Inside the Demon God Temple in the eastern depths of the demon realm, the situation was devastatingly grim.

Corpses of both demons and humans covered the ground, blood spreading from them. Above, the sky continuously distorted and exploded from the tremendous clash of demonic energy and holy power.

In the middle of this battlefield-

"..."

The hero's party faced Ahmad Leviathan, the World's Proxy.

They weren't in good shape. Unlike Ahmad who was nearly unscathed, their bodies were covered in wounds both large and small. Some could barely stand, using their weapons for support.

Yet despite their condition-

"Haha, we achieved our objective," their eyes burned with bright light.

The reason was the central temple behind Ahmad - specifically, the destruction of the Demon Core within.

"You got me there," Ahmad spoke while looking at the shattered Core with unreadable eyes. "I didn't expect you were targeting the Core from the start."

Moments ago, the hero's party had launched a desperate attack to turn the tide. Ahmad, thinking there was no need to block it head-on, had simply dodged. But their attack had twisted its trajectory toward the central temple, destroying the Core.

"How about that? You didn't see that coming, did you? Now then, for round two- Huh?"

Rain's face filled with confusion as she raised her spear with a grin, seeing Ahmad turn his back to them.

"Are you just leaving?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"There's no longer any reason to protect this place."

As he answered Claire's question and took a step forward, his form completely vanished from the hero party's sight.

"What an incomprehensible guy..." Rain's voice dripped with bewilderment as she stared at where the Proxy had disappeared.

While Eclipse sent Black Star Force berserk to multiply power several times over in a short period, Solar Eclipse was also an amplification technique but worked completely differently.

Like how the moon covers the sun and darkness covers the world.

It involved consuming the world itself with Black Star Force then making it all go berserk to become Zion's driving force.

This was a supreme-grade domain technique far beyond even "Space Consumption" that only those who had reached "Heaven" could use.

It was the first technique he had used against Liushina in the mental world.

Instantly, as the total amount of Black Star Force multiplied several times over, everything within the berserk domain - space, gravity, time - began flowing according to Zion's will.

"I asked why you weren't answering."

Though the backlash was tremendous and he couldn't maintain this state for long in his current condition, it was enough.

Enough to kill the Madness before him.

Crack!

The "Domain of Madness" and "Armor of Divine Chaos" covering the entire temple shattered like glass as surging darkness took their place.

As all surrounding darkness was drawn into the emperor's hand pressing Acrimosia's head into the wall-

BOOM!

A devastating explosion obliterated the temple building and tore a massive hole in space itself.

"I didn't feel the need to answer," Zion spoke while gazing indifferently into the hole. "After all, you'll be dead soon."

"AAAAHH!"

With a scream from within the spatial hole Zion had created-

BOOM!

Acrimosia burst out at terrifying speed, her authority condensed like wings behind her back.

Perhaps due to the humiliation of losing an arm and having her head smashed in-

"You son of a-!"

Her face was twisted with rage.

But before she could finish-

"From now on."

Zion appeared right in front of her as if he had been there all along and smiled coldly.

"Everything will move according to my will."

As her eyes trembled, unable to process how he had appeared-

SCREECH!

Eclaxia slashed down diagonally.

The Great Demon's form vanished from that spot.

Then-

BOOM!

A massive explosion erupted at the edge of the temple grounds as a single line was drawn from where Zion stood to that point.

The air shattered from dozens of shockwaves that burst belatedly from that line.

"Urgh!"

Acrimosia forced down the pain from the diagonal sword wound carved across her upper body as she rose from the debris and spread her authority in all directions.

RUMBLE!

Her demonic energy tried to reverse-consume the darkness-consumed space.

"How dare you- I'll tear you to shreds without leaving a trace...!"

The Great Demon gathered all her power and shot toward Zion.

Or rather, she tried to.

Before she could-

Grab!

Zion appeared like a ghost right in front of her and seized her face with his right hand.

"You're slow to catch on."

CRACK!

With those languid words, he drove her head into the ground.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

As if one impact wasn't enough, continuous explosions erupted from his hand gripping her head.

'Dan-dangerous...!'

Feeling her consciousness fading, Madness desperately used her authority to change the surrounding world's laws.

BOOM!

Barely escaping Zion's grasp using this, Acrimosia gathered her remaining power to create a massive spear in the temple sky.

Tens of thousands of human faces twisted with madness were carved into its surface.

The Spear of Mad Faith.

This manifestation of the Authority of Madness itself plunged toward Zion without delay.

An authority worthy of being called an extinction technique, with enough power to erase a major city in one strike.

Yet despite this ultimate calamity falling toward him alone, Zion's face remained as indifferent as ever, as if watching something that had nothing to do with him.

As the Spear of Mad Faith descended to crush him, Tap.

Zion's hand slowly reached up and lightly touched its tip.

A normal hand without any energy coating it.

But the result was far from normal.

CRACK!

Following Zion's gesture, the surrounding world moved as if alive and completely devoured the spear without leaving a trace.

Even its remnants vanished in the darkness covering the temple.

"...!"

Acrimosia's eyes endlessly widened at this incomprehensible sight.

As Zion took a step toward her-

Whoosh!

The space between them was erased, reducing their distance to zero.

A fierce exchange followed.

'What... what just happened?'

Evelyn's eyes were filled with admiration, shock, and questions as she watched.

Yes, she had known how strong her brother Emperor Zion Agnes was from watching him all this time.

The only being among all imperial forces who could face a Great Demon alone, the peak of humanity in the current era.

But until moments ago when he first faced Madness Acrimosia, they had seemed evenly matched. If anything, one could say Zion had been at a disadvantage due to the difference in total power.

But-

'The tide completely turned in an instant.'

As if their fierce earlier exchange had been a lie.

Now Zion was thoroughly dominating Acrimosia.

"Zion... you never cease to amaze me."

Just as these words of admiration left Evelyn's lips-

"Then how about this?"

FLASH!

As if trying to turn the situation around, two lines of light shot from Madness toward Evelyn and Mileion.

An attack at timing no one could have predicted.

'I'm going to die...!'

As despair filled Evelyn's eyes, unable to properly react to the attack coming faster than light-

Swish-

Acrimosia's attack vanished an inch from their faces as if it had never existed.

Questions filled their eyes at this strange scene.

The same questions were reflected in Madness's eyes.

"How...!"

She had deliberately calculated the angle and distance to draw out Zion's emotions, launching her attack at the perfect timing.

An attack that should have been impossible for Zion to block no matter what he did.

She absolutely couldn't understand how this result had occurred.

"I told you everything would move according to my will."

But to Zion this result was completely natural.

All space within the temple consumed by darkness through Solar Eclipse was already under his control.

CRACK! CRACK!

"What... what's happening..."

Madness muttered in disbelief as she barely withstood Zion's attacks.

Until just moments ago.

No, until the battle began.

Acrimosia had thought she could defeat the emperor before her.

Though he had grown incomparably stronger than when she last saw him, she believed he still fell slightly short of her level.

But with that sound of something going wrong, the situation had completely reversed.

SCREECH! SCREECH!

As if his very existence had changed.

Zion Agnes was now perfectly overwhelming her.

Every attack she launched vanished like melting snow at his slightest gesture, while his attacks struck her vital points without the slightest error.

Even when she swallowed her pride to create openings by targeting others, even when she drew out power by consuming her life force, she couldn't gain any advantage.

'At this rate...'

Her defeat seemed certain.

And defeat meant death.

'I'm... going to die? Here?'

That couldn't happen.

She couldn't accept it.

She was Madness.

One of only four Great Demons in the demon realm.

It was impossible for such a being to meet her end here.

"I'll... I'll destroy everything! You, those human vermin, and this place!!"

BOOM!

With this desperate cry, the Authority of Madness burst from her and began dyeing the surrounding world with demonic energy.

Power on a different level than before!

For the first time, the temple space under Zion's control shook and wavered.

As the world trembled like it was screaming, a crimson sphere gathered in Madness's hand at its center.

"Kyahaha! Now, this is the end! Let's see you handle this-"

Just as she was about to unleash her maniacal laughter while looking down at Zion-

"Huh?"

Her words stopped.

Questions filled her eyes.

Zion, who had been right in front of her an instant ago, was no longer there.

Then-

"You're still too slow to notice."

A quiet voice from behind her.

Next-

Click!

A sound like a sword being sheathed reached Acrimosia's ears.

A moment of silence.

Then everyone present could see.

The world from where Zion had been to where Madness stood-

Split along a sword line.

"What... are you..."

Acrimosia's body began crumbling to dust before she could finish speaking as she turned toward Zion with an uncomprehending expression.

The death of one of the Four Great Demons, the ruler who commanded all blood and madness in the world.

Given their past antagonism, it was an unexpectedly empty end.

"..."

After briefly watching where Madness had been, Zion dismissed Solar Eclipse and sent Eclaxia away.

'Managed to finish it somehow.'

Though the damage was greater than expected, taking down Madness made it worthwhile.

'Now what remains is...'

Ignoring the stunned gazes of those staring at him with open mouths, Zion turned toward the shattered central temple.

His eyes fell on the crimson sphere.

The time for Black Star Force to reach 8 stars was approaching.
