After staying with the Blade Dancer Clan for a few days, Kyran discovered why there was such a clear gap between the executives', house leaders', and elders' perceptions of their clan's current situation.

All of them had different knowledge and understanding of what truly happened.

Kyran also confirmed this after talking with Shiloh and Uilleam, and Alta shared her thoughts from time to time.

To fix that gap of knowledge among the members of the Blade Dancer Clan, Kyran only needed to tell them the truth of what happened.

While Kyran could have been the one to bridge the knowledge gap among the Blade Dancer Clan members, he knew that Geir was the best person for the job. As the Head of the Clan, Geir's authority and trustworthiness were unquestionable, especially since Kyran had not marked him.

Zigor might have started to doubt Geir's loyalty, but since he was a sensible elder— at least, that was how Kyran perceived Zigor— he would not dismiss Geir's words without understanding his reasons.

Besides, as long as Zigor heard what truly happened, Kyran believed he would understand and might even sympathize with Geir's decision to choose Kyran's side and show him respect rather than plot against him.

Zigor and the rest of the elders initially listened with an indifferent expression. Geir looked at Kyran as if to confirm if there was something he had missed. But Kyran only nodded his thanks before addressing Zigor and the elders again.

"This plane is still underdeveloped in terms of its internal magic law. This is why communicating outside is still currently impossible. Since he believed Alta's mistake inadvertently resulted in the tragedy at the Tower of the Ancients, I could more or less understand why he wanted to punish her. "Do you understand what it means to devour another's soul thread?" Kyran asked after a short pause.

"It allows one to see a specific memory of that being."

"Yes, but memory is not the only one revealed by the soul thread," Kyran paused and narrowed his eyes before adding, "One's thoughts at that time will also become available to the one devouring the soul."

Muffled gasps filled the room as the unsaid implication now made sense to them.

"You mean Alta at that time..."

"You guys planned on rebelling against The Emperor, right? The memory that The Emperor took likely revealed Alta's thoughts on that as well. That's why he decided to destroy your clan when an opportunity presented itself."

"It is my first time hearing about thoughts being revealed to the soul thread as well, but when The Emperor took Alta's soul thread, there was a slight change in his demeanor. For lack of a term, they only dubbed their move a rebellion. Besides, their desire to compete with other clans and stand on their own did seem like rebelling against The Emperor's will.

At the end of the day, the Blade Dancer Clan only wanted to grow stronger by having their own resources without The Emperor trying to horde them for the Solis Clan.

"If that's the case, then... if there are any surviving clan members in the Blade Dancer plane, The Emperor will likely kill them all."

"You don't have to worry about them," Kyran assured Zigor and the elders. "I already sent someone to round them up and get them here using a safe route."

"I won't ask anything unreasonable," Kyran assured them. "But I want to set proper expectations on what I am aiming for when I decide to approach your clan."

"I will not make grand declarations like aiming to kill The Emperor. Instead, my aim is to overthrow his authority."

Everyone looked at him in surprise.

"O-Overthrow his authority?"

Their minds reeled at Kyran's words. Thus far, there was no one in the Higher Realm who could shake The Emperor's authority. How would he accomplish that?
