I Have a Sword

As soon as "Zong Wu's" words fell, the air around him trembled slightly. The next instant, twelve cultivators clad in thick, black armor emerged from a spacetime rift.

Each wore heavy plate armor, which shimmered like a mirror, and they all emanated an ominous, beastly aura. Golden spears crafted from some unique material were held tightly in their hands.

Leading the group was a middle-aged man, and he was a powerful supreme elite with twenty percent divinity.

Despite that, Yue Qi's single sword strike had reduced them to such a horrifying state.

"Zong Wu" sneered. "You're the one who's going too far. Ye Guanzhi. If it weren't for your lucky break of coincidentally helping the Academy Master back then, you wouldn't have the right to speak to me."

At his command, his twelve guards prepared to move again, but Yue Qi, though weakened, stepped forward with her sword raised. Her gaze was cold and brimming with killing intent. "If I strike once more, you people will die."

The guards hesitated.

Ye Guanzhi's voice echoed. "Are you aware of the path you're on? Are you truly prepared to follow him to your own ruin?"

The middle-aged man cast a glance at "Zong Wu," and then he turned to Ye Guanzhi, saying, "Our duty demands it. Death is of no concern."

With that, they charged forward again, much to Ye Guanzhi's dismay.

Yue Qi gritted her teeth, raised her sword, and slashed out once more. In its wake, the spacetime around her blurred, and the twelve guards slowed, eventually freezing in place before disintegrating until nothing remained.

They were dead.

"Zong Wu" scowled, and a look of fear marred his face. The sword technique was far beyond his expectations.

Unfortunately, Yue Qi was left on the verge of collapse. She was truly drained and vulnerable, as she had finally reached her limits.

"Zong Wu" sneered at her. "Sect Master Yue, how about another one?"

He signaled, and four more cultivators in black armor stepped forward, each exuding a powerful aura.

Ye Guanzhi's face grew somber.

"Zong Wu" sneered. "Finish her."

At this point, this was a true fight to the death.

The four cultivators sped toward Yue Qi.

In response, Yue Qi stood up and prepared to swing her sword one last time.

Just then, Ye Guan stepped in front of her, unwilling to let her fall. Staring at the approaching cultivators, he extended his hand, and Order appeared in his hands.

Before he could make a move, a shadow flashed before him, intercepting the four guards.

A deafening explosion echoed, and the black-armored guards were blasted a few hundred meters away.

Kaboom!

Everyone turned to see a burly middle-aged man standing before Ye Guan.

Ye Guan's eyes widened. "You!"

The man gave him a wild grin and burst out into a peal of laughter.

Ye Guan was speechless.

The middle-aged man before him was none other than Heaven Seizing Dao, the Clan Leader of the Heaven Seizing Clan.

Ye Guan was shocked. He hadn't expected him to appear here.

Heaven Seizing Dao had come in his true body, as he wanted to see Ye Guan's reaction upon seeing him. Unfortunately for Ye Guan, his reaction had given away his identity.

Heaven Seizing Dao chuckled and turned to "Zong Wu."

"Who are you?" asked "Zong Wu."

Heaven Seizing Dao replied with a laugh, "Heaven Seizing Dao."

"Zong Wu" frowned. "Heaven Seizing Clan?"

He was aware of the Heaven Seizing Clan's strength, and the Heaven Seizing Clan once tried to kill the Academy Master's backers.

"Hahaha!" Heaven Seizing Dao laughed heartily. "So people still know of my clan? That's a surprise!"

"Zong Wu" glared. "Why are you here?"

Heaven Seizing Dao shrugged with a grin. "I want redemption—oh, no, I mean, I want to turn over a new leaf."

Heaven Seizing Dao glanced at the speechless Ye Guan.

"Zong Wu" was furious. "Turn over a new leaf? What nonsense."

Heaven Seizing Dao sighed in resignation. "Back then, I had no choice. Now, I want to be a good man."

He glanced at Ye Guan again, much to the crowd's bewilderment.

"Zong Wu's" face darkened. "Heaven Seizing Dao, have you lost your mind? Do you even understand what you're doing?"

"Enough talk. Let's get straight to the action!" Heaven Seizing Dao grinned and stepped forward to throw a powerful punch!

A terrifying energy pierced the air and swept across the battlefield. The four guards were forced to retreat beneath the overwhelming attack. They were completely overpowered!

"Zong Wu's" face darkened at the sight, and his expression twisted with disbelief. He hadn't expected such a supreme elite to appear out of nowhere.

Ye Guanzhi glanced at Heaven Seizing Dao, and her mind was filled with many questions. She was familiar with Heaven Seizing Dao. Years ago, the Academy Master once fought against the Heaven Seizing Clan.

It was a big incident, so there was no way she would forget about it.

She hadn't expected that Heaven Seizing Dao would suddenly appear here, not to mention step in to help them.

"Zong Wu" pointed at Heaven Seizing Dao with narrowed eyes. "The Heaven Seizing Clan is nothing but a weak, insignificant clan. Let me make this clear—even the Academy Master can't save you today!"

Boom!

Several powerful auras pervaded the air, and the battlefield transformed at once, seeming as if it were amidst a tempest.
