Chapter 1921: Knowing the Past

Etherna.

This mysterious race.

This taboo race.

Everything about them is taboo. Unless you reach a certain level, it is better not know that much about this race

Those who reached high realm will not be able to avoid knowing about the Etherna

Because the source of every power in existence come from the end of the war of the Etherna

Every laws and every rules comes from a particular Etherna or a combination of Etherna. Knowing about them in advance did not help that much but knowing them too late does affect many things

When Odin reached a realm where he was qualified to know and divine things about the Etherna, Odin reconstructed the war scene of that tragic war.

Azief wanted to know why Odin even bother.

Is it just because he was curious?

Odin did not answer Azief at that time, instead, he only smiles like that smile alone has the answer.

Maybe, when Azief could reach this level and do what Odin did, he would understand the meaning of that smile.

Only one ring now, as ten of the rings had melded into one. That was quite the experience, if Azief had to describe it. It blurs the line between real and unreal, between future and past

Borgan basically did what no other beings could. Connect the most distant past with Azief present.

It was like Brogan was there, still alive, commutating with him, answering his every question, when actually she had died, and she answer her question and speak to him like she was alive, because she had seen the conversation playing out since before the beginning of time

It is hard for Azief to wrap his head around such concept of clairvoyance that seems to overturn everything he knew about the ability to see the future.

Even the strongest clairvoyant that Azief had known probably could not do what Borgan did. She sees him, before the beginning of time itself.

That is how she sees things, all that could have been and all that could have be

That also means, she has seen the rises and falls of trillions of empires, the ebbs and flows of power all over the Omniverse.

Anyone brains would explode with that much information.

Most clairvoyant that have seen that much would have their mind broken.

Even if they diverted the information to the soul as the carrier of memories instead of the brain, even the soul would have broken down by such large amount of information.

It is also for this reason, the crazier a Seer or a clairvoyant, the stronger their ability to see the future.

But Borgan could still remain sane which spoke volume of the ability of the Etherna and testament to the epithet the most perfect being ever created in all of existence.

But he did not see the war

And now he sees it, but it is probably not the real scene of that war.

Azief chuckles to himself.

If he wanted to see the true reconstruction of the war, among the beings that he knows, maybe only Azul or the Creator could show him the true nature of that war

The Creator could show him because He was there.

Azul magic is the strongest of any beings he had ever seen and with that kind of power, he could probably show it to him.

Now that he sees the war, he could see many Ethernas and many beings. Pets, or war beast of the Etherna. He also sees many ships. Some are like the normal ship one would find in the ancient times made by wood and some are more like sci-fi ship.

But as Azief look at the face of these Etherna, he frowned.

“Their face could not be seen” that was his thought as he look at the faces of the Etherna fighting two beings of unlimited power in the distance. Azief is not in the middle of the battle but far away from the real battle.

Tens of thousands of kilometres away.

But the blast of energies that is radiated by these beings duking it out with each other pulverise mountains and continent, evaporate seas and burns the heaven and earth

Azief however could not see the faces of these Etherna. The face of the Creator however is very clear.

Because Odin have met with the Creator before.

That face of Arial.

The mortal king he met in one of the world he had travelled before.

The incarnation of the Creator.

Blood of Light as he is called in that world.

The Destroyer face on the other hand is blurry. The face of the Destroyer has always been blurry. And not many beings in the entire Omniverse has ever had the chance to see the Destroyer face

Those who did see His face probably pulverized into ashes before they could even see His face.

As for the face that could not be seen, it is like the faces of these Etherna is blank.

“because Odin didn’t know them”

This is the conclusion Azief had reached when he sees these Etherna with empty faces without features.

There is no nose, no mouth, no eyes, only a blank sheet that substitute what should be their faces

Because Odin could not go to the beginning of time.

The answer to why the Etherna did not have faces, why Odin who could probably reconstruct everything to perfection could not do it with the Etherna is none other than because, the Etherna is born at the beginning of time

No, to be more accurate, it is not the beginning of time

But before time itself.

There is a reason why it the Etherna is taboo.

It is because they were created before time even has meaning

For an immortal perfect being like the Etherna, time is not really something that is important. Time and space is a concept that is manipulated by them

And real time did not really start moving until their death.

If not for the fact that the Etherna lives on as rules and laws of the Omniverse, their existence itself would probably not be known.

When the One and Only wipes out a race, if He wanted to, it would be like that race has never existed from the beginning

As for some of the Etherna that have faces, Odin reconstructed it with the memories and vision he had gained when excavating Etherna ancient sites

In those sites and ruins, there is some description of the faces of certain Etherna. One of the most famous ones are Asargan

Odin shows him all of this, and Azief wonder what is Odin intention. He ask Odin this and he expected Odin not to answer.

Unexpectedly, Odin answer his question

Odin just want to make sure he understand the kind of being that he now attached itself with

And Azief did not need many words to understand what Odin is referring to.

It must be the cooperation between him and Wargod.

Wargod is sincere to him, just like Odin is sincere to him.

Even though these two beings always dances around the issue, the things that these two wanted from him, probably is different

Odin had reminded him that he is now marked by the Etherna.

And Odin wanted him to know what kind of allies he is with and what kind of curse they had

Yes, it could not be said loudly enough, Azief thought to himself.

There is a curse on the Etherna.

It would be fine if one practice the laws and rules of the Etherna.

There is nothing wrong with it

But if one associate too deeply with the Etherna, there is a chance for them to be linked in the cause and effect of this taboo race

However, Azief and Odin and even Wargod understood one thing.

That is the cause and effect is already too numerous.

There is no reason to fear more debt when the debt already reached such astronomical high

Azief was eager to watch the war in its entirety.

Azief feel like this act of watching this scenery of reconstructed past felt like…how to put it?

It is like the cut scene in a video game. The only difference was that this cut scene is real history and has a lot to do with him.
