Immortality Martial Arts: I Started with the Five Animals Health Fist
Chapter 437: Famous Sword Mountain! The Renowned Doctor Crane Arrives! (3)“Alright, I’ll go with you.”
In the end, Su Changkong nodded to Li Hongwu, deciding to join him and heal his older brother, Li Hongyi.
“Elder Su, we should not delay this matter; let’s make haste,” said Li Hongwu, relieved by Su Changkong’s agreement, and he urged quickly.
“Sure.”
Su Changkong knew Li Hongwu was anxious about his brother’s safety, so without further delay, he left the Spirit Taoist Sect with Li Hongwu.
“Take care on your way,” Helian Yuan cautioned Su Changkong.
However, Helian Yuan was not worried that Su Changkong would be in danger upon leaving the sect. Although Su Changkong was not an Innate Martial Artist, he had genuine Innate Warrior Power, with a history of chopping down Innate Martial Artists!
Su Changkong and Li Hongwu traveled down the mountain together, swiftly advancing toward the distance.
Li Hongwu intentionally slowed down his pace, worried that Su Changkong might not keep up.
While en route, Su Changkong asked, “Where is your brother now?”Li Hongwu replied, “In a mountain village two thousand li away.”
With the current pace, they should arrive by early morning tomorrow.
Li Hongwu couldn’t help but worry, “I’ve heard that only Old Man Qishi of the Spirit Taoist Sect knows the Heaven Silkworm Technique…”
Li Hongwu feared that Su Changkong wouldn’t be able to treat Li Hongyi’s injuries, and that going back and forth would waste too much time. If it took too long, his brother might be in life-threatening condition.
“Rest assured; I’ve been with the Spirit Taoist Sect for many years, and I’ve learned a bit,” Su Changkong replied without going into detail, not mentioning that he had recently joined the sect.
On their journey, Li Hongwu, being an Innate Martial Artist, had a prolonged True Qi. To accommodate Su Changkong, he occasionally stopped to catch his breath.
As twilight fell, by the time dawn arrived, Su Changkong and Li Hongwu had covered a distance of two thousand li and arrived in the wilderness of a desolate mountain.
This nameless barren mountain was overgrown with weeds, and Su Changkong could feel many robust auras amidst the wilds.
“Deputy Mountain Lord.”
Upon reaching the barren mountain, a young Martial Artist dressed in blue with a sword at his waist emerged from behind a large tree to greet them—it was a disciple of the Famous Sword Mountain.
“Hmm, how is my brother faring?” Li Hongwu nodded and asked.
The young Martial Artist replied, “The Mountain Master… the situation is not good. He occasionally wakes up but spends most of the time unconscious.”
“Elder Su, let’s go in and take a look,” said Li Hongwu, his heart tightening, and he hurriedly spoke to Su Changkong.
“Okay.”
Su Changkong briefly replied, his mind also filled with questions. In this barren mountain where many disciples of the Famous Sword Mountain Manor were stationed, it seemed as if they had been traveling for a long time. Considering that Li Hongyi, the Innate Martial Artist of the Famous Sword Mountain, was seriously injured, it was clear that they had encountered formidable opponents!
Su Changkong and Helian Yuan had asked about this matter, but Li Hongwu did not want to say more, simply stating that he did not want to involve the Spirit Taoist Sect in this trouble.
So Su Changkong didn’t press further. His purpose was to heal Li Hongyi; everything else was none of his business!
Following Li Hongwu, they soon arrived at a mountain village that looked abandoned for some time, which Li Hongwu and the others had taken as a temporary shelter.
Entering a thatched cottage along the way, Li Hongwu had the guarding disciples of the Famous Sword Mountain step aside, and Su Changkong then saw Li Hongwu’s older brother, Li Hongyi.
The man, with graying temples and bearing a mild resemblance to Li Hongwu, lay motionless on a wooden bed stuffed with cloths for padding, his breath weak, and his complexion as pale as paper—a fragile existence like a candle flickering in the wind.
“I appreciate your help, Elder Su,” said Li Hongwu in a low voice.
Su Changkong didn’t respond; he approached the bedside, placed his fingers on Li Hongyi’s pulse points, and sent a strand of Heaven Silkworm True Qi into his body to check his condition.
“These injuries… they are indeed severe!”
Su Changkong was inwardly shocked. As the True Qi circulated, he discovered that Li Hongyi’s condition was close to fatal. His body had suffered five or six bone fractures, especially the ribs, which seemed as though they had been struck by a hammer, penetrating organs and causing internal bleeding.
The organs were so violently shaken out of place that they were nearly squashed together—no wonder Li Hongwu hadn’t carried him back to Zhongling Mountain. Such an injury, if jostled too much, would not just hasten death unless the intention was to die even quicker.
If Li Hongyi had not been an Innate Martial Artist with strong Life Force, with such injuries, he wouldn’t last a day, let alone a couple of hours without succumbing!
