Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!
Chapter 235 - 235: Jones' Offer!?Aiysha left Kyle alone with Jasmine but Jones saw his wife exiting his apartment, his eyes meeting Kyle’s at the door.
Kyle thought about closing it and leaving the man to his insecurities but this was something that could be talked about.
If there was a chance at reconciliation then he owed it to himself and Jones to give it a try.
It wouldn’t make sense to end a solid friendship over a misunderstanding.
“Jones…” Kyle called out, prompting Jones to stop in his tracks and face his direction.
“I need your help, mind lending me a hand?” Kyle said and Jones shared a look of confusion with Aiysha but this was a good chance to fix things with Kyle.
But there was no doubt, it was a gradual process but Kyle had slowly established himself as someone out of their league.
This played a role in their relationship, one could say Jones was intimidated by Kyle.
Jones walked towards Kyle without saying a word but Kyle caught a glimpse of Aiysha’s worried facial expression.
Who knows? Maybe Kyle was the reason that the passion in their marriage would be rekindled.
Jones walked in and Kyle closed the door behind him.
“Hey man, about earlier..” Jones tried to immediately apologize.
“The only thing that I will be mad about is you didn’t hit me with your full strength,” Kyle said because Jones could have easily dislocated his jaw if he put his back into it.
“It is just… my wife, she is very important to me,” Jones said but Kyle realized that Aiysha must have cleared the air.
“I know and you are to her,” Kyle reassured him. He knew about Jones’ insecurities as he had opened up to him.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, you know? If anything, if you didn’t hit me. I would have respected you less,” Kyle said and Jones was visibly relieved by all of this.
He knew that Kyle had every right to be angry and that forgiveness was a luxury.
“The kid…” Jones said, pausing before he could air out his true thoughts as he didn’t know where his relationship currently stood.
“That is a long story!” Kyle said with a look of disbelief because his life in the past 24 hours had been something right out of a movie.
Jones knew not to push it and wanted to know why his wife was there even though he didn’t say a word. Kyle caught on.
“You’re wondering why Aiysha was here, aren’t you?” Kyle questioned to which Jones nodded to confirm it.
“No worries, it was to iron things out. The same reason you’re here right now,” Kyle responded but Jones still looked uneasy.
“You know…” Jones began but stopped right away like something was stuck in his throat.
“Yeah?” Kyle responded, giving him the floor to express himself as he had no time for the suspense.
He would much rather watch over Jasmine but Aiysha had managed to break her fever so it was only a matter of time before she recovered.
“I know this wasn’t a one-sided thing,” Jones said but Kyle raised his eyebrow upon hearing this.
“C’mon, man. Are we still on this?” Kyle asked, visibly exhausted by this conversation.
“That’s not what I mean…” Jones said. Kyle kept quiet, leaving the floor for him to express himself.
“My wife, Aiysha… I know things could only reach that stage if she allowed it,” Jones began.
“I have tried my best to make up for my sins of the past but there is a part of me that thinks I’m not worthy of it,” Jones continued and Kyle realized what this was.
This wasn’t Jones seeking his forgiveness, this was Jones connecting the dots and admitting the role his wife had to play in this.
Kyle wasn’t the first man to make moves on his wife but he was the first that make her falter, the first to make her hide the truth from him.
There had to be a reason for that and it was simple, it was because Aiysha allowed it.
“I think my wife has a thing for you…” Jones said with his fists clenched but Kyle chuckled at this.
“What is funny?” Jones questioned, feeling defensive.
“Of course it is, do you think people don’t find others attractive simply because they are married?” Kyle proposed the question.
“Ask yourself why you cheated. What matters is if you act on it,” Kyle informed him.
He was surprised that Jones was just reaching this conclusion like it was some big revelation.
“I’m not judging you. You never thought your wife would cheat once upon a time because she couldn’t but now that she looks like this… It scares you,” Kyle informed him.
“You’re right. I’m a fucking mess!” Jones looked tired of his insecurity because he would always think his wife would want to get back.
“I don’t know man… The fact that she kept it away from me meant that she considered it…” Jones knew Kyle wasn’t at fault but he needed somewhere to put his anger.
“You don’t have to worry about it, I will be out of your hair soon enough,” Kyle informed Jones that his worry was temporary.
“You don’t get it… That wouldn’t change anything, she did CONSIDER it…” Jones said and it was the principle behind it rather than the act itself.
As it proposed the question, what else was she keeping away from him?
“So what are you saying?” Kyle asked Jones because it sounded like Jones had something in store.
“Kyle, I know what I’m about to say might sound crazy but I think I will feel better if it is you…” Jones said.
“Why does it sound like you’re about to ask me to sleep with your wife?” Kyle said jokingly because he remembered that Jones had given Aiysha a free card.
Jones would rather she used that one card on someone he knows rather than someone he didn’t.
“Say sike right now,” Kyle said but the look on Jones’ face said otherwise.
