Chapter 4800: The Sky Is About To Change
Muchen didn’t say anything, but he looked at their master nervously, his young mind grappling with the possibility that this incredibly powerful being, undergoing such a fierce advancement, was truly their mother, just as their Big Brother had suggested.
The Azure Emperor glanced at the three anxious children. He gently tugged at his sleeve, which was still being held by Yue’er, and slowly walked over to the stone table beneath a leafy tree, where he settled down. “Now, in the Immortal Realm, apart from your parents, there is no one else with the ability to ascend,” he stated calmly. “Your father, Xuanyuan Mo Ze, failed to ascend last time and barely escaped with his life, so it is impossible for him to ascend now. Therefore, the person who has arrived today, undergoing this tribulation, is undoubtedly your mother.”
“Then… then is our mother in danger? Will she be able to ascend safely?” Muchen couldn’t help but ask, his voice tinged with youthful apprehension.
“Master, will those who want to harm my parents take this opportunity to attack my mother?” Hao’er pressed, his brow furrowed with worry. “Is it dangerous for her to ascend now?”
“Master…” Yue’er also called out hurriedly, her small voice full of urgency.
The Azure Emperor raised a hand, a quiet gesture to stop them from asking any more questions. He simply said, “Those who want to harm her will naturally not let such a good opportunity slip by. Whether she can ascend smoothly depends entirely on your mother herself.”
“Master, please help our mother!” Yue’er pleaded, her eyes wide and pitiful as she knelt before him.
“Master.”
“Master!”
Hao’er and Muchen followed suit, also kneeling down. Though they remained silent, their intentions were abundantly clear: they, too, were begging for his intervention.
“Get up!” the Azure Emperor commanded firmly. Looking at them, he explained, “Kneeling before me is useless, because your mother’s path is different from others. What she has to do in the future will be even more difficult and dangerous than ascending today. If she cannot resolve this crisis and ascend smoothly today, how will she face her enemies in the future?”
He paused, his gaze sweeping over each of them. Then, he continued slowly, “Are you saying that in the future, when she encounters danger and problems she cannot solve, you will just kneel down and beg me to help her? You must know that everyone has their own mission, their own life they want to live, and their own difficulties to face. If you just rely on others for help, how long can they truly help you?”
The three children listened to his words, stunned for a moment. Perhaps because they were still so young, they didn’t fully comprehend the profound implications of his message, but they vaguely understood what he meant. So, the three exchanged glances, paused for a moment in quiet contemplation, then bowed their heads and said in low, chastened voices, “Master, we are ignorant.”
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor nodded approvingly. “Get up!” he instructed.
The three responded and stood up, their youthful faces still a mixture of worry and burgeoning understanding.
“Life and death are predestined, and calamities are determined by heaven. You don’t need to worry, as worrying is useless,” the Azure Emperor said slowly, his voice carrying an ancient wisdom. “She has begun her advancement today, but she won’t be able to ascend in just a day or two. Calm yourselves and go back to practicing your cultivation!”
Hearing this, the three children moved their lips, wanting to protest or express their lingering fears, but in the end, they held their tongues. They simply responded with a quiet affirmation and left together, their steps heavy with unspoken concern.
Their mother was undergoing the fierce lightning tribulation; how could they possibly calm down and cultivate? But then again, what else could they do if they didn’t cultivate? They were still so young, too small to offer any meaningful help in this colossal trial.
“Let’s go! Let’s go back and cultivate. We have to believe in Mother. She will definitely make it!” Hao’er said, his voice firm as he held their hands tightly, instilling a sense of resolve.
“Yes, Mother will definitely ascend safely. When that time comes, maybe we’ll be able to see her,” Yue’er nodded, her little face serious with newfound determination.
“Let’s go back and cultivate,” Muchen agreed, and the three of them dutifully returned to their cave abode.
The Azure Emperor watched them leave, a subtle smile gracing his face. He then looked up at the turbulent sky and murmured slowly, “I guess the sky is about to change significantly.”
