Ellena didn't stop, despite consuming tremendous stamina from that huge attack, she dashed towards the monster to finish it off.

Magic attacks won't suffice. It would just mar the surface, and Ellena couldn't create another strong magic in the meantime.

There was plenty of energy from the lightning. I am certain that she used a huge chunk of her stamina just to produce it.

Conceivably she noticed that it could withstand some numbing but was not completely lightning-proof.

Well, lightning is electrical energy, and mostly, monsters that have water in their bodies are conductive too.

This monster is just an ordinary monster. Hence, it can only resist some normal paralyzing attacks. It doesn't possess any ability to be precise. If there was, I would firmly make Ellena plan well before going.

Or I will plan well first before going. Maybe some traps would suffice if this monster possessed some ability.

Nonetheless, it was still okay. Ellena's rushing will finish this off.

A bit of 55% to 60% was left in Ellena, and she's panting in the meantime.

Indeed. It was tiring, and even I, who was watching, could feel her tiredness.

Sweats were all over her forehead and even though the fight looked like it was one-sided, Ellena was fighting with the pressure of limiting her stamina usage.

Ellena prepared her sword, rather, Light.

She used the technique as soon she shortened the distance and instantly covered the whole monster with her attacks.

Swiftly, majestically, and profoundly, the monster was covered with bruises and blood.

This is a good sign. The monster can't fight back and Ellena was holding the monster within her grasp. As if controlling the whole situation.

The monster-slaying technique involves breathing techniques. It was not just the sword attacks but also precise targeting.

"You are troublesome!" Ellena roared as she moved to another form of the technique.

She dashed below the monster, passing in between the legs, and inflicted it from beneath.

Her legs were also sliding and making swift arc movements with her sword, dancing like a feather from a writer's journal.

This is it!

"Graaaaahhhh!"

This time, it was coming from the monster and was suffering from Ellena's attack.

Ellena wasn't done though. She jumped over the unbalanced body of the monster and slit the arms towards the head.

"You are done!" she stated as she passed through the neck of the monster.

A light cut through the neck, and Ellena landed successfully on the ground with the head of the monster following her; it was removed from the main body.

I breathed. Finally... Ellena defeated the seemingly formidable fiend.

She was panting and her sweat was now soaking her whole body. The cloth was also sticking to her, and even though it was dark, her fair skin was visible.

"Take a rest first," I said as I worried about her body's condition.

Even though it was seemingly a short fight and a one-sided brawl, the fight was still difficult.

Imagine using a tremendous amount of stamina just to create that huge bolt of lightning. Those who are calling themselves strong would become laughable after seeing it.

It was majestic. It is beautiful inside!

"That was... tiring fight... It appears that magic and swords won't suffice," she mumbled as she breathed in between her words.

Indeed. If it was me, I would surely surrender and think of making a trap before fighting it head-on.please visit

But it wasn't me. It was Ellena and her tactical decisions were different from mine.

"Perhaps..." I said.

Then, I need to create a machine gun if ever.

Ah... It will be impossible for me to create one. But still, it appears that its importance is emerging.

"I'll get the materials," Ellena said, then stood up and approached the corpse of the monster.

The blood was everywhere and disgusting to see... if normal people saw this, it would be enough to make them puke.

Ellena slowly approached the body, then slit the fur around it. The sound of the slitting resounded but some sound overwhelmed it, even weirder since it wasn't from the action Ellena was making.

The sound wasn't from dismantling the corpse. But instead, it was coming from the stomach of the monster.

Right! The monster was pregnant.

Ellena slowly turned her face to me. There was something in her face as if she was worried about what she had just heard.

I know that it wasn't from being afraid, but a concerning face.

"Aaron... there was a baby inside the stomach."

I know she'll think of it as well.

"Check it."

She nodded then slightly moved the body upside down. There, in the stomach, was a slit slightly opening the womb of the monster.

Ellena sighed with stress. She slowly opened the stomach and it was also fortunate that she didn't thrust the stomach.

If she did it, the baby inside would die.

When Ellena finally opened the womb, the figure of a small body appeared. It was covered with sticky red liquid and slightly blue.

It wasn't blue, actually. But rather, it was a weak-looking baby that appeared to have a weak body.

"Aaron... what should I do with this baby?"

Ugh... I can't answer it. I was silent for a minute and she expected my answer.

What should we really do to this mons- baby? It was innocent if I think of it rationally.

Ugh... this is a child and I don't know how I should see this. This broaxen child is something that came from a fierce monster.

What should we do?

Can we raise it or just kill it? Or leave it in the woods?

I don't know... We don't practice indiscriminate killing and unnecessary deaths.

"What should we do?" she asked again, pressuring me.

"Can we raise it? I am also gentle with children, you know. Perhaps because of you."

I could just grumble and admit it. She made me soft and in those years I spent watching her, I acquired the trait of cherishing children.

We can't slay it anyway. This baby is still innocent and could be taught or trained, just like animals.

"This is an innocent child, right? Can I... keep it?"

There we are. It feels like I don't need to be reasonable when it comes to children.. They are all innocent and their instincts can be painted with training and kindness.
