Chapter 258: Once a Line is Crossed, There's No Going Back!

In the Demon Continent, Moon Fairy nonchalantly dropped a headless corpse on the ground. Lifting his gaze, his eyes shimmered silver in the dark, piercing through the murky forest ahead. The forest was a haven of black miasma, shrouding everything in a sinister embrace.

A tall, striking figure emerged from the woods, her cold, stunning face cutting through the mist. Her legs, long and sculpted like alabaster, were a dazzling sight.

"What's this about?"The War Princess glanced at the headless body, a flicker of curiosity in her eyes. Judging by the clothing and the lingering power, this was a high-ranking disciple of the Eternal Sword Prison.

"I just need some adjustments!" Moon Fairy stepped back, his voice echoing slightly.

"Adjustments? How?" The War Princess was momentarily taken aback.

"Make it look like he was killed by a devil," Moon Fairy instructed.

Biting her lip, the War Princess realized this was the body double of Yun Xiao, speaking directly to her!

"Are you trying to stir up a fight between us and the Sword Cultivators?" The War Princess's expression tightened.

"Who do you mean by us?" Moon Fairy's icy gaze bore into her.

"The devils..." the War Princess replied.

"Wrong," said Moon Fairy sharply.

"Wrong?"

"Yes. Get your loyalties straight. Us should only mean you and me, not you and the devils," Moon Fairy declared coldly.

"I understand." The War Princess lowered her head, her heart seething with reluctance. She had already felt the weight of Yun Xiao's influence; defying him never ended well.

Without another word, she began to alter the corpse of Yun Beichen with her blood arts, masking the true cause of death. After finishing her grim task, the War Princess questioned Moon Fairy, "Why the sudden decision to deal with them?"

"I planned to wait, to see how things would unfold at the Sword Ruins. But these folks made me realize, on my turf, devils can be managed, but those foreign Sword Cultivators are a wild card. I don't want any risks. Killing them is the simplest solution," Moon Fairy explained.

"Yes, simple and brute," the War Princess agreed with a nod.

"Let those foreign Sword Cultivators use this body to stir up trouble with you. Then, I'll help you wipe them out. Let Feng You be the main force," Moon Fairy strategized.

"Understood!" the War Princess nodded. Though a battle loomed, Yun Xiao's target wasn't the devils. So, she chose to cooperate fully. Even if the devils suffered losses, she couldn't change that; she no longer belonged to them.

After the conversation, she turned and vanished into the dark forest. Though, the Mortal Dust Devil Seed inside her continued the conversation.

"The Eternal Sword Prison, like your Endless Netherworld, has hit a snag in widening the passage. This means it's still tough for stronger beings to enter. Even those at the current level face limits in numbers," Yun Xiao's voice echoed in her heart.

"So, your plan is to kill each Sword Cultivator from the Eternal Sword Prison as they come, and pin it all on the devils?" the War Princess asked softly as she walked.

"Refine their blood! You need to be stronger to temporarily block both passages," Yun Xiao instructed.

"What if the passage widens later, and someone unstoppable emerges?" the War Princess asked.

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," Yun Xiao replied. After that, his voice faded away, probably off to handle other matters. There was plenty to keep him busy at the Sword Ruins.

On the other side of the Demon Continent, a Sword Judge, while exploring the Heavenly Land, stumbled upon a headless corpse. The familiar attire on the body sent shivers down his spine.

"What's got you so rattled?" Old Bai called out from a distance.

"Yun Beichen, he's dead!" The Sword Judge staggered back, his face ashen, voice quivering with fear.

"What..." Old Bai and several others felt a sudden heat in their throats, their hearts pounding as if they were about to leap out. They hurried over, and upon closer inspection, they all gasped in shock.

"It's truly Young Master Beichen!"

Everyone's face drained of color, their breathing becoming labored.

"He's dead here... this is a disaster!"

The Sword Judges and Old Bai felt a numbing terror, as a shadow of death loomed over them.

"He's dead, and we'll be held accountable, won't we? After all, the higher-ups value the gifted disciples so highly. Failing to protect him is a crime punishable by family execution..."

Their faces were the picture of doom and gloom.

Old Bai sighed deeply. "Truth be told, Young Master Beichen insisted on acting alone, which isn't really our fault. But the real problem is the lack of witnesses!"

They were all suspects in failing to protect him, and none could vouch for themselves.

"What should we do, Old Bai?" The group asked anxiously.

Old Bai spoke gravely. "We've contributed to the digging here, but now, with this incident, our only choice is to find the killer and send him back to the Sword Ruins. Maybe Overseer Yun will show mercy."

"The killer?" The Sword Judges glanced down at the corpse, quickly deducing, "Such a strong scent of blood arts..."

"It's obvious, in this fold world, the only ones who could harm Young Master Beichen are those devils from the Endless Netherworld!"

"They blatantly breached our truce, acting so arrogantly. They deserve death!" a Sword Judge said icily.

"But why would they kill Yun Beichen and then dump the body here? Why not just dispose of it?" someone wondered aloud.

"There are two possibilities," Old Bai said, eyeing the headless corpse. "First, someone's framing them, wanting us to clash with the devils. Second, the devils, being naturally brutal and arrogant, are provoking us."

"Which is more likely?"

"The second. The nature of devils is cruel and violent. Plus, there's no one here to frame..."

"It's hard to say! But confronting them will give us answers," Old Bai declared.

They knew where to find those cold, young devils! Buzzing with energy, they soon confronted the group of icy, menacing devils, including the white-haired, fierce Feng You and the stunningly beautiful War Princess.

"What's this?" Feng You blocked Old Bai, towering over him with dark red eyes.

"Our Supreme Disciple Yun Beichen died in the Demon Continent's wilderness, his body marked with blood arts!" Old Bai stared at Feng You, suspecting him of the crime.

"So?" Feng You stepped forward, followed by other formidable talents from the Endless Netherworld.

"We agreed to avoid conflict, yet this happened. We expect an explanation from the War Princess," Old Bai said, standing his ground.

"Explanation? My foot," Feng You sneered. "Your Eternal Sword Prison is ruthless, killing your own Supreme Disciple to stir up trouble. Was it worth it?"

"You!"

"Back off. We didn't touch this trash. Try to pin this on us, and you'll leave your lives here," Feng You said coldly.

The older Sword Cultivators were taken aback by the brazenness of these Endless Netherworld talents, fuming with anger.

"Feng You," the War Princess called out suddenly, and then said calmly, "I killed him."

"Huh?" Feng You was taken aback.

Old Bai and the eyes of the other Sword Cultivators narrowed.

She admitted to the crime?

"War Princess, why did you kill him?" Old Bai frowned and stepped back.

"Because he offended me with his foul and disrespectful mouth," the War Princess declared.

At this, Feng You and the others' gazes turned fierce. It was well-known that devils, due to their racial talents, were the dream of many men in the Nine Hells. Many men indeed spoke disrespectfully to devil women, earning the ire of the male devils.

This was a woman of their race! Such disrespect often triggered the greatest fury in male devils.

"Dare to dream big, little worm?"

"Haha, serves him right!"

The talents from the Endless Netherworld burst into mocking laughter.

"I killed him and threw him back to you as a lesson. Next time, tell your people to watch their tongues!" the War Princess said coldly.

"You!"

With the War Princess's admission, the evidence was now undeniable.

"Let's go!" Old Bai swallowed his pride.

"You plan to go back and then bring more people for revenge?" the War Princess called out to their retreating figures.

Old Bai's scalp tingled. Indeed, that was his plan. Before he could reply, the War Princess told Feng You, "They started it by seeking trouble, so there's no more talk of a truce after killing the first one."

"So?" Feng You's eyes darkened with devilish intent.

"Kill them all!" the War Princess sneered. "Don't worry about the consequences; I'll handle it!"

Feng You glanced at Yun Beichen's headless corpse. He harbored some doubts, but with the lord's command and the War Princess leading the Demon Continent operation, he had to comply.

"Daring to offend our Endless Netherworld princess? Deserves death. Brothers, attack!" Feng You commanded with a deadly look.

Old Bai's eyelids twitched!

The War Princess had no proof, but Yun Beichen was still labeled as a man killed for lusting after beauty. From the Sword Cultivators' perspective, the situation was clear. It was these devils, tearing up the truce to brutally murder!

"Let's go!" Faced with hostility, Old Bai had no desire for a drawn-out conflict.

"Finish them off!" the War Princess's cold eyes swept towards Feng You.

"Yes...!" The Endless Netherworld talents, their faces twisted in ferocity, each locked onto a Sword Cultivator and pursued them for the kill!

Feng You suddenly intercepted Old Bai, his white hair flying, his tall and lean figure exuding a dominating presence.

"You want blood, huh?" Old Bai unsheathed his Sword Soul, his eyes flashing with sword light. "I'll trade my life for a talent like you, a bloody good deal!"

"One for one?" The War Princess's figure suddenly appeared beside Feng You, her hand lightly resting on his shoulder. She then addressed Old Bai, "In your dreams. It's two against one!"

"Your Highness..." Feng You's eyes suddenly warmed, as if invigorated. He had never fought alongside the War Princess before. Once, she lacked the power; now, she was untouchably exalted. He cast aside all doubts, his murderous intent fully ignited!

"Ow!" The War Princess suddenly felt pain in her hand on Feng You's shoulder and hastily withdrew it, murmuring to herself in complaint, "What's that for?"

"You're not allowed to touch any other man," the Mortal Dust Devil Seed within her heart spoke.

"Are you jealous?" the War Princess asked softly.

"Just kill them already!" Yun Xiao commanded.

"Fine, spoil-sport!" She bit her lip, then addressed Feng You, "If he doesn't die, you'll go back to the Endless Netherworld and someone else will assist me."

"Yes!" Feng You roared, his devilish energy soaring as he lunged at Old Bai! He would never let anyone else take his place at the War Princess' side!

A brutal, peak-level battle unfolded across the barren continent.

Meanwhile, atop a nearby mountain peak, a Four-Tailed Demon Fox stood under the night sky, coldly observing everything.
