Book 6: Chapter 73: Temporary Conclusion of the Type-Moon World

Chen Heng gazed at the purified Holy Grail in his hand with great satisfaction. This golden Holy Grail no longer contained dark, lumpy mud but a crystal-clear liquid.

The transparent liquid only filled the Holy Grail to about two-thirds of its capacity, quite a distance yet from full. Chen Heng had to wait for two more days until the Holy Grail War concluded and all the Servants returned to the Throne of Heroes, transferring their mana to the Holy Grail, before it could grant wishes.

However, he could already use the Holy Grail a little, as it had already accumulated a substantial amount of mana.

Chen Heng decided to continue forging Will Energy swords. This time, he drew upon the mana from the Holy Grail to assist his cultivation. Since the Holy Grail War occurred once every 60 years, the mana within the Holy Grail had been accumulating for that long in Fuyuki City’s ley lines. Even using a portion of it now wouldn’t have a significant impact. Furthermore, due to the excess number of Servants summoned in this Holy Grail War, using a bit more mana wouldn’t be an issue, as it would be replenished.

Two days later:

Apart from Chen Heng, a black side Servant, all the other Servants simultaneously began transforming into Spiritual Bodies, converting into mana and flowing into the Holy Grail.

While it was said to be all the other Servants, some, including Hassan of the Hundred Faces and King Hassan, had already transformed into mana and entered the Greater Holy Grail. King Hassan had beheaded Hassan of the Hundred Faces, and with his mission completed, he had no reason to stay in this world, so he disappeared voluntarily.

Besides the Servants who voluntarily disappeared, Luo Li had also dealt with a few Servants whose Masters had been disobedient. For instance, Diarmuid’s Master was quite deceitful. Luo Li had originally considered eliminating both Kayneth and Diarmuid, but she recalled Chen Heng’s earlier words: “Just kill the Servants. Servants will die sooner or later, and without their Servants, the Masters pose no significant threat.” Thus, she refrained from acting on the Masters.

Doctor Roman used a Poké Ball to capture the Queen of Sheba, so she did not transform into mana.

The mana generated from the deaths of several Servants was consecutively injected into the Holy Grail, filling its remaining capacity. Then, the Holy Grail left Chen Heng’s hand to hover in midair. Its golden radiance intensified, and Chen Heng’s consciousness was drawn into a chaotic space.

“Hey, Root, are you sure this Holy Grail can really grant wishes?” Sirin, who was accompanying Chen Heng during the Holy Grail wish ceremony, asked Root, who still bore the appearance of Ryougi Shiki, standing nearby. Sirin was somewhat concerned about potential complications arising from the contaminated Holy Grail.

“Don’t worry, don’t worry. With me as the world consciousness, you should be at ease,” Root reassured.

“No, I feel less at ease precisely because you’re here.”

“Huh?”

“Alright, Sirin, don’t worry. The wishing function of this Holy Grail is working properly, but whether it can fulfill Elder Brother’s wish is uncertain,” Luo Li interjected, comforting Sirin.

Having dismantled her fair share of Holy Grails, Luo Li had a basic understanding of their functions. Holy Grails primarily harnessed nearly limitless mana to fulfill the wishes of their users. With enough mana, Holy Grails could be considered nearly omnipotent. The Holy Grail in Chen Heng’s possession was one of the most mana-rich ones Luo Li had ever seen.

“Elder Sister Li, are you really not worried?”

“I know a thing or two about Holy Grails, and even though this world consciousness may be unreliable, she can still control events within her own world.”

“Hey, what do you mean by unreliable? Do you know how challenging it is to find a reliable and powerful world consciousness like me?” Root felt she was being maligned.

As Root attempted to defend herself, the Holy Grail hovering in midair suddenly flared with light. Sirin instinctively shielded her eyes with her arm, but Root and Luo Li had already donned sunglasses as if they had anticipated this. After ten seconds, the light gradually settled on a platform within the vast cavern. The Holy Grail’s radiance dimmed considerably.

It seemed that the Holy Grail had been activated and Chen Heng’s wish had been granted. However, Chen Heng’s eyes remained closed for some reason, and he did not awaken.

“Omnipotent Root, tell me, what’s happening to my elder brother? Why hasn’t he woken up yet?” Both Luo Li and Sirin turned their gaze toward Root. While Luo Li had some knowledge of Holy Grails, she had never made a wish using one. Holy Grails held no benefit for Luo Li, so she had always sold them. As for Sirin, she was even less familiar.

“Well, well, it seems that our elder brother’s wish has been granted by the Holy Grail, and it’s currently in the process of being fulfilled.”

“It’s not our elder brother; it’s my elder brother.” Sirin tried to correct Root’s statement.

“…” Was that really the main point here? Why are your concerns so peculiar? Shouldn’t you be asking me what wish Chen Heng made?

------

Chen Heng had returned home and was preparing to purchase the memory awakening service worth 10,000 points from the Dimension Administrators Association’s store.

As for the Holy Grail, it could indeed grant wishes, but it couldn’t help Chen Heng awaken his memories. Perhaps it would have been possible for someone from the Type-Moon world, but Chen Heng wasn’t from that world. These two separate and unconnected worlds made it impossible for the Holy Grail to fulfill this specific request.

However, the Holy Grail wasn’t entirely without benefits. Thanks to it, Chen Heng had already formed 89 Will Energy swords. He had transformed all the sword conceptions he had mastered into Will Energy swords, while also benefiting from the Chiliad Mind Tempering Technique’s Will Energy boost. Overall, it was quite remarkable. After fulfilling this wish, the Holy Grail still had a third of its mana liquid remaining, so Chen Heng brought the Holy Grail back with him.

Indeed, Chen Heng had taken the Greater Holy Grail back to his world. This meant that there was no Greater Holy Grail in that Type-Moon world’s timeline anymore. If they ever wanted to continue with the Holy Grail War, they would have to manufacture a new Greater Holy Grail from scratch.

In truth, achieving this goal wouldn’t be too difficult. The three founding families simply had to create a new vessel.

Originally, Chen Heng had no intention of taking the Holy Grail with him. Leaving it with a bit of remaining mana seemed reasonable. However, Root insisted on giving the Holy Grail to Chen Heng. One had to wonder what her motive was.
