Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1221 - 1221: Personal classes

[Eon’s POV: ]

“Hmmm…” reading through the report, with a little nod, I burned the paper down and stored away the ashes.

It was a report from Miss Moon who was currently carrying out an important mission in the east. And from the looks of it, it seems like she’s gotten into a bit of a situation.

“Hmm? What’s up?” Walking towards the academy on another fine morning, Rein saw my concerned look and asked me what was going on.

The report was something she didn’t pay much attention to since she was talking with Quin beside her, but she couldn’t just ignore the look on my face.

“It seems like Miss Moon will have to start with (Knighting) on her own. She seems to have gotten tangled up in a situation over there.”

Knighting or the [Operation knighthood] that the nation of east were planning was the first step to eradicate the cultists from their land.

The mission involved various complex tactics that involved the entire underworld as well as most nations and sects of the continent.

It was also going to be the first large-scale operation from our side against the demonic cult. It was an important matter that the headmaster and we were looking after already– but it seemed like there was something that sparked the start of the mission in an unexpected manner.

“We never really catch a break, do we?” She signed, knowing full well just how complicated the situation must have been.

Miss Moon was working on it herself, but she still ultimately represented my will. She knew what she was doing and what she had to do, and she had people to support her over there.

With her current powers and the artifacts that she had right now, I know she won’t be in any big trouble. As long as she doesn’t get herself in the middle of the enemy frontlines, she will be back with the information that I had asked her for.

‘She wasn’t there to fight in the first place.’

She would avoid direct confrontation with the cult members as much as possible. Some deaths were unavoidable, but she knew what she was doing so she should be fine.

“Hmm? Lucifer? Uriel? Did something happen to Miss Moon?” Quin was worried about her as well.

She didn’t know what we were talking about, but she could tell it was something serious. After being with us for long enough, she had at least understood how to read us a little.

“There’s nothing to worry about, actually. She will be back soon. If I’m correct, she should wrap things on her end by the time we will leave for the east. I guess she will join us as well.” Giving her a reassuring smile, I asked her not to worry about her once again.

Then, to help me, Rein changed the subject for us.

“So, Quinny~. Are you looking forward to the personal classes today~?” A simple question, but it instantly lit up our dear friend’s mood.

“Yes~! Of course~!”

From today, we were going to start the personal classes after the three daily common classes.

It has been a while since the academy started but with the guidance duel and adjustment of the students, the classes would finally start from today.

“You’re not taking any Superior class this time, Quinny. How’re you feeling about this?” Rein knew why she did that, but there was no reason to not choose any of the classes.

There were some good options that she could have chosen from, but she chose not to. And the reason behind that was actually pretty simple.

“I don’t need a superior class this time, Uriel. You see, I did want to join the Superior Political Understanding of the world this time, but with the world’s situation the way it is, I don’t think it’s the right time to join that class.

I joined the High level class for Relational Connection between Tri-continental states. With my two basic classes and three other high level classes, I think this combination will be the most fun to learn this time.”

She even chose the High level class of [Understanding Null element] this time. So she surely was going for fun this time along with her studies.

“Oh~. I see, I see! How great~.” Rein was happy to hear Quin wasn’t just being focused on academics this time.

“With you sharing three of your classes with Chry, I see where you’re going right now, hehe~!” She wasn’t going to stop making fun of her though.

She loved how the two of them ‘Coincidentally’ ended up choosing three of the same classes from the hundreds that were available to them.

Chry was a pure combat focused individual as well, so we see no reason behind him choosing the Botany class this time.

“Hey! I told you it was all a coincidence! I didn’t ask him to join me or anything!” Quin was embarrassed once again.

Rein had been teasing her for a few days now, but the intensity of her reaction never decreased.

“Of course, of course~. I know you just happened to choose Botany class and he just so coincidentally happened to have the thought of relaxing this year and chose this class as well.

You know what I truly think, dear? Even though you weren’t trying to get into the same class this time, the universe wanted you two to be together.

Why else would both of you have the option to join the [Battle tactics] class of Great Lady Beatrice?”

Many of us did not have it. Not even Tia could join this basic class.

‘Even I didn’t have the option for this class.’

Rein did have the option but she wasn’t going to join this class. Lady Beatrice was very picky with her students. Even if we wanted to join her class, considering our current levels, she wouldn’t allow us to join her class.

‘That class was for the people who had great potential but near to no actual war experiences.’

It wasn’t about fighting the monsters or having the knowledge and abilities to fight beings far stronger than them. The class especially focused on situational understanding of scenarios that one cannot foresee with mere talent.

‘Great Lady Beatrice was one of the oldest and most experienced battle experts of the academy. She was a Weapon expert and had the rank of a Knight Bishop. She wasn’t a king and yet she had taught many of the knight kings and helped them reach their current levels.’

Her advice and the entire class resolved around scenario practice. It was great for both Chry and Quinny, but I still don’t understand how Rein got the option for that class when she already had such a rich experience of battles.

“You’re teasing me again, hmph. I’m not going to listen to you now.” Quin walked forward, leaving both os uf behind while the two of us tried chasing after her.

She was upset that we were teasing her when she was trying to create distance between Chry and herself. They were getting a little too close and even though they had made things clear between them… love wasn’t something they could control.

‘It was an inevitability.’

Just like how they couldn’t separate themselves into different personal classes, they were going to end up together even before they realised.

‘And the rest of us including Tia– especially Tia– are here to see them.’

Quin didn’t stop until she reached our meeting location.

The fairy friend was there already, like always, and standing with her was our captain Alpha.

“Hello guys~.”

The two of them seemed to be discussing something important. There was a serious look on their faces so I could tell it wasn’t about academics.

“Good morning, you two~. What are you up to so early in the morning~.”

A mischievous fairy and a scheming friend. Combination of these two was actually pretty deadly if I have to say so myself.

If they did end up working together someday, even I would find it difficult to go against them.

‘But then again, neither of them were easy to combine.’

They seemed to be discussing something serious from how they were nodding at one another with a certain book on Captain Alpha’s hands.

And it made all three of us curious.

“It’s something personal, ok? It’s a secret.” Tia answered Rein’s question with a stern tone.

We knew that tone and since she said it was a secret, we knew she wasn’t going to tell us anything about it even if we begged her.

She was pretty serious about secrets. The things that went to her did not go past her– a quality that made her as trustworthy as she was among her peers.

“Oho~? A secret between the captain of Fusion Stardust and the True dragons, huh~? I see you’re finally starting something.” Rein tested the two as well.

Just teasing Quin was surely not enough for her.

“Hey! It’s nothing like that! It’s about-…! You did it again!”

Tia would not slip the secret past her but there were ways to get the information from her. Rein was pretty good at it and she had managed to get some clues that she could work with a few times already.

Tia never liked it whenever she did that. She had even asked her to never do it again.

‘But Rein being Rein, playing with Tia like that was a fun routine for her.’

Whenever she did something like that, Tia would fly after her and Rein would just run around the entire garden.

Since she was faster and had movement skills, avoiding Tia in her smaller form was a fun game to her.

“Stop right there, Uriel!”

“Nope~.”

Seeing the two of them play like that early in the morning was a great way to start the day.

‘And I know many of the students around us would agree to that much.’
