Chapter 1097: 1097 Grand Announcement

After two hours of the meet and greet, Wolfe had learned to keep his aura under control to the point where even though the residents of Forest Grove would all be able to sense him when they were near, at least he wasn’t leaking power and terrifying them, or becoming a beacon in the magic users’ minds that would disrupt their spells.

By the time that he got back to his quarters, it was mid-morning, and the Witches were already awake and working in the common area.

“Good morning ladies, did you sleep well?” He greeted them as they smiled up from their places around the large central coffee table.

“Indeed we did. And now we’re ready to work. We’re making handwritten invitations for every Guardian and national leader, to invite them to the Coronation party, as well as for some of our business partners who wouldn’t otherwise be invited.” Cassie explained.

Priya nodded. “There are a number of small villages in Morgana Coven, and along the border of Sylvan Coven that should get the invitation, but they’re not large enough that they would normally be considered.

You can’t invite every small-town mayor to a Coronation, there isn’t enough space. Well, calling all the Guardians isn’t far off from that, but you get my point.”

The ladies all laughed as they looked at the massive pile of invitations handwritten on the table.

They were mass-produced by the witches, thick paper with real gold lettering, and a charm that gave them a pleasing and relaxing scent, then the names were handwritten on by everyone except Nimue and the twin bodyguards, Millie and Chloe.

They all had horrendous handwriting, and the others weren’t certain that the recipients would even recognize their own names on the document if they were allowed to participate. Instead, they were sorting the filled invitations by region, and checking off the ones that had been sorted to ensure that nobody had been missed.

Nimue pointed at the bags and smiled. “This is the part where you come in, Mister Wolfe. We need six thousand small portals to make the deliveries so that everyone gets their invitation on the same day.

Can you track the people directly, or do you want to just deliver them to someone in town?”

“All of the ones going to Guardians I can send directly, as I can sense their location. But for the other people that I don’t know as well, they will need someone else to deliver them, but I can drop them off in the right town at the very least.

It might be best to give the extras for a location to the Guardian and let them make the deliveries.

But that would likely be seen as rude and imposing, as they are my invitations.

I think I will do the Guardians first, and then I will do the others so that I can take the time to make a proper delivery.” Wolfe decided.

Nimue looked at the pile.

“You know, even at one a minute, it’s going to take you all day to hand these out, right?” She asked.

Wolfe chuckled. “Let me see those piles. I think that the first ones will go much more quickly than you might expect. It’s the final ones to governments that will take me a bit to find the right person.”

Using his mana sense, Wolfe could skim the world and check on any location, so if politicians were gathered, he would be able to deliver the letter directly to the leader of the group, and that should get the message to the one who needed to read it.

Or he could just go dramatic and create a pillar of fire or something above the portal, then drop the letter into the hands of a security guard. That might get it impounded as dangerous, but it should make enough of a show that everyone would know it arrived.

Rail seemed to know what he was thinking, and smirked at him from her spot at the end of one of the sofas, where she was rapidly filling out letters with the practised ease of a former office worker.

Wolfe focused on the completed invitations that had been sorted, and lifted them into the air with gravity magic, creating a grid of papers in the air. Then he focused on the names they were addressed to and opened a hundred small portals at once, directly to the Guardians, beginning with the Continental Representatives.

A gentle shove sent the letter through to the recipient, and Wolfe closed the portals to do another batch.

“See, when it’s a Guardian, it’s easy because they have a stronger mana signature.” He explained.

“And how many of them were in the bath or in bed?” Cassie asked.

Wolfe sent his attention out to the locations where he had left the letters.

“Not more than about twenty.”

Cassie rolled her eyes. So, about twenty of the invitations that they had so meticulously written were possibly in someone’s bath, or crushed in their blankets?

“I see the way that you’re looking at me. The Gravity spell is still on them, and they will hover and follow their recipient around until they are touched.” Wolfe explained.

Cassie sighed in relief, while Nimue giggled.

“I had faith in you, Mister Wolfe,” the little Dryad joked.

A second round followed, and then a third and a fourth before all of the Guardians were taken care of, and they were on to the political leaders.

The first would be the leadership of the One World Government, as it was getting later in the afternoon in their capital city.

Wolfe found their parliament in session, with most of their Generals, the Rank Five Witches, gathered and present. That made things easy, and when he opened the portal by the speaker of the parliament, he could hear that they were discussing him and the aftershocks of his advancement.

So, he passed the letter through the portal, letting it appear next to the Speaker of the Parliament, and then opened a second portal behind the Speaker’s chair, just large enough that he could hear what they thought of the situation.

They might be unreasonable and backwards, but they did govern the majority of the planet, under the protection of the Guardians.
