Kyle asked Calista to slit her wrist and something told her he wasn’t bluffing. There was nothing behind his eyes and she instantly regretted proposing such in the first place.

But she wasn’t going to back out, Calista brought the knife down on her wrist and pressed it hard enough to draw blood expecting Kyle to stop her.

However, Kyle didn’t and it was almost like he was in a trance and Calista decided that she had to stand on business or Kyle wouldn’t take her seriously.

“What are you waiting for?” Kyle asked but this was what hurt Calista’s ego, the way he was looking down at her like she was some sort of roach.

In the heat of the moment, she dug it deep enough for it to cut through a decent amount of flesh but that wasn’t all.

She attempted to drag it vertically to rip open her flesh and make it near impossible for Kyle to stop the bleeding should she proceed.

Of course, Calista didn’t think this far ahead and was overcome by adrenaline.

Fortunately for her, Kyle grabbed her wrist and prevented her from completing the motion that would have done irreparable damage.

“How sad…” Kyle muttered under his breath, looking at her wrists before bringing it to his lips and planting a soft kiss on it.

Calista was a fanatic but this was over the top even for her but Kyle knew he could use it to his advantage.

The last thing he needed was an upcoming actress dying in his apartment and putting all eyes on him.

“Don’t pity me…” Calista responded before gently yanking her hand away.

“How could I not? Poor Calista, did Daddy not love you enough?” Kyle questioned but he was mocking her.

“Stop it…” Calista warned but Kyle wanted to see how far he could push her.

To his utmost surprise, her affection bar remained despite the abuse she was getting from him.

“I’m sorry Calista… I have had a busy day and I think I might be taking my frustrations out on you…” Kyle decided to take a different route as he had confirmed what he wanted to do.

“I-It is fine! I will be here to help you however I can,” Calista’s eyes lit up because she knew this was positive news for their relationship.

“Are you sure? Be careful with what you promise or I just might test it,” Kyle said, staring at her wrist.

Calista knew what he was insinuating but he was justified because it wasn’t lost on Calista how pathetic she looked.

Aiysha was in the room with Jones, they hadn’t been intimate in days until they could sort out what was going on in their marriage.

Aiysha didn’t cheat but there was something fundamentally wrong with what had happened between them.

They lay in bed but Aiysha was wide awake because she worried her marriage was beyond repair. She was self-aware enough to understand she played a role in how her marriage unfolded.

Jones offered to move out until they had resolved their issues because this is one of the pillars of marriage. It was trust and they no longer trusted each other.

“What did you talk to Kyle about?” Aiyhsa finally mustered the courage to have this difficult conversation.

“I told him I was sorry for hitting him. It wasn’t in my place to do so,” Jones responded but there was an air of tension lingering.

“It isn’t your fault,” Aiysha responded, almost relieved that they could sort things out among themselves.

“I also told him that he could…” Jones paused as if something got stuck in his throat and realized that this was a big deal.

“He could…?” Aiysha repeated, waiting for him to complete his sentence.

“I told him he could have yo-!” Jones couldn’t even complete his sentence before Aiysha flinched.

“You did what!?” Aiysha screamed at him. She had been nothing but faithful and trying her best to remain so. She told him everything but this was disrespectful and over the line.

“Hear me out at least! You owe me that much!” Jones shouted.

“I don’t owe you anything! You didn’t think to talk this through with me!?” Aiysha barked at him.

She was furious and rightfully so because the last person that she expected to do this was her husband.

“It just slipped out…” Jones said but Aiysha wasn’t going to let him off the hook.

“This is the problem. This has always been the problem! You don’t think about how your actions affect others! You just do and expect everything to be alright. Just because you think what you do is right, doesn’t make it right,” Aiysha made her feelings known, raising her voice at him.

“I can’t even look at you right now! Do you want me to fuck him? Is that it?” Aiysha was furious and the angrier she got, the more of a mistake Jones realized he made.

This would explain Kyle’s reaction to his offer as well but he was going to do everything in his power to make his marriage work.

But he knew now wasn’t the time to talk, he needed to let her get everything off her chest.

Aiyhsa took a deep breath and remained silent for a minute. She needed to get her emotions under control.

She knew that Jones might have crossed a line but he was still her husband.

There had to be a reason behind such a stupid decision and Jones caught on that his wife was giving him space to explain himself.

“I think it is best we have this conversation when we both calm down…” Jones said before getting up and heading to the living room to spend the night.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Aiysha asked, forcing Jones to stop in his tracks.

“I’m going to sleep in the parlour…” Jones responded.

“Boy, get your ass back in this bed!” Aiysha threatened, it had been ages since he heard her speak this way but she only did it when she was mad.

However, they had a rule. Regardless of how they feel after a fight, they will always share the same bed.
