Pain... pain... and pain

An unimaginable pain covered the entirety of Rezen's body. It felt like millions of ants were gnawing at his body both from the inside and out. This level of pain was simply the epitome of the word 'pain'

It was a type of pain that was no other. No sane creature could withstand it. They would rather die than experience such a horrible thing

Even though Rezen's willpower has been trained over and over again and he has quite a resistance to pain, his mind still can't help but move to the brink of collapse

No pain that he experienced in the past could possibly compare to the pain that he was experiencing now

He simply wriggled on the ground while screaming at the top of his lungs. Veins popped on his face and neck as he let out a hideous roar that would make one wonder just what was he experiencing to utter such miserable sounds

What cultivation? What revenge? What reaching the top? And more importantly, what reviving his parents? All of them is nothing in front of this pain

All desires, dreams, and ambitions will simply crumble in front of such a nightmare. At this point, Rezen doesn't care about anything other than dying just so that he can escape from this hell

Inside his farm, the fairy that is normally unfeeling and gives off a mechanical vibe can be seen. In its eyes that was normally devoid of any emotion, a strange light can be seen

It was as if something inside it was resurfacing as it watched its master's horrible state. The memories of a very ancient past temporarily resurfaced, changing the fairy's entire temperament

"This... should I say he is quite lucky? To meet one of the %#^*€$$ in this kind of low-level realm that is even not able to nourish a mage at the 4th rank. However, if this 'baptism' continues normally, the seed of hope will simply die. He is still not at the level to accept this baptism"

The fairy shook its head as it mobilized the power of the entire farm, something that even Rezen could not possibly do in his current state

A strange power surrounded Rezen and he instantly calmed down as his body underwent the 'baptism' that would bring nothing but benefits to him if he survived it

If Rezen was left to receive this baptism on his own, there was no other end than dying. However, as the power of the farm was injected into his body, it was only a matter of time before he finished the baptism successfully

"What a weak #%^€$. Its vitality is already weakened to this extent after just using this much power. Fortunately, #%^*$€ still has some tact. While the vitality of the #%^€¥! will be harmed, after the seed of hope wakes up, the farm not only will recover but also grow!"

After the fairy finished injecting enough power into Rezen to ensure his survival, the distant ancient memories were sealed once again and are most likely not something that will resurface again soon

It was only because of the ancient and remnant entity that was hiding in the Savage Beast Realm that these memories resurfaced even though it was not the time yet. Now that Ivy finished what it should do, these memories were once again sealed and it returned to normal

An emotionless and quite robotic fairy...

As for Rezen, as he undergoes the baptism, miraculous changes are happening in his body that even he didn't know

——

"Where am I? Who am I? What am I?" These thoughts appeared in Rezen's mind as he slowly regained his unconscious

The pain he experienced was so horrible that it even caused his memories to be in a mess. It took him quite a long time to recover and when he did, he slowly sat while looking at his surroundings

"Huh?" Rezen was surprised to see his surroundings. He didn't expect that after falling, he would enter such a place

"How many contaminated stones are here? Not to mention, there are also tons of Poison-type spirit plants everywhere!"

The place that Rezen found himself in was circular in shape and was a perfect circle at that. Such a perfect circle is definitely not something that nature could create. It can only be created by intelligent life forms

However, it was not the shape that surprised Rezen but rather the abundant amount of resources whether that be in the form of contaminated stones or spirit plants

Such a place is simply a treasure trove for him but Rezen was not that happy. He immediately stood up from the ground after his eyes landed on his surroundings

His magic wand appeared in his hand as he looked at his surroundings with caution as if he was expecting to be attacked any moment from now

"What is this place?" Rezen asked to himself. Such a treasure trove most probably has powerful magic beasts. It could even be that magic beast's lair. As such, Rezen was on guard

"Master, you don't have to be on guard. The magic beast in this place is already dead"

Suddenly, Ivy's voice entered Rezen's ears and he knitted his brows

"Dead? The magic beast guarding this treasure trove should be very powerful! How can it die?" Rezen asked, unconvinced

"It didn't die because of an external enemy. It died because it reached the end of its lifespan" Ivy answered to clear Rezen's doubts and he raised his brows

"It ran out of lifespan?" He muttered with a nod and when he looked around him, he indeed saw the carcass of a dead magic beast. It was the body of a contaminated spider. Of course, it was not your ordinary spider

"Yes. This place is filled with natural resources, enabling that contaminated spider to grow and reach the Senior rank. However, it was also because of this place that it was trapped its whole life. The walls, including the ceiling of this place, absorbed a large amount of mana, thus, even a Senior rank entity was barely able to break the ceiling using the remaining of its lifespan" Ivy continued to explain as Rezen walked to the corpse of the magic beasts while sighing

From Ivy's words, this contaminated spider is a Senior-rank magic beast. If Rezen's farm was able to absorb the body of this magic beast, it would at least level up one time

Unfortunately, the magic beast used everything it had, including its lifespan to barely break the ceiling. In the end, its body doesn't have an ounce of energy anymore

"Sigh... what a pity..." Rezen sighed but he was not that disappointed. In any case, with the abundant resources around, especially the contaminated stones, Rezen can still definitely upgrade his farm by at least a level

If that happens, he will then be able to grow spirit plants at the 5th cycle quality easily!

"Am I lucky or what?"

This coincidence made Rezen feel that it was unreal. This is his first time entering the Krome Underground and he already had such a windfall. It was unbelievable to explain it by mere luck

However, it's not like there was a mysterious senior who arranged this fortuitous encounter, right?

Rezen shook his head as he started to harvest the various resources he could find everywhere near him and while he was in the middle of doing that, he suddenly stopped in his tracks

"Hmm? Why am I unaffected by the poison from these mosses? No... it's not that simple. Now that I think of it, I can sense all the poison in my surroundings..."

This is a resource point filled with poison-type treasures. It was not unusual to discover poisonous objects inside

However, Rezen can not only see the poisonous objects, he can even sense the poison they possess

It was like he was stripping these objects using his senses. Even an unassuming grass that you wouldn't think is poisonous couldn't escape Rezen's senses. Even if a heavenly mage were to convince him that that grass is not poisonous, his senses knew that was not the case

"It is because I found a real treasure of heaven and earth. Even poison that can kill mages at the peak of the Junior Rank cannot harm, Master and Master also now had the ability to detect even the most subtle of poison. Also, as Master's strength grows, Master's resistance and sensitivity to poison will also grow" Ivy's voice entered Rezen's mind again and he was shocked

"Such a miraculous treasure of heaven and earth!" He exclaimed. While there are many spirit plants and other resources in the world, the real treasures of heaven and earth are naturally rare and not easy to find

More often, even if a person spends their entire life searching for such treasure, they would still fail

The more miraculous an object is, the rarer it would be

"This trip to the Krome Underground is not in vain! Just the resistance and sensitivity to poison already made the trip more than worth it!"
