211 Are You Drunk?

Zhang Yi Hai watched his friends turn to head back to their campus before he turned in another direction. His eyes stopped at the girl who was waiting for him at the side.

“Sister Fang, I’ll call a taxi,” Zhang Yi Hai asked.

“Ah? No. It’s fine. Don’t call them. I want to take a walk for a while,” Fang Su Jin said. “I’m a little dizzy.”

Zhang Yi Hai looked at her with worry. “Are you alright?”

Fang Su Jin waved her hand. “I’m good. I just had a little drink.”

It was then that Zhang Yi Hai recalled seeing Fang Su Jin drinking with his classmates. They only met briefly but it seemed that they could get along very well.

“Should we sit down?”

Fang Su Jin turned to the boy and laughed. “No. I’ll be fine after taking a short walk.” She stopped in her track and looked at Zhang Yi Hai for a long time. “Zhang Yi Hai, I just realized that you are like an old man.”

The look on his face turned darker. He was a lot younger than her. Why would she think that he’s like an old man?

.....

“You like to worry a lot,” Fang Su Jin giggled.

Zhang Yi Hai frowned.

“You also like to worry about your sister a lot.”

Zhang Yi Hai had to admit that he was often worried about his sister. But, as a man in the family, it was his responsibility to worry about his mother and sister both.

His father had often reminded him to look after them. Later, it had become a habit.

“You should let it loose for a little bit,” Fang Su Jin continued.

At this time, Zhang Yi Hai was almost convinced that Fang Su Jin was drunk. He stared at her face for a while and noticed her reddened cheek.

With a faint sigh, Fang Su Jin turned around and continued walking along the pedestrian walk.

Zhang Yi Hai followed her silently from behind.

The crease on his forehead gradually disappeared when he saw that she was able to walk properly. At least, he can be assured that she was not as drunk as he think.

In his family, the only person who drinks was his father.

However, his father always knew his limit and would never drink too much. Zhang Yi Hai could not remember seeing his father getting drunk even when he was out with his friends.

Zhang Yi Hai did not know how to look after a drunk person and has been worrying about how she was going to look after Fang Su Jin. Fortunately, she wasn’t being difficult.

The corner of his lips turned up as he continued to watch her.

Fang Su Jin was walking with her arms swinging around. Her steps were light and it was as if she was hopping around.

It seemed like she was in a good mood.

Zhang Yi Hai had thought that she would still be upset after what happened earlier. But it seemed that her mood turned better after getting together with his friends.

The smile on his face froze when Fang Su Jin made an abrupt stop.

His brow furrowed as he watched her stand on the street watching something. He followed her line of gaze and saw that she was staring at the old man who was selling some noodles.

Zhang Yi Hai walked to her side and spoke, “Do you want to eat?”

Fang Su Jin turned around to look at him with her bright eyes before she nodded. “Yes. I actually haven’t been eating very well today.” Fang Su Jin rubbed her tummy and pouted.

All day, Fang Su Jin has been worrying about her exhibition. Later, she did not have much appetite for eating at the same table as Mika. She only managed to nibble on a few foods.

The scent of the spicy soup made her stomach rumble and Fang Su Jin realized that she was a little hungry. She wanted to eat a bit before returning to the hotel and sleep.

“Then, let’s go and eat a little bit,” Zhang Yi Hai said.

The two of them walked over to the stall and sat down. As they were waiting for her order to arrive, Fang Su Jin propped her chin with her hand and stared at Zhang Yi Hai for a long time.

“What?” Fang Su Jin always avoided his gaze. Therefore, Zhang Yi Hai felt a bit uneasy upon meeting her gaze.

Fang Su Jin recalled the conversation with his classmates earlier and smiled. “Zhang Yi Hai, I didn’t expect you to be quite popular among your friends.”

He looked at her blankly, wondering what on earth was going through her mind.

Fang Su Jin giggled as she thought of what the girls had said about him. “The girls from your class liked you a lot. Are you not interested in any of them?”

Zhang Yi Hai chuckled. “I don’t have time for that.”

His father had warned him that he should concentrate on his study. How could he have time to think about falling in love and stuff?

“Really?” Fang Su Jin tilted her head to one side. “I guess, the girls would be disappointed.”

“Sister Fang, are you drunk?”

Now that he thought about it, Fang Su Jin would not speak to him unless necessary. He knew her for a long time, but they had never chatted.

In his memory, as they grew up, Fang Su Jin would often avoid him. Whenever he was around his sister, Fang Su Jin would lower her gaze and not look at him.

“Of course, not. I didn’t have that many drinks”

Zhang Yi Hai did not believe her words.

Wasn’t those was what a drunk person would often say?

Their order of food and drinks arrived.

Fang Su Jin looked into her bowl and smiled brightly. She quickly grabbed the cutlery and started to eat.

Zhang Yi Hai watched as she slurped the noodles and handed her some napkins to wipe her mouth. “Sister Fang, you should wipe your mouth.”

Fang Su Jin grabbed the napkin even without looking up. “Oh.” She wiped the corner of her lips before continuing to eat.

Seeing this scene made him chuckle. It was now that he understood why Fang Su Jin and his sister could be best friends when they both had different personalities. It seemed that Fang Su Jin was also a foodie like his sister. The moment she had good food in front of her, she seemed to have forgotten about everything else.
