Chapter 4387: Year
Knock Knock!
I was working on the core when I heard the knock on my door.
Click!
I opened my eyes and appear beside the door before opening it.
"I hope I didn’t disturb you, Prime Arys," said the woman. "Of course, not Prime Rava," I replied with a smile. "Please, come in," I invited.
"Thank you, Prime Arys," she replied and walked inside.
A moment later, we were both sitting in a living room. It’s clear that the woman wants something, but is a little hesitant about it.
We kept looking at each other for a few seconds before the woman opened her mouth.
"You have already provided us with a lot of tremendously helpful things. The medical tools, knowledge, and breakthrough formations," she said, looking into my eyes with all seriousness.
"I am once more asking for your help. I hope you will let me borrow, you Prime-Grade breakthrough formation," she requested.
Hearing that, I couldn’t laugh.
"Prime Rava, you should have asked directly. There was no need to use so many words," I said, and a palm-sized indigo disc appeared in front of us.
I had provided them with a lot of things, including the breakthrough formations.
They were for those below Prime.
I had hinted to her that, if she needs the Prime-level, I will give it to her. This is my breakthrough formation, and I’ve made numerous changes over the past year.
I knew they would ask for it and was more than willing to give it to them.
I have all the data I need for the breakthroughs below the Prime. I didn’t have data on those breaking through to the Prime.
After I left Tor, I didn’t think. I would have the opportunity to collect that data.
Every organisation keeps its Prime breakthroughs secret, including Taurus.
This will help me tremendously. With the data, I will be able to make the formation better, increasing my chances of success when I make a breakthrough into the Prime.
"Thank you, Prive Arys," she replied as she took the disk.
I may be smiling right now, but there is a risk. It has a lot of forbidden power; there are changes from the beginning to hide it, and I reinforced it further, but I am still a little worried.
It is a risk I will need to take for the precious data.
"You have come for this, which means someone is ready to make a breakthrough into the Prime?" I asked, and the woman nodded.
They take the breakthroughs very seriously here. Breakthroughs are always serious everywhere, especially the Prime breakthroughs, but here it is more due to the challenges and the opportunities this place offers.
It is why these people are very strict about it. One would need to undergo a very strict evaluation before being allowed to do it here.
It is even stricter than outside. Here, they examined everything, including one’s core secret, which they usually avoid outside.
Here, things are different.
The compulsion to guard one’s secret isn’t as strong as it is outside.
"Yes, its Banis Kubor." She replied, and a confusion appeared on my face.
"I don’t think I had met him," I said, and to that she smiled. "You have not, he has been in the hibernation chamber for a decade," she replied.
"I am going there right now. You could come with me, if you want," she offered.
"I would love to," I replied. I wanted to check out the hibernation chamber for months, but access to it is very restricted.
More than the repository.
A few seconds later, we stepped out of my cottage and walked toward the statue.
Soon, we were at its feet and went inside. Though, unlike the repository, we didn’t climb down, but went up, till we reached the door with thick purple metal.
"Prime Rava, Prime Arys," greeted the middle-aged Rhino Beastman. "Prime Geres," she replied, while I nodded.
Yes, the Prime is guarding this place and not just one. There are real people inside, including the Primes.
Click!
He places his hands on the gate, and a powerful feeling envelops the whole section, before the door begins to open.
It took a few seconds for it to fully open, and we walked inside.
As we did, I saw glass spheres covered in shining runes with bluish liquid inside. Inside them are people of all levels and races.
"It’s hard to live in this place without feeling the psychological pressure. Even the Primes are immune to it," she replied, looking at the section where the Primes are.
"We are people after all, just stronger than others," I replied to which she smiled.
These people are in hibernation; most are voluntary, a few were recommended. It might seem like an extreme, but it becomes a necessity when one is on the verge of insanity.
Some place themselves here because they can’t bear to spend another day in prison, while Banis Kubor do it to prepare themselves for the breakthrough.
Hibernation isn’t rare; it happens in the real world as well.
Some old primes seal themselves for decades and centuries.
"Many desire long lives, but it is not easy to live them," said Prime Rava and walked toward the sphere.
I nodded and followed after.
I am not as old as she is; I am not even a century old. I am close but not there; she is ten times older than I, and it shows.
It’s very hard to hide the age, despite looking young.
Its why I never tried. I hid my level, but never tried to hide my age. People often consider me a little older than I look, thanks to my experiences.
I looked around as I walked, and I have to say, they have done a pretty good job in here.
I could feel the brimming life in the people in the spheres. I could not see the slightest side effects of hibernation on them.
"You have done a wonderful job, Prime Rava. Better than many outside," I praised. "It wasn’t easy; it took a lot of trial and error," she replied, but I could feel her pride at the praise.
A few seconds later, she stopped in front of the sphere with a red-haired, four-armed man inside.
"Let’s get you out, Kubor," she said and placed her palm on the floating stone control.
