Zhang Renshu had thought that Zhang Liling had already done something worse.

But this mindset changed the next moment he learned that she and her mother, Song Jujing had visited the Fang Family without him.

Hell broke lose.

Immediately, he tried to contact Zhang Liling first, but he couldn't reach her hence he had no choice but to try and reach Song Jujing.

Unfortunately, she was equally busy so she cut off his call as they came, which annoyed him greatly.

Not knowing her whereabouts, he sent her a demanding text.

'Jujing, you no longer answer my calls now?'

As the father of Zhang Liling, Zhang Renshu's anger was not baseless.

It was natural for him to be annoyed after being excluded from such an important meeting as that, he deserved an explanation in the least, so he thought.

In the middle of the show, Song Jujing read the text and quickly replied him before turning off her phone.

'When I'm busy, I don't.'

Seeing the response coming from her after misunderstanding the situation, Zhang Renshu immediately three a fit.

"This woman! You no longer have time for me?"

Before the close of work for that day, his blood pressure rose and to better take care of himself, he went back to the house, packed a few of things and left without telling anyone his whereabouts.

In this situation where he hates the guts of his wife and her existence, plus the neglect from his ex, there was only one place he could find peace, and that was in the company of the other woman in his life.

It was a place where he would find peace and comfort.

At least there was still someone that listened to him.

If Zhang Renshu could react this way, Shi Wenqian's attitude could be worse, but she better behaved herself this time around by learning not to show her emotions again so easily.

Seeing the news about Zhang Liling officially being engaged to Fang Bingwen, she understood a lot of things.

That stepdaughter of hers would become too difficult to handle.

The Fang Family had accepted her which means that she would be under their protection always. Maybe she should have targeted their relationship and sowed a discord, but it wouldn't have been easy for her.

Separating Sing Jujing from the Song family was so easily done because of that old man's pride, but the Fang Family was not the same.

They were not directly linked to Song Jujing so she never thought that they would be a problem for her currently.

Shi Wenqian's goal was very simple. If Song Jujing was a fish that lived in the water, all she wanted to do, was to drain that water so it would be easy for her to suffocate.

By breaking her wings and separating her dorm he backbone which was the Song family and the people in S city that liked her, it would be easy to get rid of her.

But what Shi Wenqian did not expect, Song Jujing escaping to Paris and making a name for herself over there.

In summary, the current situation was not favourable to Shi Wenqian.

But seeing as things were now moving so smoothly for Sing Jujing and her daughter, she just couldn't help it.

Instead of attacking them, she chose to start gathering her eggs into her basket.

'Mingyu needs to get married because Zhang Liling.'

Having these thoughts, she picked up her phone to dial Zhang Renshu's contact, but she was redirected to voice mail.

"It seems like I have to meet the family myself." She muttered under her breath and picked up her bag to leave the house.

Since Zhang Renshu could not be reachable at the moment, she would take laws into her own hands.

After all, this concerned her son and the marriage which seemed to have been swept under the carpet, had to be brought up again.

But unknown to the power-hungry woman, a big trouble was brewing in the atmosphere.

*******

During the five hour plus flight to Country C, Zhang Liling's eyes were wide open.

She kept on ordering a few things to keep her mouth busy but when she was full, she concentrated her attention on he environment even though she basically couldn't see anything.

It would have been better for her to work just like how Fang Bingwen was doing, but as she was impatient plus the fact that her mind was preoccupied with a certain someone, she couldn't get any work done.

Finally when the jet was going to land, her happiness knew no bound. Quickly securing her seatbelt, she tapped her feet on the floor like an excited little child.

Looking at the view from below, she inquired. "Mr. Fang, are we going to see Jia Li's and Mr. Fu today?"

"Can you take a break?" From where he was sitting, Fang Bingwen demanded. He was ready tired of her.

If an adult like her was acting this way, then how would his own child behave? The thought of that shattered his mental strength.

He didn't think he could deal with both mother and child at the same time.

"Can I not?" Zhang Liling retorted.

How could she take a break now after having been waiting patiently to meet her idol and her family since a few months ago?

This has to be a dream come true.

Seeing how stubborn she was, plus the fact that she was not going to behave, Fang Bingwen dedicated the few minutes they had before they disembarked, into securing an inner peace.

No matter how she asked him any questions again, he refused to respond.

"Finally, it's great to be here!" Stepping down the stairs, Zhang Liling allowed the evening breeze to fly the power hems of her long green gown.

A beautiful smile laid on her face as her eyes moved about her surrounding.

They had finally touched down at City B in Country C.

"Can you speak Chinese?" Fang Bingwen asked from behind with his gaze ahead.

"A little. Apart from our native language, I can speak French and English fluently. This should be enough for me to communicate here."

"Lucky you," he replied while leading the way to the three vehicle convoy waiting for them.

He had wanted to frighten her a bit, but it seemed like his little woman knew too much.

From their landing location, they were taken to a five-star hotel where Fang Bingwen had already booked a four-day stay for them both.

What surprised Zhang Liling more was how big their room was.

There was a sitting room, two bedrooms and a small dining area.

"Mr. Fang, I thought we would share one bed?" Zhang Liling asked, staring at him with a raised brow.

"Remember, we are not yet married." He reminded as he took her hand and showed her to the other room.

"This is where you would sleep."

"Mr. Fang, when are we getting married?" she inquired, refusing to let go off the topic.

"Mmmm... Let's get back home first. You need to settle a few things with your new business before we can start planning our wedding."

Not wanting to rush things with their wedding ceremony, Fang Bingwen wanted then to do other important tasks first before investing their quality time into their wedding preparations that way, there would be a proper use of time.

Satisfied with his response, Zhang Liling didn't bother him about the reason he wanted then to stay in separate bedrooms when they were already engaged.

How traditional was he?

Was Mr. Fang that modest as he appeared to be? Well she would have to find out soon.

After Fang Bingwen's bodyguards had put all their stuff in the room, they went down to one of the rooms in the next floor to rest for the night.

Losing the tie on his neck, Fang Bingwen asked, "Do you still want something for dinner?"

Stepping out of her room in a bathrobe, Zhang Liling walked into his and sat at the foot of his bed.

"My stomach is still blown up, but I would be glad if I can get something to eat in the middle of the night."

"Something like what?" he asked, giving her the inquisitive look.

"Chocolates and maybe Ice cream."

"I see."

Putting his neck tie on the bed, he went to the landline on the nightstand to make a call to the front desk.

"I would like some one plate of kebabs, chicken wraps and two bottle of water, thank you."

Slamming the receiver down, he turned to her. "Now you can go to the bathroom and take your bath before the order arrives."

Looking at him with a surprised gaze, she failed to understand what he just displayed.

"I requested for chocolate, but I didn't hear you add it to the order."

"Is chocolate food? Go and have your bath." Saying that to her, he quickly took her hand and forced her into the large wash area, ignoring the big frown on her face.

"Mr. Fang, do you really love me?"

She inquired once again since the engagement ring he slipped into her finger the previous day, seemed to no longer prove it.

"Yes, with my full-sized heart." Fang Bingwen replied shortly before he shut the door against her.
