"Die!" Magister shouted as he hurled a mountain-sized fireball at the truck. Considering its size, there was no way the truck could evade it unless it teleported away.
And in response to that, Magister also unleashed a spell that sealed the space, preventing any spatial abilities, whether by friend or foe. With this, trapping Truck-Kun was easier.
Mascot condensed a bow and pulled its bowstring, causing the arrow to gleam with a frightening amount of power, concentrated enough to vaporise everyone at the targeted scene, including Truck-Kun.
She wasn't holding back any longer, now fully intent to kill Compass Carburettor upon observing the desperate way the Systems were trying to capture Stencil and Gehera.
Swoosh!
The arrow barely left the bow before it was right before Compass Carburettor's face, just its image causing his body to break down in response as the glass of the truck shattered, causing the bodies of those inside to begin decomposing too.
The fireball too arrived above the truck by this moment, causing everything in the region to vaporise.
Compass Carburettor slammed his Spirit Morph at the attacks, grunting in pain as he was barely able to influence a tiny portion of the attacks, realising that death was upon him. But instead of reeling into despair, his smile deepened.
After all, held in his right hand at chokepoint was the Tell-Tale System, the most valuable System. Its death would signify a rapid reduction in the expansion of the Systems.
If the natives of a world weren't wishing to obtain a System and change their lives for the better, they wouldn't scream around in joy when a System enters their body in the future. Rather, they would think they are delusional or treat the System with apprehension despite being showered with benefits.
This would imply that the resultant Mental Energy gained from the host wasn't to the respective System's benefit, causing it to make a loss. And if this continues, the losses of the System would pile up until it begins to lose a level, falling into a vicious cycle from there on.
The worst thing about this was the fact that even Grade 4 Systems weren't exempt from this rule. After all, without the firm-rooted belief created by the Tell-Tale System, the Genre Representatives would be able to gradually remove the influence of the Systems from the minds of the natives.
Following that, the Systems wouldn't gain any beneficial Mental Energy, gradually resulting in their decline. Eventually, they would disappear from history.
Only the Tell-Tale System was capable of creating the concepts of Systems representing unrivalled benefit in the minds of the people, and also forming the core principle that the world operated at, so firmly rooted that the Genre Representatives were helpless, unable to be rid of it.
The well-being of the Tell-Tale System represented the rise and fall of the Systems. This was why Zaira wanted to send the Tell-Tale System away from the start itself.
Unfortunately, the moment Arnark arrived at the scene, the Tell-Tale System became the sole individual that could counter his Core Skill of Lore. Hence, it had to stay behind in the battle all along.
Boom!
Both the arrow and fireball slammed into the truck to create a resounding explosion, but the damage wasn't dealt to the truck.
Instead, Zaira glared in hatred, diverting part of her strength to create a shield and defend against the attack, even at the expense of sustaining a mortal injury from Immortal.
Immediately after, the truck swerved away and continued its escape, heading deeper and deeper into the broken space.
"Attack!" Mascot shouted as she hurled more and more attacks at the truck while Magister worked on binding the truck as quickly as possible.
In contrast, the Regression System leaped into the fray to defend against the attacks while the other Grade 3 Systems attacked the two Genre Representatives.
The situation took a strange turn as the Systems were defending Compass Carburettor while the Genre Representatives were trying to kill him.
Boom!
Following by a resounding punch, a bunch of her teeth was flung out as Zaira collapsed to the ground while Immortal stomped on her face viciously.
"Die!" Zaira lifted her hand to punch Immortal's throat while the other party coiled himself around her like a snake to lock her joints, gradually raising the strength to cause cracking sounds akin to thunderclaps to resound from her body.
"Aargh!" Zaira shouted, struggling to break free but unable to do so as she sustained heavy injuries just now while trying to protect the Tell-Tale System. Immortal locked her hands with his legs, using his body weight to apply pressure on her hips while pressuring her legs at the joints.
His body continued to become more and more heavy, weighing as much as a million stars combined as Immortal raised his fist before banging down on her face, causing it to strain in response before forming a depression. Blood splattered out like a fountain as Zaira was getting pummelled nonstop.
Boom!
He raised a hand and brought it down with a resounding punch, causing blood to gush out like a laser and collide everywhere.
"Gah!" A Grade 2 System was riddled with holes by a wave of blood splatter, collapsing to the ground before turning still. It died from the attack.
"Shit!" The Regression System was locked in conflict with Mascot as the two simultaneously evaded the blood splash in alarm. It was powerful enough to injure even them, not to mention the others.
"Hmph!" Truck-Kun coughed in exhaustion as he brought out a bunch of trucks to form a defense line that tanked the blood splatter, exploding in response. But somehow, they managed to prevent the blood splatter from reaching the people seated in the final truck.
Zaira's blood continued to splatter as every thundered punch sent shivers down the bodies of the Systems that were alarmed at the scene, despairing at their System World being overwhelmed by the other party.
If the System World was destroyed, they wouldn't have a future.
"Quick! Capture Gehera and Stencil! Zaira needs them to win this fight!" The Regression System bellowed before rushing at the truck.
"Kill them before the Systems get their hands on them!" Mascot bellowed as she, Magister, Slayer, and Arnark charged in with the intent to kill those in the truck. The battle turned vicious as thundering sounds resounded in the back, like a ticking time bomb.
Boom!
Immortal punched Zaira once again, twisting his body to evade her resistance, absorbing the energy behind the abilities she spewed out before crashing her head into the ground that suddenly manifested, causing her blood to flow like a river.
He craned his head backward before headbutting her, cracking her skull, and causing a sea of Mental Energy to leak out from the attack, amidst Zaira's painful screams.
