiao Yue. Surrounding her were all their female classmates.

“Why would I call you? We were already at the hospital. How else could you have helped? Could you have gotten another room?” Qiao Yu retorted sarcastically. He did not have anything he wanted to say to Xu Hao.

Xu Hao’s expression soured. “You two aren’t as limber as me. It’s no wonder you were caught. Neither of you would have gotten hurt if you had brought me along.”

Xu Hao’s words reminded Qiao Yu of the skills Qiao Yue had demonstrated when she was kidnapped. Qiao Yue had fought two against one, and her agility astounded.

Qiao Yu chuckled. “Why don’t you have a match with Qiao Yue one day? You might not even last three moves!”

“How is that possible? Are you saying I can’t beat Qiao Yue?” Xu Hao’s expression betrayed his disbelief.

Attracted by the conversation between the two, a girl asked, “Is Xu Hao going to spar with Qiao Yue?”

The girl had not bothered to moderate the volume of her voice, soon gaining everyone’s attention. Even Qiao Yue could not help but look toward them in askance.

“It wouldn’t be a serious fight. It’s just that Qiao Yu said Qiao Yue is very strong, so I felt the urge to spar with her,” Xu Hao explained with a red face.

“Xu Hao, don’t you practice Taekwondo? How is Qiao Yue supposed to spar with you?” Another girl asked.

“That’s right! It’s only a spar when two people practice martial arts. Qiao Yue doesn’t. Xu Hao, don’t be a bully!” A voice in the crowd chorused.

Xu Hao scratched his head, wanting to explain himself but could not find the words to do so. Qiao Yue was about to step in when a weak voice caught everyone’s attention. “Qiao Yue is very good at fighting. Didn’t she beat up Qiao Xin when she brought her goons to make trouble for her?”

“What?!” Qiao Yue’s classmates exclaimed in unison.

Qiao Yue raised a brow. Hadn’t the video of her hitting someone been deleted a long time ago? How was it possible for someone to know about it?

“This is it!”

Seeing that his classmates were all looking at him, the bespectacled boy took out his phone and swiped on the screen a few times, bringing up a video for everyone to see.

The girl in the video was brave and heroic. Her punches and kicks were clean and crisp. Watching her fight was like watching a performance. She knocked down foes bigger and stronger than her with just a few moves.

“Amazing!” Xu Hao, who stood at the front, could not help but sigh in amazement.

“Where did this video come from? Why haven’t I seen it before?” A boy beside Xu Hao asked.

Many people echoed the boy’s words, saying they had never seen this video before and asking the phone owner where he had seen it.

“I saw it while browsing the forums, so I saved it. It was deleted a long time ago,” The bespectacled boy said.

Qiao Yue sighed. Who would have known someone would have seen and saved it so quickly? She could no longer hide the truth.

“I had it deleted.” Qiao Yu’s voice rang out amid the commotion.

“Ah?”

Xu Hao turned to look at Qiao Yu in confusion. The others stopped asking for the video, and the room fell silent.
