"As expected of Miss Zara, you're quite bright and right on target," Mireya grinned, taken aback by Miss Zara's ability to read people's intentions. "It's just as you imagined; we're here to greet them."
"That's what I thought." Miss Zara grinned. "Yuan and his wives are currently having lunch in the dining area; they've been cultivating for two days without food or water, so I cooked something excellent for them to re-energize themselves."
"What!?"
Mireya and Sylvia were both astonished to hear this. They just couldn't believe it.
"They stayed inside their room, cultivating for two days without food or drink. How is that possible?!" Sylvia said in a dazed voice, clearly in disbelief.
They couldn't believe Yuan and his wife went two days without eating or drinking; they'd never heard of anything like that before, and if they did, they wouldn't be in excellent health.
Most of them would be dehydrated from not drinking water for two days, not to mention that they haven't eaten anything either.
'Exactly what is cultivation? How could they go days without eating or drinking?' Many questions sprang into Sylvia and Mireya's minds, but there was no one to answer them.
Miss Zara smiled at them and said, "How about you guys come to my guest room and wait for them to finish their meal before we meet there?"
"That would be great. Please lead the way, Miss Zara." Mireya responded with a smile.
"So, please come with me." Miss Zara smiled back and took them to the guest room, not wanting another guest to disturb Mireya and Sylvia.
'It appears Miss Mireya is in love with Yuan. However, it looks like she is utterly unaware of her own emotions.' Miss Zara thought with a sigh. They quickly arrived at the guest room.
Many lovely artworks and flower vases are hung on the walls as decorations.
In the center of the room is a lovely round table constructed from a rare sort of tree that is primarily used by aristocrats to make their furniture, and it is surrounded by four luxurious sofas.
Mireya looked startled at how wonderfully Miss Zara had designed this room; she could plainly see her efforts to make it attractive and serene.
"I have something to say, Miss Zara. Even though you're usually very busy, you have a good eye for decoration." Mireya appreciated Miss Zara's incredible decorating talent, and she was astounded by her basic decorations, which made the area feel tranquil and beautiful.
"Well, I only do it in my spare time; it's not something to brag about." Miss Zara laughed and exited the room shortly after.
After Miss Zara exited the room, Sylvia looked at Mireya with a serious expression on her face and asked, "Are you sure it would be a good idea to engage in 'that, My Lady?"
"Do you doubt my decision, Sylvia?" Mireya lifted her eyebrows as she gazed at Sylvia.
"Certainly not, My Lady! How could I dispute your decision? I can't do it."
"In that case, don't ask any questions about it."
"I understand, My Lady." Sylvia nodded defeatedly, but then questioned, "But, My Lady. What about the restaurant?"
"From tomorrow am, the restaurant will be closed and will not accept any guests."
"I understand, my lady."
Meanwhile, in the dining area of the inn. Yuan and his women had just completed filling their stomachs to the fullest after not eating for two days.
"I have to say, Miss Zara prepared a really excellent supper for us, enough to fill all of our bellies," Yuan stated, placing his palm on his stomach, realizing he had eaten a little too much due to how delicious the meal was.
"It was one of the finest dinners I've ever had!" Xi Meili exclaimed as she caressed her stomach, which was now round from overeating; a satisfied smile spread across her innocent-looking face.
"I believe it was worth it to wait a few moments for Miss Zara to finish her cooking because the dinner turned out pretty nice," Anna commented with a grin, getting up from her seat.
Miss Zara came to the dining room with a smile and remarked, "Oh! You all finished your meals. I'm here to advise you that Miss Mireya and Miss Sylvia have arrived to see you all, and she is currently waiting in the guest room."
"What?!"
Yuan and his wives were taken aback upon hearing this. I couldn't help but wonder why they were here to meet them, given how much work they had.
'Are they here to express their feelings for me, Dear? I'm not sure about Sylvia, but Mireya has definitely fallen in love with my Dear.' Anna wondered, a slight smile on her lips.
She then turned to face her son and smiled, saying, "Dear, let's go meet them. It would be impolite of us to keep them waiting without somebody to speak."
"Let's go. I am also curious about their visit. Yuan nodded.
"Then follow me; I'll bring you to the guest room." Miss Zara took them to the guest room, where Mireya and Sylvia were waiting for them.
They arrived at the guest room in a few minutes, and Miss Zara opened the door to find Mireya and Sylvia reclining on the luxurious sofa inside.
"Yuan, you guys have finally agreed to come. Do you know how long Sylvia and I have been waiting for you all? You're quite rude to make two lovely girls wait for you." When Mireya saw Yuan and his women, she stood up from the sofa and protested, pouting.
"Sorry about that; when you arrived, we were eating lunch." Yuan apologized, feeling slightly guilty for keeping her waiting.
"Well, don't feel guilty; I'm just teasing you." Mireya smiled at Yuan's serious expression, confirming Sylvia's hunch that Mireya was in love with Yuan.
'It appears like My Lady is truly in love with this human, Yuan.' Sylvia thought and moaned inwardly. 'I wonder how the council would react to this news; they would be astounded by the disclosure.'
At the same time, Anna and Grace are happy as they watch their son connect with Mireya, and they are both certain that Mireya loves Yuan.
They didn't say anything, just glanced at the two with amused expressions on their faces, and they'd gently giggle every now and then, which Miss Zara noticed and giggled along with.
At this point, everyone was aware that Mireya had fallen in love with Yuan, including Leah, who had recently joined their family and married Yuan.
A few seconds later, Yuan addressed Mireya with a serious expression, "So, why did both of you come here to meet us? Is there a special reason for your visit?"
"Well, I'm here to advise you that I and Sylvia have decided to join in the Expedition mission, which will begin tomorrow morning," Mireya remarked, her face filled with excitement and anticipation as if she were a child visiting the waterpark for the first time.
"What?!"
Yuan and his wives, as well as Miss Zara, were stunned to hear this, and Sylvia rolled her eyes.
"That's correct. We intend to join in this endeavor since opportunities like this rarely come around, and who knows when such an event will occur again." Mireya replied with a smile.
She went on to say, "Many notable personalities have come to this city to participate in this celebration, including the Holy Son of the Holy Light Empire."
"Not only him, but the crown prince of our empire, as well as representatives from neighboring empires and kingdoms, have come here to participate." She said,
"And the students of the Royal Magic Academy have also arrived in this city to participate, and they are all brilliant mages who will become famous in the future."
"But this expedition will be exceedingly perilous; are you certain you want to engage in it?" Yuan inquired abruptly, with a serious concerned expression on his face, as if he was afraid something horrible might happen to her if she and Sylvia entered the jungle.
Mireya was astonished to find Yuan caring about her, and she couldn't help but wonder if he had feelings for her, or if it was all in her head.
However, she dismisses the possibility of Yuan having feelings for her, shakes her head, and smiles, "That's why I intend to join your group and stay with you guys during the mission."
"I see…" Yuan wasn't startled to hear this; he had expected it from Mireya since she declared her involvement.
"Nice, very nice, this will be a great thing, and I'm sure in just a few days she'll hurl herself into my darling's arm." Grace thought, and a smile spread across her expressionless face.
"I'll go make a pot of tea, and you two can talk in the meantime." Miss Zara abruptly jumped up and spoke before heading to her kitchen.
After Miss Zara left, Mireya detailed her strategy to Yuan and his wife, as well as her true intentions inside the forest.
Mireya was after the material of the mighty and unknown monsters that live within the woodland Of Never Return; in addition, she promised them that there would be many precious herbs with remarkable qualities within the forest.
Such herbs would be auctioned at a very high price; it is possible that in an auction house, such herbs would sell for millions of gold coins, and if she was able to obtain a large number of herbs, she would make a significant profit.
Yuan raised his eyebrows slightly when Mireya mentioned plants, indicating a strong interest in them.
He wondered whether he could find any spiritual herbs in the forest because this world has a lot of Spiritual Energy.
'I hope I can locate some spiritual herb in the forest.' Yuan had a thought.
"So, what do you think of my plan?" Mireya's eyes sparkled as she asked him.
Yuan grinned at Mireya and said, "I never knew you'd love money so much, and you're even thinking of taking such a great risk only for a few million gold coins... I'm speechless."
"What's wrong with my love of money? Aren't you going into the wilderness for the same cause as me? To become incredibly wealthy?" she said with a pout on her face, unsatisfied with Yuan and tacitly calling her a money lover.
