Greek Mythology: I open a treasure chest at Olympus
Chapter 13: Amphitrites Invitation
Chapter 13: Amphitrite's Invitation?
Apollo and several people turned their attention to the waves at the same time.
In the azure sea, the bright light turned, and the noblewoman with long pale blue hair fluttered, and her delicate face was as white as jade as she walked out with gentle steps.
Her slender and gorgeous blue robe couldn’t hide her delicate curves, and her olive-colored eyes were brighter than the stars.
“Goddess Amphitrite.” Asteria gave her a soft salute.
Oceanus also eased his anger and nodded to the woman.
This woman was the daughter of Oceanus, the wife of Poseidon, and the current queen of the sea, the goddess Amphitrite.
Apollo also knew this goddess.
Although she was a shallow profile, this goddess was not a simple character.
Emperor Poseidon and his brother Zeus have always been half-hearted in their approach to life, but the gods are aware of Hera’s reputation for jealousy and love to harass the goddess.
But no one had ever spread any rumors about this Queen of the Sea.
Regardless of how powerful Poseidon was, he had never shaken her status.
“Lord Father, Sister Asteria, we are all children of Mother Earth, Gaea. We can sit down and reconcile things slowly, and there is no need to be so unpleasant.”
Amphitrite smiled and walked between Asteria and Oceanus and separated them.
Oceanus sneered, “You just said you would apologize to her on my behalf. Did you see your brother’s face?”
Amphitrite sighed: “Father, this is because my brother is wrong. He has been very indulgent in the ocean these years, and now he is still involved in the dispute of Olympus; it is good to be taught a little lesson.”
With that, she turned her gaze to Apollo and said with a light smile, “This is the child of the King of Gods and Goddess Leto, isn’t it? It’s so good-looking.”
As he said, she took out a bright bead from her arm, “This is a birthday present from His Majesty the Sea Emperor. I think it suits you very well, Apollo.”
Seeing this pearl, the expressions of Oceanus and Asteria could not help change.
Oceanus shouted: “I asked you to give it to your brother to help him break through the main god, but you disagreed. Now you are actually giving it to an outsider.”
“This is too precious, and I ask the goddess to take it back.” Asteria also said.
Amphitrite grabbed Apollo’s hand and put the bead on it with a faint smile. “What’s so precious about it? Give it to the child for fun.”
Then she turned her head to look at Oceanus: “Father, take this brother back for treatment. Fortunately, he did not become the main god, otherwise, the disaster would be even greater.”
“Humph, the daughter who married outside is really not my family anymore!”
Oceanus stomped his feet in anger and carried the unconscious Achelous away in the sea waves.
As soon as he touched the pearl, Apollo felt a gentle force that slowly poured into his body, and the divine power in his body seemed to be activated and grew autonomously.
“This is the deep sea’s core. The effect of it is to increase divine power and strengthen the bloodlines. It is very useful to the ocean gods. It is also a precious treasure.” Hecate said to him.
As the two spoke, Amphitrite turned around with an apologetic face.
“My sister Asteria, I’m really sorry. My father has always been so savage and stubborn. I apologize to you for everything he and my brother have done.”
Asteria was a little overwhelmed because the Queen of the Sea had lowered her posture so much.
Apollo walked to the front and mumbled, “Aunt Amphitrite, thank you for the pearl you gave me.”
Amphitrite lowered her body full of love and exclaimed: “Fate really favors His Majesty the King of God, first Athena, and now Apollo. You are all such excellent gods.”
She pursed her lips and sighed: “As you should have seen, my father is stubborn and arrogant, and he knows nothing except giving birth to children.
I have 3,000 brothers and 3,000 sisters, most of whom have been sent to marry and cling to each other. For him, we are just tools. ”
The corners of Apollo’s three mouths could not help but twitch.
He said that Zeus and Poseidon were famous womanizers among the gods.
But these two were nothing at all compared to Oceanus, the master of the ocean.
Six thousand sons and daughters, half of the entire divine race, were the descendants of the Great Ocean Lord.
Unfortunately, these gods were basically very mediocre. Only Amphitrite and Metis and a few others were outstanding, but they were also married off.
But why would Amphitrite say this?
But Amphitrite squatted down kindly and looked at Apollo and said.
“I’ve also heard about the experience of Goddess Leto. His Majesty, the King of God, is so ruthless. You children are so pitiful, and you haven’t seen your father yet, have you?”
She sighed, her eyes were a little dark: “My poor sister Metis had such a tragic experience back then, but it’s a pity that I couldn’t help my sister like you, Asteria.”
“Fortunately, Athena went through hardships and finally got a place in Olympus. I am proud of her.”
She said to Apollo:
“You haven’t met Athena yet? She’s my sister’s daughter and your sister, you still look alike, both with such dazzling blonde hair.”
“Twenty years from now, it will be the coming-of-age ceremony of my child, Triton. I have invited Athena over, and Apollo, you, and Hecate can also come over to attend.”
She looked solemnly at Asteria.
The latter pondered for a while, then nodded and said, “I will let Apollo and Hecate go.”
“In that case, I look forward to seeing you again.” Amphitrite smiled lightly as her figure disappeared into the sea.
When she left, Asteria furrowed in disbelief.
Hecate suddenly raised her head and said, “Mother, do you think Goddess Amphitrite’s attitude is strange?”
I heard something in the past that might be connected to this somehow.
