Feng Ru Yan watched her bright eyes, feeling as if she had been stabbed.

“Why?”

Why was she so resolute on saving her? They apparently weren’t acquainted.

Sima You Yue was confused. Oh right, why did she have such an intense thought of saving this girl?

Like she said, by following beside her and after she died, she would attain the divine powder.?But why didn’t she want her to die?

Did she start to like girls after cross-dressing for too long?

That’s not possible?

She inhaled and quickly denied these thoughts.

Feng Ru Yan saw Sima You Yue’s expression and her smile broadened.

“If you can suppress my illness, then I’ll give you the divine powder.” She discovered she really liked the girl in front of her.

“Alright.” Sima You Yue nodded.

She could accept this. She was confident that she could keep her illness in check.

Feng Ru Yan closed her eyes. “I’m tired.”

“Then rest well. I’ll need to prepare. In two days, I’ll treat you.” Sima You Yue promised.

“Alright…”

Sima You Yue saw Feng Ru Yan appeared very tired and looked as if she was going to fall asleep at any moment. She sighed and took out a glass of fruit juice which was mixed with some herbs and placed it softly on the side before leaving.

The moment she left, Feng Ru Yan opened her eyes and examined that glass of juice. She smirked to herself. She hadn’t begun to cough yet.

After coughing for a while, she felt that she’d almost coughed out her internal organs. She thought of the juice that Sima You Yue left behind and took a sip while coughing.

Several girls suddenly appeared next to Feng Ru Yan.

“Your Honor, you should hurry back.” The head of the girls persuaded.

“What for?” Feng Ru Yan’s throat felt better; she wasn’t coughing. She laid back down. “Nothing will change even if I go back. Wouldn’t it be better staying outside; it’s rather comfortable. I might suddenly die. It would be better if I cherish this time and explore the world.”

These girls knelt and chorused, “Your Honor will be safe and sound.”

“Life and death are fated.” Feng Ru Yan murmured. “You all get up.”

“Your Honor, does Sima You Yue really have a solution?” The girl leading them inquired.

“Feng Jiao, how old do you think she is?” Feng Ru Yan asked.

“She’s probably about twenty years old?” Feng Jiao replied.

“Can a twenty-or-so person have the same medical expertise as her? She’s talented.” Feng Ru Yan chuckled at the thought of her accusing a quack.

“If Lord Jin knew he was being accused a quack by a twenty-or-so girl, what would his reaction be like.” Feng Jiao understood what Feng Ru Yan was laughing about, so she laughed along.

“Yes, if Jin knew, he’ll be hopping mad.” Feng Ru Yan spoke.

“Does Your Honor want her to treat you?”

Feng Ru Yan placed the glass aside and closed her eyes before replying. “Go investigate her.”

Feng Jiao indicated to the other girls, and they all disappear silently.

Sima You Yue returned and explained the situation with Feng Ru Yan to see if any of them knew who she was. But Third Mo and Wu Lingyu never heard of that person.

Sima You Yue saw that they didn’t know, so she didn’t ask further. Presently, the most pressing issue was to suppress her illness and exchange it for the divine powder. So that she could pass it to Ximen Feng to stabilize his situation and prolong his life!

She went to find Ximen Feng, asking for Kong Xiang Yi’s situation. Ximen Feng firmly answered that even if Kong Xiang Yi knew of Spirit Pagoda, she would not reveal it.

At night, Third Mo told her that he was preparing to go to Kong Valley When Sima You Yue saw his scrunched brows, she knew that he was thinking about the ore he retrieved. She pondered before saying, “I know a place that’ll let you begin undistracted.”

“What place?” Third Mo asked.

Sima You Yue closed her door, muttered an incantation and brought him into the Spirit Pagoda.

Third Mo heard this kind of divine artifact, and he exclaimed in astonishment. But soon, he recovered. He rejoiced that in here, he won’t be afraid even if that thing was powerful.

Sima You Yue proposed, “You stay here and research how to excavate the stone. I will bring them in.”

Soon, she brought everyone in, including Kong Xiang Yi.

When Third Mo was about to excavate, everyone was excited except Wu Lingyu who held some grievances.

Everyone knew except him. It appeared his level of importance to her wasn’t high!

Third Mo had worked for a whole day. He announced that he was ready, and the crowd watched him. They watched him used the excavation tool, moving once every half an hour.

Because the ore was extremely complicated, Third Mo had to control the conditions inside of it and choose the safest excavation method in which he peeled layer by layer.

As the inside of it begun to show, everyone got anxious. The stone that was half the height of a person was reduced to a third of a meter tall.

It was coming out!

After Third Mo peeled off another layer, everyone could already see the faint green rays of light. Everyone knew, a spirit stone was coming out.

Everyone held their breath as they watched Third Mo continued to peel.

After the outer covering of the stone was removed, everyone saw how the spirit stone looked.

A layer of the spirit stone enclosed a third of a meter long, little golden snake. The little snake’s eyes were closed as if it was sleeping.

Unexpectedly, the spirit stone’s color turned light, and the spirit power inside it disappeared. The spirit stone cracked. Inside, the little golden snake suddenly opened its eyes, bursting forth a cold and gloomy gaze.

But that gaze disappeared in a flash, and the little snake exposed a bewildered look.

“A little snake? Is this the immemorial little golden snake?” Fatty Qu exclaimed in shock.

His words startled the little snake. It slithered itself out of the cracked spirit stone and scanned its surroundings with an ominous glint.

“Hiss—-”

The little snake hissed at everyone. Its eyes were ice cold; its gaze carried an innate haughtiness.

The little snake observed its surroundings and fixed its gaze at Third Mo, who was closest to it.

“Be careful!” Sima You Yue yelled at Third Mo. She wanted Little Spirit to draw the little snake’s attention away, but she discovered the little snake vanished without a trace.

Silence ensued!

Wu Lingyu and Qin Mo frowned. They also didn’t know where the little snake disappeared to!

“Wuwuwu——”

When everyone became incomparably anxious, they heard a sobbing sound transmitted, making them numb all sudden.

They found out that the little snake had coiled around Sima You Yue’s neck, and its head rubbed against Sima You Yue’s face. It cried out ‘wuwuwu,’ and drops of tears fell upon her face.

While she was motionless, she seemed to be not able to move.
