Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse
Chapter 3661 The Complexity of the Living IChapter 3661 The Complexity of the Living I
Was the Wheel of Existence still whole, or had it shattered, yet somehow remained capable of expressing its power as a living, Absolute Complex True Source?
Or was Noah missing something critical? Just because its pieces stretched across countless frequencies didn't necessarily mean it had shattered and scattered throughout existence.
These thoughts permeated his consciousness, lingering deep within even as the presence of Ruination flickered in and out beside him.
Ruination.
Her hand pressed against his chest, her fingers carving into him as they began altering something intrinsic, something that felt like a part of existence itself. He could feel her gaze, piercing into him as if she were looking cor something. He smiled at that. What could this girl possibly hope to find?
—
Ruination.
That was her name, and her identity. Even now, she remembered who she was. The treasure of taboo- the weapon that once brought ruin in the hands of the Sages of the Dark Universe.
She remembered the man before her. How, piece by piece, he had gathered her shattered self and made her whole. That felt like eons ago!
She remembered every single thing he'd done since. And during all that time, she had done everything in her power to be useful to him.
Because she saw it- the terrifying weight he carried on his shoulders. A burden no other existence should ever have to bear.
There were moments she had helped him. And more recently, she'd reached a state of being that allowed her to lessen the crushing weight bearing down on her master.
The distinction of a Wheel.
A Ruined Miniare Wheel of Existence.
A Wheel was a Wheel, no matter its state. And Ruination had found her purpose. She knew exactly where she needed to go and how to give back to the man who had given her everything.
Her very existence was shifting, evolving, and still, she remained irrevocably tied to him. Tied to the very concept of Ruination, and yet he had elevated her core concept into something far more.
Ruination itself had been made a Pathway to the True Source.
And that meant Ruination herself…was walking the path to becoming a True Source.
And yet…wasn't she already a type of Wheel?
Didn't that mean that she should already be a type of True Source?
The wonder of such a reality pulsed through her. She didn't tell him how close she was- not yet. She wanted it to be a surprise. He was stretching himself thin, doing countless things across existence as this was something she could bring him.
Something only she could give.
Because as she consumed more and more fragments of the Wheel, as her signature as a Wheel of Existence grew stronger, and so too did the reality that she was becoming a True Source.
Her hand cradled his chest, and she felt the boundless weavings of the True Source Atlas of Existence beneath her fingers. She closed her eyes.
In her musings, she finished etching the third Affix she was working on- meant to aid her Master and to ease his burdens even just a little.
The Cradle of Purity.
An Affix of the Ruined Miniare Wheel of Existence.
Ruination had poured everything into it. From the memories she had seen within her Master regarding the Infinite Ravines he carried in his mind—she had taken every last ounce of her ruined power and woven it into this Affix.
And still, she felt like it wasn't enough.
Opening her mouth, she finally spoke, her voice soft.
"The Affix of the Cradle of Purity is designed to take in Wild, Dead, and Living True Sources of existence and break them down into something pure and viable. It separates the corruption and taint of the complexity of True Sources by refining and breaking them down. To make that possible, as much as fifty percent of the targeted weavings will be lost. But what remains will be the pure, filtered essence of existence, known as Pure Natal True Source Weavings of Existence."
…!
The moment the terrifying words left her lips, she felt a knot of frustration as if it should have been more. The Cradle of Purity should have been capable of refining one hundred percent of the weavings…of turning them all into Pure Natal Weavings!
But she knew that Existence had its limits.
And she was still limited as her current power couldn't bend Existence that far. Not yet.
So even as a storm of crimson and gold raged around them, she finished carving a massive rune into his chest and branding him with yet another Affix. It resembled a fantastical cradle.
A celestial construct meant to receive Wild, Dead, and Living True Sources and refine them into something not just consumable by her Master…but something he could choose to share with others.
Though she would much prefer he keep it for himself.
Still…she knew who he was.
She knew that in the near future, some of the gifts that came from the Cradle of Purity would inevitably be given to a few others because her Master never stopped giving.
And at times she wanted him to take everything for himself without worry.
She lifted her hand from his chest, lost in thought, until she felt his presence glowing and warm, near hers. He tilted her chin up with his hand and smiled.
"You've just casually done something that multiple True Sources of existence haven't achieved in millions of years. And yet, why do you look disappointed? You just created a way to devour other True Sources without becoming a Fractal Being. You know that, right?"
His words pulsed with brilliance, as if trying to remind her that what she had done was no small feat.
But Ruination shook her head as she responded:
"Just give me more time, Master. I'll make the Cradle of Purity everything it's meant to be and more."
She'd set the bar high for herself. What she wanted to create went far beyond this.
Her Master understood. He nodded, his voice low and commanding as he rose to his feet, shaking his head with a soft laugh.
"You have all the time in the world. Come on, let's get you more pieces of the Wheel- whether it's whole or shattered."
HUUM!
His weavings buzzed.
And just like that, he moved forward once more.
For her.
Always for others.
And as he did, Ruination's resolve hardened even further.
A True Source was just the beginning.
She would give him so much more!
