MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1487 - 1487: Myriad Prodigies: Changes (1)

“…a?”

“…Ata…xia?”

“…Ataraxia? Veldanyr to Ataraxia? Can you hear me?”

“Mngh…”

Hearing someone call out his name all of a sudden, Valyr slowly roused his consciousness from what felt like a long slumber.

Taking a bit of time to fully return to the waking world, he then began to look around his surroundings, only to realize that Julian had appeared in the workshop he was in, a look of concern on the latter’s face.

Scratching the back of his head as he tried to make sense of what’s going on, it did not take long for him to recall the events that led up to the current situation, prompting him to inwardly let out a sigh.

‘Is there a difference because of the rarity of the class or something?’ Valyr inwardly shook his head. ‘I’m pretty sure I didn’t fall unconscious when I evolved Emissary of the Arcane to Mythic+ grade back then.’

Taking a bit more time to compose himself, he eventually looked back at Julian and gave him an apologetic smile. “Sorry. I must’ve dozed off at some point.”

“Did you force yourself to stay awake while Ylvar was forging?” asked the man, feeling like that was the most logical explanation for the current situation.

“…Something like that,” replied the young man, knowing very well that the truth would just confuse Julian, if not cause him to feel more concern.

“…I see.” Although his gut told him that Valyr was telling him otherwise, Julian decided not to dwell on it. “Speaking of which, where has your teacher gone? I haven’t seen him ever since I came here.”

“He probably went outside to purchase a few miscellaneous goods,” answered Valyr, hastily making up an excuse. “Is there a reason why you’re looking for him, Sir Julian?”

“The tournament is about to begin in just a few hours, actually,” replied the man, a slightly wry smile adorning his face. “Just wanted to make sure the two of you reminded, lest your teacher continues forging even after the third round has officially begun.”

“Believe me, I’ve already gone through that. It wasn’t a good feeling.”

“…I’ll make sure to inform Teacher once he returns,” replied Valyr after a bit of silence, which was more than enough of a reason for Julian to leave after that.

After making sure that the man had fully left the workshop, it was only then did Valyr let out a wide sigh of relief, activating [Soul Split] a moment after that.

Whoosh!

Watching his original identity manifest before his very eyes, Ataraxia could not help but shake his head once more.

“If I knew I’d fall unconscious just like what happens during ascension, then I would have made preparations in advance,” he muttered to himself, shifting his gaze towards the young man standing in front of him.

“In any case, I’m surprised the aura the original identity is giving has changed so much after just one evolution.”

“Hmm…” Closing his eyes for a bit to get a better sense of what changed about him during the evolution, Valyr eventually nodded in understanding as he brought up his notifications.

Ding!

[The ascension process has been successful.]

[Your class ‘The First Blacksmith (Ancient)’ has evolved to ‘The First Blacksmith (Ancient+)’.]

[As your current class is an improvement over your previous class, the stats previously received from ‘The First Blacksmith (Ancient)’ shall be adjusted to match the standards of the current class.]

[You have gained +65 DEX and +35 INT.]

[You have gained 12 unassigned stat points.]

“That’s a decent chunk of stats,” said the young man, allocating the stat points he had obtained evenly between DEX and INT before doing a few movements to get used to the increase.

“Has the evolution brought changes to my skills?” After feeling like he’d regained full control over his strength, Valyr then moved onto the other notifications he received thanks to the evolution, most of which focused on skills.

Through there, he found out that two of the class-exclusive skills had changed thanks to the evolution.

[As your current class is an improvement over your previous class, skills inherent to the previous class have been enhanced to match the standards of the current class.]

[Your active skill ‘Ephemeral Tools of the First Blacksmith’ has evolved to ‘Ephemeral Armaments of the First Blacksmith’.]

[Your active skill ‘Ephemeral Limbs of the First Blacksmith’ has evolved to ‘Ephemeral Bodies of the First Blacksmith’.]

“Huh.”

Reading to see which skills from his class had changed, a curious expression soon appeared on Valyr’s face the moment he found out what they were.

“[Ephemeral Tools] and [Ephemeral Limbs]…” murmured the young man as he brought the descriptions of the updated skills on the side.

As far as he could remember, [Ephemeral Tools] was a skill he never used due to the sole reason that his Hammer of Beginnings was just plain better.

Nevertheless, considering how it gave him the ability to conjure any tool he wanted at any level of quality with enough energy, he thought of it as a pretty handy skill, especially in a pinch.

Though, with the evolution transforming it to [Ephemeral Armaments], the versatility of the skill had been improved even further, giving him the ability to conjure weapons through the skill as long as he consumed enough energy.

Testing to see how versatile the newly evolved skill was, the young man went ahead and conjured a sword akin to the Supreme Blade of Primeval Flames, which consumed quite a decent chunk of his energy.

Continuing to infuse more and more of his energy into it to increase its quality, Valyr eventually nodded in satisfaction, only to then change the weapon he was conjuring with the skill to an arquebus.

Whoosh!

“…Woah.”

Sensing that every part of the arquebus was faithfully recreated through his energy, the young man was briefly left stunned by the discovery, especially after he began to get the feeling that he could conjure bullets inside it.

Deciding to test out his hypothesis, Valyr willed his thought into reality, only to then beam with excitement after finding out that his idea worked.

Checking to see if the arquebus could be fired under that scenario, the young man was eventually left more than satisfied with the skill’s upgraded capabilities, even more so now that he technically had a modern gun on his hands.

With a smile still on his face thanks to [Ephemeral Armaments], Valyr then moved onto the description of the evolved version of [Ephemeral Limbs].

“[Ephemeral Bodies]…” muttered Valyr as he began to read through its description in detail.

“A skill that allows the user to conjure any part of the body with energy…”

As these words left his mouth, the young man was slightly confused as to what the new skill was capable of.

Now that the limits of the skill extended to every part of the body, did that mean he could now conjure extra legs instead of arms?

Fortunately, rather than let this question linger in his mind, the young man read through its description a couple more times, making sure to thoroughly understand what the evolved skill could do.

Eventually, he began to realize what the evolved skill now allowed him to do, causing him to shudder in excitement the more he thought about it.

“So basically… I’m going from a lot of arms I need to control at the same time…”

“…To a fully automated robot of sorts?”
